< Mariko 2 >

1 Bangʼ ndalo manok Yesu nochako odwogo e dala mar Kapernaum, kendo ji nowinjo ni osebiro dala.
And when he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was noised that he was in the house.
2 Kuom mano ji mangʼeny nochokore mopongʼo ot mane entie maonge kama ilwaroe kata mana kede, koda ka dhoot oko, to Yesu nopuonjogi Wach.
And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room [for them], no, not even about the door: and he spake the word unto them.
3 Jomoko nobiro kokelone ja-athany ka ji angʼwen otingʼe.
And they come, bringing unto him a man sick of the palsy, borne of four.
4 To kane ok ginyal chopo ir Yesu nikech oganda maduongʼ mane ni kode, ne gitucho wi tado mochomore gi kama Yesu ne nitie tir mi giloro ja-athanyno konindo e par nyaka nochopo e nyim Yesu.
And when they could not come nigh unto him for the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed whereon the sick of the palsy lay.
5 Kane Yesu oneno yie ma jogo ne nigo, nowachone ja-athanyno niya, “Wuoda, richoni oweni.”
And Jesus seeing their faith saith unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins are forgiven.
6 To jopuonj Chik moko manoyudo obet ei ot kanyo nochako penjore e chunygi ni,
But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 “Ngʼatni wuoyo nade? Oyanyo Nyasaye! Ere ngʼat manyalo weyone ngʼato richone makmana Nyasaye kende?”
Why doth this man thus speak? he blasphemeth: who can forgive sins but one, [even] God?
8 Mana gisano Yesu nongʼeyo e chunye gima negipenjore e chunygi, omiyo nowachonegi niya, “Angʼo momiyo uparo gigi e chunyu?
And straightway Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, saith unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Ere mayot wacho ne ja-athany kuom weche ariyogi, ni ‘richoni oweni,’ koso ni, ‘Aa malo ikaw pieni mondo iwuothi’?
Whether is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 Mondo ungʼe ni Wuod Dhano nigi teko e piny mar weyo richo.” Yesu nowachone ja-athanyno niya,
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (he saith to the sick of the palsy),
11 “Awacho niya, aa malo kaw pieni mondo idhi dala.”
I say unto thee, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.
And he arose, and straightway took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
13 Yesu nochako wuoth kendo koluwo tie Nam to oganda maduongʼ nobiro ire mi opuonjogi.
And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14 Kane oyudo owuotho e dho Nam, noneno Lawi wuod Alfayo kobet piny e od jasol osuru. Yesu nowachone Lawi niya, “Luwa,” mi Lawi noa malo kendo noluwe.
And as he passed by, he saw Levi the [son] of Alphaeus sitting at the place of toll, and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 Kane oyudo Yesu chiemo e od Lawi, josol osuru mangʼeny kod joricho mangʼeny ne chiemo kode kaachiel gi jopuonjrene, nimar jogo mane luwo bangʼe ne ngʼeny.
And it came to pass, that he was sitting at meat in his house, and many publicans and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16 To ka jopuonj Chik ma jo-Farisai nonene kochiemo gi joricho gi josol osuru, negipenjo jopuonjrene niya, “Angʼo momiyo ochiemo gi josol osuru kod joricho?”
And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and publicans, said unto his disciples, He eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners.
17 Kane Yesu owinjo mano nowachonegi niya, “Joma ngima ok ema dwar jathieth makmana joma tuo. Ok ne abiro mondo aluong joma kare, to nabiro mondo aluong joricho.”
And when Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
18 Nochopo kinde ma jopuonjre Johana kod jo-Farisai tweyo chiemo. Jomoko nobiro mopenjo Yesu: “Ere kaka Jopuonjre mag Johana kod jopuonjre mag jo-Farisai jotweyo chiemo to jopuonjreni to chiemo achiema?”
And John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting: and they come and say unto him, Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19 To Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Ere kaka welo mag wuon kisera ditwe chiemo adier ka pod en kodgi?” Chutho, ok ginyal tweyo chiemo kapod gin kode.
And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20 To ndalo biro ma wuon kisera nogol e kindgi, kendo ndalono ema ginitwe chiemo.
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast in that day.
21 “Onge ngʼama twangʼo rabaw mar law manyien kuom law moti. Ka otimo kamano to rabaw mar law manyien-no biro mich mi ywa law machon-no mi omed yiech moloyo.
No man seweth a piece of undressed cloth on an old garment: else that which should fill it up taketh from it, the new from the old, and a worse rent is made.
22 Bende onge ngʼama olo divai manyien e piende moti mag tingʼo divai. Ka otimo kamano to divai manyien-no nyalo yiecho piend divaino mi divai pukre kendo piend divai kethre. Ooyo, divai manyien nyaka ol mana e piende manyien mag tingʼo divai.”
And no man putteth new wine into old wineskins: else the wine will burst the skins, and the wine perisheth, and the skins: but [they put] new wine into fresh wineskins.
23 Chiengʼ Sabato moro Yesu noyudo kadho e kind puothe mag ngano mochiek, kendo jopuonjrene nochako jako wi ngano moko mochiek mondo gicham.
And it came to pass, that he was going on the sabbath day through the cornfields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
24 To jo-Farisai nochako ngʼur kagiwachone Yesu niya, “Neye, angʼo momiyo jopuonjreni timo gima chik ok oyiego chiengʼ Sabato?”
And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
25 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Pok ne usomo gima Daudi notimo ka kech kaye kaachiel gi joma ne ni kode ka kech ne kayogi kendo ne gionge gi gima digicham?
And he said unto them, Did ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
26 E kinde mag Abiathar jadolo maduongʼ, donge nodonjo e od Nyasaye mi ochamo makati ma nosepwodhi moket tenge ma chik ok oyiene ngʼato angʼata mondo ocham, makmana jodolo. Kendo nochiwo moko ne jogo mane ni kode.”
How he entered into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests, and gave also to them that were with him?
27 Yesu nodhi nyime mowachonegi niya, “Sabato noketi nikech dhano, to dhano ne ok ochwe nikech Sabato.
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Omiyo Wuod Dhano en Ruodh Sabato bende.”
so that the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath.
