< Ngeche 31 >
1 Weche mag Ruoth Lemuel, ma gin weche matut ma min mare nopuonje.
The words given to King Lemuel; the prophecy which his mother taught him.
2 Yaye wuoda, yaye wuoda mane anywolo! Winja, in wuoda mane anywolo bangʼ ka Nyasaye osewinjo lemo mane atimonego singruok.
What, O my son! and what, O son of my womb! Yea, what, O son of my vows! [[shall I say to thee?]]
3 Kik iket tekri kuom mon, kata nyalo mari kuom jogo maketho ruodhi.
Give not thy strength to women, Nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings!
4 Ok en gima owinjore ne ruodhi, yaye Lemuel, mondo ruodhi omadh math makech, kata jotelo ogomb kongʼo gi chunygi duto,
It is not for kings, O Lemuel! It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes to desire strong drink;
5 nono ka gimetho to wigi diwil gi gima chik ochiko, ma gihiny joma ok nyal ka gitamogi e ratichgi.
Lest they drink, and forget the law, And pervert the rights of any of the afflicted.
6 Chiw kongʼo ne jogo ma chunygi ool, to math makech ne jogo ma chunygi lit.
Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, And wine to him that hath a heavy heart;
7 Wegi mondo gimethi mondo wigi owil gi chan-gi kendo kik gichak gipar chandruokgi kendo.
Let him drink and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more!
8 Wuo ka ichwako joma ok nyal wacho wachgi gin giwegi, ka ichwako jogo maonge nyalo.
Open thy mouth for the dumb, In the cause of every orphan!
9 Wuo kendo ngʼad bura kare, chwak ratich jogo ma jochan kod jogo mochando.
Open thy mouth, judge righteously, And maintain the cause of the poor and needy!
10 Dhako ma kite longʼo en ngʼa manyalo nwangʼo? Nengone oloyo kite ma nengogi tek.
Who can find a capable woman? Her worth is far above pearls.

The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he is in no want of gain.

She girdeth her loins with strength, And maketh strong her arms.
18 Oneno ni gik moloso miye ohala to tache ok tho gotieno.
She perceiveth how pleasant is her gain, And her lamp is not extinguished in the night.
19 Ei lwete otingʼo yie rombe kendo omako gir chwecho gi lith lwetene.
She putteth forth her hands to the distaff, And her hands take hold of the spindle.
20 Oyawo bade ne joma jochan kendo otero lwete ne jogo mochando.
She spreadeth out her hand to the poor, Yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 Ka piny ngʼich, oonge luoro ne joode, nikech giduto girwakore gi nengni mapichni.
She hath no fear for her household on account of the snow, For all her household are clothed with crimson.
22 Oloso raum ne kitandane, orwakore gi lewni marep-rep maralik ma nengogi tek.
She maketh for herself coverlets; Her clothing is of fine linen and purple.
23 Chwore imiyo luor e dhoranga dala maduongʼ, kama obedoe e dier jodongo mag gwengʼ.
Her husband is known in the gates, When he sitteth with the elders of the land.

She maketh linen garments and selleth them, And delivereth girdles to the merchant.
25 Orwakore gi teko kod dimbruok; omiyo onyalo bedo mamor e ndalo mabiro.
Strength and honor are her clothing; And she laugheth at the days to come.
26 Owuoyo gi rieko kendo puonj mar adiera ni e lewe.

Her children rise up, and extol her; Her husband, and praiseth her, [[saving, ]]
29 “Mon mangʼeny timo gik mabeyo, to in iloyogi duto.”
“Many daughters have done, virtuously, But thou excellest them all.”
30 Ber mar wangʼ wuondo ji, to chia bende rumo; to dhako moluoro Jehova Nyasaye yudo pak.
Grace is deceitful, and beauty vain; But the woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Give ye her of the fruit of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.
