< Mathayo 20 >
1 “Nimar pinyruodh polo chalo gi wuon puodho mane owuok gokinyi kogwen, mondo ondik ji mane biro tiyone e puothe mar mzabibu.
“For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who was the master of a household, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers for his vineyard.
2 Nowinjore kodgi ni nobiro chulogi dinari achiel ngʼato ka ngʼato kuom odiechiengʼno, eka noorogi e puothe mar mzabibu.
When he had agreed with the labourers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 “Kar sa adek nowuok oko mi noneno jomoko kochungʼ e chiro ka gibudho abudha.
He went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace.
4 Nowachonegi ni, ‘Un bende dhiuru uti e puotha mar mzabibu, kendo abiro chulou gimoro amora mowinjore.’
He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went their way.
5 Omiyo negidhi. “Nochako owuok oko kar sa auchiel gi sa ochiko kendo notimo kaka notimo mokwongo.
Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 Kar sa apar gachiel bende nowuok oko, kendo nochako oyudo mana ka jomoko pod ochungʼ achungʼa kanyo. Nopenjogi ni, ‘Angʼo momiyo usebedo ka uchungʼ achungʼa ka odiechiengʼ duto maonge gima utim?’”
About the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle. He said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’
7 Negidwoke niya, “‘Nikech onge ngʼama osemiyowa tich nyaka chakre okinyi.’ “Nowachonegi ni, ‘Un bende dhiuru uti e puotha mar mzabibu.’
“They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ “He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and you will receive whatever is right.’
8 “Kane ochopo odhiambo, wuon puoth mzabibu nowachone nyapache ni, ‘Luong jotich mondo ichulgi misachgi, kichako gi joma ne ondiki achien mogik, eka idok ir joma nondiki mokwongo.’
“When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the labourers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’
9 “Jotich mane ondiki kar sa apar gachiel odhiambo nobiro kendo moro ka moro kuomgi noyudo dinari achiel.
“When those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came, they each received a denarius.
10 Omiyo ka joma nondiki mokwongo nobiro, negigeno yudo mangʼeny. To moro ka moro kuomgi bende noyudo mana dinari achiel.
When the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise each received a denarius.
11 Kane giyude, negichako ngʼur gi wuon puodho,
When they received it, they murmured against the master of the household,
12 kagiwacho ni, ‘Joma ne ondiki achien mogikgi osetiyo kuom sa achiel kende, to isemiyo gidoko marom kodwa, wan mwasetingʼo pek tich ka watiyo odiechiengʼ duto gi chiengʼ makech.’
saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’
13 “To nodwoko achiel kuomgi ni, ‘Osiepna, onge gima rach ma asetimoni. Donge ne iyie ni itiyone dinari achiel?
“But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius?
14 Kaw chudoni mondo idhi. An awuon ema ayiero mondo ami ngʼat mane ondiki achien mogik chudo maromre gi mari.
Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
15 Donge an-gi ratiro mar timo gima adwaro gi pesana? Koso nyiego omaki koda nikech angʼwon?’
Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
16 “Kuom mano joma ni chien mogik nobed mokwongo, to joma okwongo nobed chien mogik.”
So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
17 Kane oyudo Yesu dhi Jerusalem, nokawo jopuonjre apar gariyo otero tenge kendo nowachonegi niya,
As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them,
18 “Eri wadhi nyaka Jerusalem, kendo Wuod Dhano ibiro ndhogi mi chiw e lwet jodolo madongo gi jopuonj chik. Gibiro ngʼadone buch tho,
“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,

and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.”
20 Eka min yawuot Zebedi nobiro ir Yesu kaachiel gi yawuote, kendo bangʼ goyo chong-gi piny e nyime, ne gikwaye ni otimnegie ngʼwono.
Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, kneeling and asking a certain thing of him.
21 Yesu nopenjogi niya, “En angʼo mudwaro?” Nowachone niya, “Gol chik mondo moro ka moro kuom yawuota ariyogi obi obed kodi e pinyruodhi, moro e badi korachwich to machielo e badi koracham.”
He said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom.”
22 To Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Ok ungʼeyo gima ukwayo. Bende unyalo madho kikombe ma adhi madhoni?” Negidwoke niya, “Wanyalo.”
But Jesus answered, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with?” They said to him, “We are able.”
23 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Kikombena to en adier ni ubiro methoe, to bedo e bada ma korachwich kata ma koracham ok an ema achiw. Kuondego gin mag joma Wuora ochano negi chon.”
He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with; but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give, but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”
24 Ka jopuonjre apar mamoko nowinjo wachno, to ne gisin gi jowete ariyogo.
When the ten heard it, they were indignant with the two brothers.
25 To Yesu noluongogi duto kaachiel mowachonegi niya, “Ungʼeyo ni jotelo mag joma ok jo-Yahudi rito jogegi gi angʼenge, kendo jotendgi madongo tiyogi githuon,
But Jesus summoned them, and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
26 un to ok un kamano. Kar timo kamano to ngʼato angʼata madwaro bedo maduongʼ e dieru nyaka bedi jatichu,
It shall not be so amongst you; but whoever desires to become great amongst you shall be your servant.
27 kendo ngʼato angʼata madwaro bedo ngʼat mokwongo nyaka bed misumbau,
Whoever desires to be first amongst you shall be your bondservant,
28 mana kaka Wuod Dhano ne ok obiro mondo ji otine, to nobiro mondo otine ji, kendo mondo ochiw ngimane obed gima iwarogo ji mangʼeny.”
even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
29 Kane oyudo Yesu gi jopuonjrene koro wuok Jeriko, oganda maduongʼ noluwe.
As they went out from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30 To muofni ariyo mane oyudo obet e bath yo kane owinjo ni Yesu ne kadho machiegni kanyo, nokok matek niya, “Ruoth, Wuod Daudi, yie ikechwa!”
Behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”

The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
32 Omiyo Yesu nochungʼ kendo noluongogi ire, mopenjogi niya, “Angʼo mudwaro mondo atimnu?”
Jesus stood still and called them, and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
33 Negidwoke niya, “Ruoth, wadwaro ni wanen.”
They told him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”
34 Yesu nokechogi, mi nomulo wengegi. Gikanyono negichako neno, kendo ne giluwe.
Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.
