Mariko 10
1 Yesu noa kanyo modhi e gwengʼ mar Judea man loka aora Jordan. Oganda maduongʼ nochako obiro ire, kendo nopuonjogi kaka nojatimo kinde duto.
And he arose from thence, and went into the coastes of Iudea by the farre side of Iordan, and the people resorted vnto him againe, and as he was wont, he taught them againe.
2 Jo-Farisai moko nobiro moteme kapenje niya, “Bende chik oyie mondo ngʼato oketh keny gi chiege?”
Then the Pharises came and asked him, if it were lawfull for a man to put away his wife, and tempted him.
3 Nodwokogi niya, “Angʼo mane Musa ochikou mondo utim?”
And he answered, and sayde vnto them, What did Moses commaund you?
4 Negiwacho niya, “Musa noyie mondo dichwo ondik barup weruok mar ketho keny eka oriembe.”
And they sayd, Moses suffered to write a bill of diuorcement, and to put her away.
5 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Musa nondikonu chikni nikech chunyu matek.
Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, For the hardnesse of your heart he wrote this precept vnto you.
6 To chakre chwech piny, Nyasaye nochweyogi dichwo gi dhako.
But at the beginning of the creation God made them male and female:
7 ‘Kuom mano, dichwo nowe wuon kod min kendo nopadre gi chiege,
For this cause shall man leaue his father and mother, and cleaue vnto his wife.
8 mi ji ariyogo nobed ringruok achiel.’ Omiyo koro ok gin ji ariyo, to gin ringruok achiel.
And they twaine shalbe one flesh: so that they are no more twaine, but one flesh.
9 Kuom mano, gima Nyasaye oseriwo kaachiel kik dhano moro amora pogi.”
Therefore, what God hath coupled together, let not man separate.
10 Kane gidok e ot kendo, jopuonjre Yesu nopenje kuom wachni.
And in the house his disciples asked him againe of that matter.
11 To Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Ngʼato angʼata mowere gi chiege mokendo dhako machielo odonjo e richo mar terruok nikech chiege moriembono.
And he sayd vnto them, Whosoeuer shall put away his wife and marrie another, committeth adulterie against her.
12 To kata dhako ema owere gi chwore mokendore gi dichwo machielo to odonjo e richo mar terruok.”
And if a woman put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adulterie.
13 Ji ne kelo nyithindo matindo ir Yesu mondo ogwedhgi, to jopuonjre nokwerogi.
Then they brought litle children to him, that he should touch them, and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 Kane Yesu oneno gima jopuonjrene timo, nokecho kodgi, mi owachonegi niya, “Weuru nyithindo matindo obi ira kendo kik utamgi, nikech pinyruoth Nyasaye en mar ji machal ka magi.
But when Iesus sawe it, he was displeased, and said to them, Suffer the litle children to come vnto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God.
15 Awachonu adier ni ngʼato ma ok orwako pinyruoth Nyasaye kaka nyathi matin ok nodonji ngangʼ.”
Verely I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall not receiue the kingdome of God as a litle childe, he shall not enter therein.
16 Nokawo nyithindogo motingʼo e bade, eka noketo lwete kuomgi, mi ogwedhogi.
And he tooke them vp in his armes, and put his hands vpon them, and blessed them.
17 Kane Yesu ochako wuoth dhi, ngʼat moro noringo obiro ire mogoyo chonge piny e nyime. Ngʼatni noloso kode kapenje niya, “Japuonj maber, en angʼo monego atim mondo eka ayud ngima mochwere kaka girkeni mara?” (aiōnios g166)
And when hee was gone out on the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I doe, that I may possesse eternall life? (aiōnios g166)
18 Yesu nodwoke kapenje niya, “Angʼo momiyo iluonga ni ngʼama ber? Onge ngʼama ber makmana Nyasaye kende.
Iesus sayde to him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, euen God.
19 Ingʼeyo chike mawacho ni: ‘Kik ineki, kik iterri, kik ikwal, kik ihang wach, kik imechi, luor wuonu gi minu.’”
Thou knowest the comandements, Thou shalt not commit adulterie. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steale. Thou shalt not beare false witnesse. Thou shalt hurt no man. Honour thy father and mother.
20 Nodwoke niya, “Japuonj, magi duto aserito nyaka aa tin-na.”
Then he answered, and said to him, Master, all these things I haue obserued from my youth.
21 Yesu nongʼiyo wuowino mohere, eka owachone niya, “Gimoro achiel ema iremo. Wuogi idhi ilok mwanduni duto ma in-go pesa mondo ipog joma odhier, eka inibed gi mwandu mokan e polo. Bangʼ timo kamano to bi mondo iluwa.”
And Iesus looked vpon him, and loued him, and sayde vnto him, One thing is lacking vnto thee. Go and sell all that thou hast, and giue to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, follow me, and take vp the crosse.
22 Ka ngʼatno nowinjo wachno, nomieno wangʼe, moa kanyo ka chunye lit, nikech ne en-gi mwandu mathoth ahinya.
But hee was sad at that saying, and went away sorowfull: for he had great possessions.
23 To Yesu nongʼicho koni gi koni, eka owacho ni jopuonjrene niya, “Mano kaka en gima tek mondo ja-mwandu odonji e pinyruoth Nyasaye!”
And Iesus looked round about, and sayd vnto his disciples, Howe hardly doe they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God!
24 Jopuonjrene nowuoro wechegego. To Yesu nomedo wuoyo kodgi kawacho niya, “Nyithindo, mano kaka en gima tek mondo ngʼato odonji e pinyruoth Nyasaye!
And his disciples were afraide at his words. But Iesus answered againe, and sayd vnto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches, to enter into the kingdome of God!
25 Yot mondo ngamia okadhi e wangʼ sandan moloyo jamoko donjo e pinyruoth Nyasaye.”
It is easier for a camel to goe through the eye of a needle, then for a riche man to enter into the kingdome of God.
26 Jopuonjrene nomedo wuoro mi giwacho kendgi niya, “Kare en ngʼa manyalo kwo?”
And they were much more astonied, saying with themselues, Who then can be saued?
27 To Yesu nongʼiyogi tir mi owachonegi niya, “Mano en gima ok nyalre kuom dhano, to ok kuom Nyasaye, nimar kuom Nyasaye to gik moko duto nyalore.”
But Iesus looked vpon them, and sayd, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28 Petro nowachone niya, “Wan waseweyo gik moko duto mondo waluwi.”
Then Peter began to say vnto him, Loe, we haue forsaken all, and haue folowed thee.
29 To Yesu nodwoke kawacho niya, “Awachonu adier ni onge ngʼato moseweyo dalane, kata owetene, kata nyiminene, kata min-gi, kata wuon-gi, kata nyithinde, kata puothene, nikech An kendo nikech Injili,
Iesus answered, and sayd, Verely I say vnto you, there is no man that hath forsaken house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake and the Gospels,
31 To ji mangʼeny masani okwongo nobed chien mogik, kendo joma sani ni chien mogik, nobed mokwongo.”
But many that are first, shall be last, and the last, first.

And they were in the way going vp to Hierusalem, and Iesus went before them and they were troubled, and as they followed, they were afraide, and Iesus tooke the twelue againe, and began to tell them what things should come vnto him,
33 Nowachonegi niya, “Eri wadhi nyaka Jerusalem, kendo Wuod Dhano ibiro ndhogi mi chiw e lwet jodolo madongo gi jopuonj chik. Gibiro ngʼadone buch tho mi gichiwe ne joma ok jo-Yahudi,
Saying, Beholde, we goe vp to Hierusalem, and the Sonne of man shall be deliuered vnto the hie Priests, and to the Scribes, and they shall condemne him to death, and shall deliuer him to the Gentiles.
34 mondo ojare, mi ngʼudh olawo kuome kendo chwade mi nyaka ginege. To bangʼ ndalo adek obiro chier.”
And they shall mocke him, and scourge him, and spit vpon him, and kill him: but the third day he shall rise againe.
35 Bangʼe Jakobo gi Johana, mane gin yawuot Zebedi, nobiro ire mowachone niya, “Japuonj, wadwaro mondo itimnwa gimoro amora mwakwayi.”
Then Iames and Iohn the sonnes of Zebedeus came vnto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest doe for vs that we desire.
36 Yesu nopenjogi niya, “Udwaro ni atimnu angʼo?”
And he sayd vnto them, What would ye I should doe for you?
37 Negidwoke niya, “Yie mondo kidwogo e duongʼni maler to iket achiel kuomwa obed e badi korachwich to machielo e badi koracham.”
And they said to him, Graunt vnto vs, that we may sit, one at thy right hand, and the other at thy left hand in thy glory.
38 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Ok ungʼeyo gima ukwayo. Bende unyalo madho kikombe ma amadho kata yudo batiso machal gi mitisago?”
But Iesus sayd vnto them, Ye knowe not what ye aske. Can ye drinke of the cup that I shall drinke of, and be baptized with the baptisme that I shall be baptized with?
39 Negidwoke niya, “Wanyalo.” Yesu nowachonegi niya, “En adier ni ubiro metho e kikombe ma amethoe mi obatisu gi batiso mitisago,
And they said vnto him, We can. But Iesus sayd vnto them, Ye shall drinke in deede of the cup that I shall drinke of, and be baptized with the baptisme wherewith I shalbe baptized:
40 to bedo e bada ma korachwich kata ma koracham ok an ema achiw. Kuondego gin mag jogo mane oiknegi chon.”
But to sit at my right hand, and at my left, is not mine to giue, but it shalbe giuen to them for whome it is prepared.
41 Kane jopuonjre apar mamoko nowinjo wachno, ne gisin gi Jakobo gi Johana.
And when the ten heard that, they began to disdaine at Iames and Iohn.
42 To Yesu noluongogi duto kaachiel mowachonegi niya, “Ungʼeyo ni joma ikwano kaka jotelo e kind joma ok jo-Yahudi rito jogegi gi angʼenge, kendo jotendgi madongo tiyogi githuon.
But Iesus called them vnto him, and sayd to them, Ye know that they which are princes among the Gentiles, haue domination ouer them, and they that be great among them, exercise authoritie ouer them.
43 Un to ok un kamano. Kar timo kamano, to ngʼato angʼata madwaro bedo maduongʼ e dieru nyaka bedi jatichu,
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoeuer will be great among you, shall be your seruant.
44 kendo ngʼato angʼata madwaro bedo ngʼat mokwongo nyaka bed misumba ji duto.
And whosoeuer will be chiefe of you, shall be the seruant of all.
45 Nikech kata mana Wuod Dhano ne ok obiro mondo ji otine, to nobiro mondo otine ji kendo mondo ochiw ngimane obed gima iwarogo ji mangʼeny.”
For euen the Sonne of man came not to be serued, but to serue, and to giue his life for the raunsome of many.
46 Bangʼe negibiro Jeriko, to kane oyudo Yesu gi jopuonjrene kaachiel gi oganda maduongʼ aa e dalano, muofu moro miluongo ni Bartimayo (tiende ni “wuod Timayo”) nobet e bath yo ka okwecho.
Then they came to Iericho: and as he went out of Iericho with his disciples, and a great multitude, Bartimeus the sonne of Timeus, a blinde man, sate by the wayes side, begging.
47 Kane owinjo ni en Yesu ja-Nazareth, nochako kok niya, “Yesu, Wuod Daudi, yie ikecha!”
And when hee heard that it was Iesus of Nazareth, he began to crye, and to say, Iesus the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercy on me.
48 Thoth ji mane ni kanyo nokwere kendo nowachone ni olingʼ thi, to nomedo goyo koko niya, “Wuod Daudi, yie ikecha!”
And many rebuked him, because he should holde his peace: but hee cryed much more, O Sonne of Dauid, haue mercy on me.
49 Yesu nochungʼ mowacho niya, “Luongeuru obi ira ka.” Omiyo negiluongo muofuno ka gikone niya, “Bed gichir! Aa malo! Oluongi.”
Then Iesus stood still, and commanded him to be called: and they called the blind, saying vnto him, Be of good comfort: arise, he calleth thee.
50 Ngʼatno nodiro suka mane oumorego kucha, mi ochikore ochungʼ gi tiende modhi ir Yesu.
So he threwe away his cloke, and rose, and came to Iesus.
51 Yesu nopenjo ngʼatno niya, “Angʼo midwaro mondo atimni?” To muofuno nodwoke niya, “Japuonj, adwaro ni mondo anen.”
And Iesus answered, and said vnto him, What wilt thou that I doe vnto thee? And the blinde sayd vnto him, Lord, that I may receiue sight.
52 Eka Yesu nowachone niya, “Dhiyo, yie mari osechangi. Gikanyono ngʼatno nochako neno, kendo noluwo bangʼ Yesu kowuotho e yo.”
Then Iesus sayde vnto him, Goe thy way: thy fayth hath saued thee. And by and by, he receiued his sight, and folowed Iesus in the way.
