Filemon 1
1 An Paulo ngʼat motwe nikech Kristo Yesu kod owadwa Timotheo, Wandikoni osiepwa mwageno kendo jatich wadwa Filemon,
Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy [our] brother, to Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow-laborer,
2 kaachiel gi nyaminwa Afia gi Arkipo jalweny wadwa, kod kanisa malemo e odi:
And to [our] beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Ngʼwono kod kwe moa kuom Nyasaye Wuonwa kod Ruoth Yesu Kristo obed kodu.
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Adwokone Nyasacha erokamano pile ka aluongo nyingi e lemona,
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5 nikech awinjo kuom yie ma in-go kuom Ruoth Yesu, kendo kuom hera miherogo jomaler duto.
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus, and towards all saints;
6 Alemoni ni mondo iland yie ma in-go motegno, mondo eka ibed gi ngʼeyo matut kuom gik mabeyo duto ma wan-go ei Kristo.
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 Hera ma in-go osemiya mor maduongʼ kendo osejiwa, nikech in, owadwa mahero, isedwogo chunje jomaler.
For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Kuom mano, kata obedo ni kuom Kristo ne anyalo bedo gi chir mar chiki mondo itim gima onego itim,
Wherefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient.
9 to koro asayi mondo itim kamano nikech hera. Koro an Paulo awuon, ma jaduongʼ, kendo motwe nikech wach Kristo Yesu,
Yet for love's sake I rather beseech [thee], being such one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10 akwayi kuom wach wuoda Onesimo mane odoko wuoda ka an e twech.
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11 Ne onge konyruok mane Onesimo keloni to sani koro okelo konyruok maduongʼ ne in kaachiel kod an bende.
Who in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12 Aore mondo oduog iri, kata obedo ni chunya ogene ahinya.
Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, my own bowels:
13 Dahero bedo kode ka mondo okonya kaeni kapod an e od twech nikech Injili.
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered to me in the bonds of the gospel:
14 To ne ok adwar timo gimoro amora ka ok in ema iyie, mondo tim ngʼwono moro amora mitimo kik bed gima ochun, to obed gima itimo nikech ihero.
But without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15 Nyalo bet ni Onesimo nowuok iri kuom kinde manok mondo iyud thuolo mar kawe chuth bangʼe, (aiōnios g166)
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldst receive him for ever; (aiōnios g166)
16 ok kaka misumba to kaka owadu migeno ma en ngʼat moloyo misumba. En ohala ne an, to angʼeyo ni en ohala moloyo ne in bende, ok mana kaka ngʼato angʼata, to kaka owadu kuom Ruoth.
Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more to thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17 Omiyo ka ikwana kaka ngʼama ni kodi e achiel kuom yie to rwake mana kaka dirwaka.
If thou accountest me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18 Kaponi osetimoni marach, kata ka en-gi gopi moro to kwan-gi e wiya.
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth [thee] aught, put that on my account;
19 Andikoni baruwani gi lweta awuon an Paulo, ka anyisi ni abiro chuli, kata ka ok aparoni ni in kod gopa ma en ngimani owuon.
I Paul have written [it] with my own hand, I will repay [it]: although I do not say to thee that thou owest to me even thy own self besides.
20 Gima agombo maduongʼ, owadwa, en ni mondo iyie itimna ngʼwono kuom Ruoth, kidwogo chunya kuom Kristo.
Yes, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Nikech angʼeyo maber ni iwinjo wach, andikoni ka an gi adiera ni ibiro timona maber moloyo kaka akwayi.
Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote to thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22 Kwayo machielo ma an-go en ni mondo ilosna kar nindo, nikech an-gi geno ni ibiro gonya mana kaka usebedo kulamo.
But at the same time prepare me also a lodging; for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given to you.
23 Epafra motwe koda kaachiel nikech wach Kristo Yesu ooronu mos.
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus;
24 Mariko bende omosou kaachiel gi Aristarko gi Dema kod Luka, ma gin jotich wetena.
Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellow-laborers.
25 Ngʼwono mar Ruoth Yesu Kristo mondo obed kod chunyi.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen.
