< Mathayo 7 >
1 “Kik ungʼad ne ji bura, ka ok kamano to un bende ibiro ngʼadnu bura.
"Judge not, that you may be judged, yourselves;
2 Nimar kaka ungʼado ne ji mamoko bura e kaka ibiro ngʼadnu bura un bende, nimar rapim mupimogo ema ibiro pimnugo un bende.
"for with what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and in what measure you measure, others will measure to you.
3 “Angʼo momiyo ineno ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼ wadu to pilni maduongʼ mar yath manie wangʼi iwuon to ok idew?
"And why do you look at the mote in your brother’s eye, and fail to notice the beam which is in your own eye?
4 Ere kaka diwach ne owadu ni, ‘Yie mondo agolni ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼi,’ ka in to pilni maduongʼ mar yath osiko ngolni e wangʼi iwuon?
"Or how will you say to your brother, ‘Permit me to remove the mote from your eye,’ when, behold, the beam is in your own eye?
5 In ngʼat mawuondoreni, mokwongo gol pilni maduongʼ mar yath manie wangʼi iwuon oko, eka ibiro neno maler mar golo ngʼinjo mar buch yath manie wangʼ wadu oko.
"Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to cast the mote out of your brother’s eye.
6 “Kik umi guogi gima ler; bende kik udir ne anguro kite magu ma nengogi tek. Kutimo kamano to ginyalo nyonogi piny e bwo tiendegi mi gilokre kodu kendo gikidhu matindo tindo.
"Do not give what is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before swine; lest in turn they trample them under their feet, and then turn and attack you.
7 “Kwauru to nomiu; dwaruru to unuyudi; kendo dwongʼuru to noyawnu dhoot.
"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 Nimar ngʼato ka ngʼato mokwayo imiyo; ngʼato madwaro nwangʼo; kendo ngʼama dwongʼo, noyawne dhoot.
"For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks the door is opened.
9 “En ngʼa kuomu ma ka wuode okwayo kuon to omiye kidi?
"What man of you is there who, when his son asks a loaf, will give him a stone?
10 Kata ka okwayo rech to omiye thuol?
"or if his son asks for a fish, will offer him a snake?
11 Ka un ma un joricho kamano, ungʼeyo miyo mich mabeyo ne nyithindu, koro Wuonu manie polo donge nyalo chiwo ne joma okwaye mich mabeyo nyadi mangʼeny!
"If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him?
12 Omiyo, e gik moko duto, timuru ne joweteu gik ma duher mondo gin bende gitimnu, nikech mano e tiend Chik gi Jonabi.
"Therefore everything that you would have men do to you, do you also the same to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Donjuru gi dhorangach madiny. Nimar rangajno oyarore kendo yorno lach madhi e kethruok, kendo ji mathoth donjo koluwe.
"Enter by the narrow gate; for broad is the gate and wide the road that leads to destruction, and many are they who go in by it;
14 To rangajno tin kendo yorno diny matero ji e ngima, kendo mana joma nok kende ema yude.
"but the gate is narrow and the road is steep, which leads to life, and they are few who find it.
15 “Tangʼuru gi jonabi mag miriambo. Gibiro iru ka girwako lep rombe, to gin mana ondiegi mangemo gi eigi.
"Beware of the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but within they are ravening wolves.
16 To kit olemo ma ginyago ema ubiro ngʼeyogigo. Bende ji pono olemb mzabibu e yiend kudho, kata olemb ngʼowu kuom oriangʼ?
"By their fruits you will know them. Are grapes gathered of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Kamano bende e kaka yath maber nyago olemo maber, to yath marach nyago olemo marach.
"No, every good tree bears good fruit, but a worthless tree bears bad fruit.
18 Yath maber ok nyal nyago olemo marach, kendo yath marach ok nyal nyago olemo maber.
"A good tree cannot bear bad fruit; neither can a worthless tree bear good fruit.
19 Yath ka yath ma ok nyag olemo maber itongʼo igoyo piny kendo iwito e mach.
"Every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
20 Omiyo kit olemo ma ginyago ema ubiro ngʼeyogigo.
"Hence it is by their fruit you will know them.
21 “Ji duto ma luonga ni, ‘Ruoth, Ruoth,’ ok nodonji e pinyruodh polo, to mana ngʼama timo dwaro mar Wuora manie polo ema nodonji.
"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Ji mangʼeny nowachna e odiechiengno ni, ‘Ruoth, Ruoth, donge ne wakoro wach e nyingi, kendo e nyingi donge ema ne wariembogo jochiende kendo watimogo honni mangʼeny?’
"Many in that day will say to me, "‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name done many mighty works?’
23 To ananyisgi e wangʼ-gi ni, ‘Akiau nyaka aa chakruok, ayeuru e nyima, un jorichogi!’
"Then I will tell them plainly, "‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of iniquity.’
24 “Emomiyo ngʼato angʼata mawinjo wechenagi kendo otimogi chalo gi ngʼama riek mane ogero ode e lwanda.
"Every one who hears my words and does them I will liken to a wise man who built his house upon the rock.
25 Koth nochwe maduongʼ, aore nopongʼ mogingore, kendo yamo nokudho matek mogoyo odno; to kata kamano ne ok opodho, nikech mise mare ne ni e lwanda.
"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house, but it fell not, for it was founded upon the rock.
26 To ngʼato angʼata mawinjo wechenagi to ok otimgi chalo gi ngʼat mane ogero ode e kwoyo.
"And every one who hears these words of mine and does them not, I will liken to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.
27 Koth nochwe maduongʼ, aore nopongʼ mogingore kendo yamo nokudho matek mogoyo odno, mi norwombore piny gi ruombruok matek.”
"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it."
28 Kane Yesu osetieko wacho gigi, oganda nowuoro puonjne,
Now when Jesus had finished his discourse, the crowds were astounded at his teaching,
29 nikech nopuonjo ka ngʼat man-gi teko, to ok ka jopuonjgi mapile mag chik.
for he was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes taught them.
