1 Yesu noidho yie mi ongʼado nam nyaka loka komachielo, mi nochopo e dala kama ne onywole.
AND going on board the vessel, he passed over, and came to his own city.
2 Jomoko nokelone ja-athany, konindo e pien. Kane Yesu oneno yie ma jogo ne nigo, nowachone ja-athanyno niya, “Wuoda, bed gi kwe e chunyi, richoni oweni.”
And lo! they brought him a paralytic stretched on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, Be of good cheer, son; thy sins are forgiven thee.
3 Kuom mano jopuonj chik moko nowacho kendgi giwegi niya, “Ngʼatni yanyo Nyasaye!”
And lo! some of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 Kaka Yesu nongʼeyo pachgi, nowachonegi niya, “Angʼo momiyo uyie mondo paro maricho obed e chunyu?
And Jesus, seeing their thoughts, said, wherefore do ye imagine evil things in your hearts?
5 Ere mayot wacho, wacho ni, ‘Richoni oweni,’ koso wacho ni, ‘Aa malo mondo iwuothi?’
For which is the easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 To mondo ungʼe ni Wuod Dhano nigi teko e piny mar weyo richo.” Eka nowachone ja-athanyno niya, “Aa malo kaw pieni mondo idhi dala.”
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority upon earth to forgive sins, (then he saith to the paralytic, ) Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house.
7 Mi ngʼatno noa malo kendo odhi dala.
And he arose, and went to his house.
8 Ka oganda noneno gima notimore, negipongʼ gi luoro; kendo negipako Nyasaye, ma nosechiwo teko machal kamano ne ji.
But when the multitude saw it, they were astonished, and glorified God, who had given such power unto men.
9 Kane oyudo Yesu dhi nyime koa kanyo ne oneno ngʼato ma nyinge Mathayo kobet piny e od jasol osuru. Nowachone niya, “Luwa,” mi Mathayo noa malo kendo noluwe.
And Jesus passing from thence, saw a man sitting at the custom house, called Matthew: and saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
10 Kane oyudo Yesu chiemo e od Mathayo, josol osuru mangʼeny kod joricho mangʼeny nobiro mochiemo kode kaachiel gi jopuonjrene bende.
And it came to pass, as he sat in his house, many tax-gatherers and sinners came, and sat down at table with Jesus and his disciples.
11 Kane jo-Farisai oneno mano, negipenjo jopuonjrene niya, “Angʼo momiyo japuonju chiemo gi josol osuru kod joricho?”
And the Pharisees observing it, said to his disciples, How is this, that your Master eateth with publicans and sinners?
12 Kane Yesu owinjo mano, nowachonegi niya, “Joma ngima ok ema dwar jathieth makmana joma tuo.
But Jesus hearing it, said unto them, They who are in the vigour of health have no need of the physician, but they who have illness.
13 To dhiuru upuonjru tiend wachni, ‘Gima adwaro en ni ukech joweteu, to ok ni uchiwna misango.’Nimar ok ne abiro mondo aluong joma kare, to nabiro mondo aluong joricho.”
Go then, and learn what is said, “I require mercy and not sacrifice:” for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
14 Eka jopuonjre Johana nobiro ire mopenje niya, “Ere kaka wan kod jo-Farisai watweyo chiemo to jopuonjreni to ok twe chiemo?”
Then came unto him disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees keep many fasts, but thy disciples fast not?
15 To Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Ere kaka welo mag wuon kisera nyalo kuyo adier kapod en kodgi? Kata kamano ndalo nobi ma wuon kisera nogol e kindgi; eka ginitwe chiemo e kindeno.
And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber weep, whilst the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.
16 “Onge ngʼama twangʼo rabaw mar law manyien kuom law moti, nimar rabaw mar law manyien-no biro mich mi ywa law machon-no, mi omed yiech moloyo.
But no man ingrafts a patch of undressed cloth into an old garment, for the piece supplied taketh from the garment, and the rent becomes worse.
17 Kamano bende, ji ok nyal olo divai manyien e piende moti mag tingʼo divai. Ka gitimo kamano to piendego biro barore, mi divai pukre oko, kendo piende mag tingʼo divai biro kethore. Ooyo, giolo divai manyien e piende mag tingʼo divai manyien, eka iritogi maber giduto kargi ariyo.”
Nor do they put new wine into old bottles: but if they do, the bottles burst, and the wine is spilt, and the bottles are destroyed: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
18 Kane oyudo owacho wechegi, jatelo moro nobiro mokulore e nyime kawacho niya, “Nyara otho machiegni. To yie ibi iket lweti kuome mondo obed mangima.”
As he was speaking these things to them, behold, there came a ruler, and prostrated himself before him, saying, My daughter hath just now died: but come and lay thine hand upon her, and she shall live.
19 Yesu nowuok kendo nodhi kode, kaachiel gi jopuonjrene bende.
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and his disciples also.
20 To apoya nono, dhako moro mane osebedo ka iye chwer kuom higni apar gariyo nopore gi yo katoke kendo nomulo riak lawe.
And, behold, a woman, who had an haemorrage twelve years, came behind, and touched the fringe of his garment:
21 Notimo kamano nimar nowacho gie chunye niya, “Ka anyalo mulo mana riak lawe kende to abiro chango.”
for she said within herself, If I only touch his garment, I shall be cured.
22 Kane Yesu olokore monene, nowachone niya, “Bed motegno nyara, nikech yieni osechangi.” Kendo dhakono nochango chakre sano.
Then Jesus, turning about and beholding her, said, Be encouraged, daughter; thy faith hath saved thee. And the woman was cured from that hour.
23 Kane Yesu odonjo e od jatelono, moneno joma goyo asili kod oganda mane goyo koko,
And when Jesus was come into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute-players, and a multitude confusedly lamenting,
24 nowacho niya, “Aiuru kae; nimar nyakoni ok otho, onindo aninda.” To gin neginyiere anyiera.
he saith to them, Retire; for the little girl is not dead, but sleeping. And they derided him.
25 Kane oseriemb ogandano oko, nodonjo mi okawo nyakono gi bade, kendo noa malo.
So when the multitude was put out, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the little girl arose.
26 Wach gima notimoreno nolandore e gwengʼno duto.
And the fame of it went forth into all that country.
27 Kane oyudo Yesu medo dhi nyime koa kanyo, muofni ariyo ne luwo bangʼe, ka goyo koko kawacho niya, “Yie ikechwa wuod Daudi!”
And as Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, son of David!
28 Kane osedonjo ei ot, muofni ariyogo nobiro nyaka ire, kendo nopenjogi niya, “Bende uyie ni anyalo timo ma?” Ne giyiene niya, “Ee, wayie Ruoth.”
So when he came into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus said to them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yes, Lord.
29 Eka nomulo wengegi kowacho niya, “Biro timorenu kuom yie ma un-go,”
Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 kendo negichako neno. Yesu nosiemogi matek niya, “Neuru ni ngʼato ok ongʼeyo wachni.”
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus strictly charged them, saying, Take care that no person know it.
31 To gin negidhi mi gikeyo wach kuome e gwengʼno duto.
But they going forth, blazoned his fame through all that country.
32 Ka noyudo giwuok gia, nokelne Yesu ngʼat moro mane nigi jochiende kendo mane ok nyal wuoyo.
And when they were coming out, behold, they brought unto him a man, dumb, a demoniac.
33 To kane oseriembo jachiendno kuome, ngʼat ma ne momo nowuoyo. Oganda nohum mowacho niya, “Gima chalo kama pok ne one e Israel nyaka nene.”
And when the devil was cast out, the dumb man spoke: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, Never at any time was the like to this seen in Israel.
34 To jo-Farisai to nowacho niya, “Ogolo jochiende gi teko mar ruodh jochiende.”
But the Pharisees said, By the prince of the devils doth he cast the devils out.
35 Yesu nodhi kuonde duto, e mier matindo kod gwenge duto, kopuonjo e sinagokegi, koyalo Injili mar pinyruoth, kendo kochango kit midekre gi tuoche duto.
And Jesus took a circuit through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and every malady among the people.
36 Kane oneno oganda maduongʼ mane olwore, nokechogi, nikech ne ichandogi kendo gionge gi kony, mana ka rombe maonge gi jakwath.
And beholding the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were fainting, and lying here and there, as sheep that had no shepherd.
37 Eka nowachone jopuonjrene niya, “Cham ochiek mathoth to jotich nok.
Then said he to his disciples, The harvest indeed is abundant, but the labourers are few;
38 Kuom mano, kwauru Ruodh keyo mondo oor jotich odhi e puothe mar keyo.”
entreat therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth workmen for his harvest.
