Nehemia 11

1 Koro jotend oganda nodak Jerusalem, kendo joma nodongʼ nogoyo ombulu ka giyiero achiel kuom ji apar mondo odag Jerusalem, dala maduongʼ maler, to ji ochiko mane odongʼ, to nowe e miechgi.

And the rulers of the people dwelt in Jerusalem, —and, the rest of the people, cast lots, to bring in one out of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts in [other] cities.

2 Ji nogoyo erokamano ne joma nochiwore mondo odag Jerusalem.

And the people bestowed a blessing on all the men, who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 Magi e jotelo mane odak Jerusalem mamoko ne gin jo-Israel, jodolo, jo-Lawi, jotij hekalu kod nyikwa jotij Solomon manodak e mier matindo mag Juda, ka moro ka moro e kare owuon e mier matindo mopogore opogore.

Now, these, are the chiefs of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, but, in the cities of Judah, dwelt every man in his possession throughout their cities, Israel, the priests, and the Levites and the Nethinim, and the Sons of the Servants of Solomon.

4 Jo-Juda kod jo-Benjamin bende nodak Jerusalem. Koa kuom nyikwa Juda ne gin: Athaya wuod Uzia, ma wuod Zekaria, ma wuod Amaria, ma wuod Shefatia, ma wuod Mahalalel, ma nyakwar Perez;

And, in Jerusalem, dwelt certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin, —Of the sons of Judah, Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;

5 kod Maseya wuod Baruk, ma wuod Kol-Hoze, ma wuod Hazaya, ma wuod Adaya, ma wuod Joyiarib, ma wuod Zekaria, ma nyakwar Shela.

and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.

6 Nyikwa Perez maroteke mane odak Jerusalem noromo kwan-gi noromo ji mia angʼwen gi piero auchiel gaboro.

All the sons of Perez who were dwelling in Jerusalem, four hundred and sixty-eight, men of ability.

7 Koa e nyikwa Benjamin ne gin: Salu wuod Meshulam, ma wuod Joed, ma wuod Pedaya, ma wuod Kolaya, ma wuod Maseya, ma wuod Ithiel, ma wuod Jeshaya,

And, these, are the sons of Benjamin, —Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah;

8 kod jolupne, ma gin Gabai kod Salai. Giduto ne gin ji mia ochiko gi piero ariyo gaboro.

and, after him, Gabbai, Sallai, —nine hundred and twenty-eight.

9 Joel wuod Zikri ema ne jatendgi maduongʼ, to Juda wuod Hasenua norito gwengʼ mar ariyo mar dala maduongʼno.

And, Joel son of Zichri, was in charge over them, —and, Judah son of Hassenuah, was over the city, as second.

10 Koa kuom jodolo ne gin: Jedaya wuod Joyarib; Jakin;

Of the priests, Jedaiah son of Joiarib, Jachin;

11 Seraya wuod Hilkia, ma wuod Meshulam, ma wuod Zadok, ma wuod Merayoth, ma wuod Ahitub, mane en jatelo morito od nyasaye,

Seraiah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, chief ruler of the house of God;

12 kod jotich kaachiel kodgi, mane dhi nyime kod tich mar hekalu. Giduto ne gin ji mia aboro gi piero ariyo gariyo. Ne nitiere bende Adaya wuod Jeroham, wuod Pelalia, wuod Amzi, wuod Zekaria, wuod Pashur, wuod Malkija,

and their brethren who were doing the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two, —and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah;

and his brethren, ancestral chiefs, two hundred and forty-two, —and Amashsai son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer;

14 kod joma ne tiyo kanyakla kodgi, mane gin joma roteke. Giduto ne gin ji mia achiel gi piero ariyo gaboro. Jatendgi maduongʼ ne en Zabdiel wuod Hagedolim.

and their brethren, strong men of ability, a hundred and twenty-eight, —and, he who was in charge of them, was Zabdiel, son of Haggedolim.

15 Koa kuom jo-Lawi ne gin: Shemaya wuod Hashub, wuod Azrikam, wuod Hashabia, wuod Buni.

And, of the Levites, Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;

16 Jotend jo-Lawi ariyo ma tijgi en tich ma oko mar od Nyasaye ne gin, Shabethai kod Jozabad.

and Shabbethai and Jozabad, over the outside business of the house of God, of the chiefs of the Levites;

17 Matania wuod Mika, wuod Zabdi, wuod Asaf, notelo ne dwoko erokamano ni Nyasaye kod lamo; gi Bakbukia mane jatelo mar ariyo e kind jotich kaachiel kode; kod Abda wuod Shamua, wuod Galal, wuod Jeduthun.

and Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, leader of the praise who giveth thanks, in prayer, and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, —and Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.

18 Jo-Lawi duto mane nitiere e dala maduongʼ malerno ne romo ji mia ariyo gi piero aboro gangʼwen.

All the Levites in the holy city, were two hundred and eighty-four.

19 Jorit dhorangeye ne gin: Akub, Talmon kod jogo mane gitiyogo kanyakla e tij rito dhorangeye ne gin ji mia achiel gi piero abiriyo gariyo.

And, the door-keepers—Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren who were keeping watch in the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two.

20 Jo-Israel mamoko, kaachiel gi jodolo kod jo-Lawi, ne ni e mier matindo mag Juda, ka moro ka moro odak e lop anywolane.

But, the residue of Israel, the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

21 Jotij hekalu nodak e got mar Ofel, to Ziha kod Gishpa ema ne joritgi.

Howbeit, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —and, Ziha and Gishpa, were over the Nethinim.

22 Jatelo maduongʼ mar jo-Lawi man Jerusalem ne en Uzi wuod Bani, wuod Hashabia, wuod Matania, wuod Mika. Uzi ne en achiel kuom nyikwa Asaf, ma ne gin jower, nikech tich mar od Nyasaye.

And, the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, —of the sons of Asaph the singers, to take lead in the business of the house of God.

23 Jower nenie bwo chik mar ruoth, ma ema ne tijgi mapile.

For, the commandment of the king, was upon them, —as to a fixed provision for the singers, the need of a day upon its day.

24 Pethahia wuod Meshezabel, ma en achiel kuom nyikwa Zera wuod Juda, ne en jaote ruoth e weche duto monego ji ongʼe.

And, Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah, son of Judah, was at the hand of the king, in every matter pertaining to the people.

25 To mier mamoko kod gwenge mane jo-Juda odakie ne gin Kiriath Arba kod gwenge mokiewo kodgi, Dibon kod gwenge mokiewo kodgi, Jekabzil kod mier mokiewo kode,

And, as for the villages in their fields, some of the sons of Judah, dwelt in Kiriath-arba, and the hamlets thereof, and in Dibon, and the hamlets thereof, and in Jekabzeel, and the villages thereof;

26 moko nodak Jeshua, Molada, Beth Pelet,

and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and in Beth-pelet;

27 Hazar Shual, Bersheba kod gwenge mokiewo kode,

and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba, and the hamlets thereof;

28 Ziklag, Mekona kod gwenge mokiewo kode,

and in Ziklag, and in Meconah, and in the hamlets thereof,

29 En Rimon, Zora, Jarmuth,

and in En-rimmmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth;

30 Zanoa, Adulam kod miechgi, Lakish kod puothegi, bende joma moko nodak Azeka kod gwenge mokiewo kode. Omiyo negidak kochakore Bersheba nyaka e Holo mar Hinom.

Zanoah, Adullam and their villages, Lachish, and the fields thereof, Azekah, and the hamlets thereof, —so they encamped from Beer-sheba, unto the valley of Hinnom.

31 Nyikwa Benjamin mane oa Geba nodak Mikmash, Aija, Bethel kod gwenge mokiewo kodgi,

And, the sons of Benjamin, [dwelt] from Geba, to Michmas and Aija, and Bethel, and the hamlets thereof:

32 Anathoth, Nob kod Anania,

Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;

33 Hazor, Rama kod Gitaim,

Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;

34 Hadid, Zeboim kod Nebalat,

Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;

35 Lod gi Ono, kod e Holo mar Jopecho.

Lod and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

36 Jo-Lawi mamoko mane ni Juda nopog mondo odag e piny Benjamin.

Howbeit, of the Levites, certain courses of Judah, pertained unto Benjamin.
