< Malaki 3 >

1 “Neuru, abiro oro jaotena mabiro losona yo kapok abiro. Bangʼe, apoya nono Ruoth mudwarono nobi e hekalune; jaote mar singruok, ma ugombo, nobi,” Jehova Nyasaye Maratego owacho.
Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts.
2 To en ngʼa manyalo siro chiengʼ biro mare? Koso en ngʼa manyalo chungʼ e nyime ka othinyore? Nimar enobed kaka mach mar jatheth kata sabund jaluoko malwoko maler.
But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
3 Nobed piny kaka jachung kendo japwodh fedha; nopwodh jo-Lawi kendo nochung-gi mana ka dhahabu gi fedha. Bangʼe Jehova Nyasaye nobedi gi joma kare manokelne chiwo,
and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver; and they shall offer unto the LORD offerings in righteousness.
4 kendo Jehova Nyasaye norwak chiwo mag Juda kod Jerusalem mana kaka ndalo mokadho.
Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in ancient years.
5 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho niya, “Omiyo abiro sudo machiegni kodu mondo angʼadnu bura, anabi mapiyo mondo abed janeno ka kwedo ajuoke, jochode kod jogo makwongʼore kariambo, joma mayo jotijegi e yor chudo, jogo matimo marach ne mon ma chwogi otho kod nyithind kiye, kod jogo matamo jodak e adiera margi, nikech ok giluora.”
And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers; and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
6 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho niya, “An Jehova Nyasaye ok alokra ngangʼ. Omiyo un, yaye nyikwa Jakobo, ok osetieku.
For I the LORD change not; therefore ye, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
7 Nyaka chakre ndalo kwereu uselokoru uweyo yorega, kendo pok uritogi. Dwoguru ira to anaduog iru.” “To upenjo ni, ‘Ere kaka dwaduog iri?’
From the days of your fathers ye have turned aside from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye say, Wherein shall we return?
8 “Bende dhano nyalo mayo Nyasaye? To kata kamano, umaya. “Umedo penjo ni, ‘Kare ere kaka wamayi?’ “Umaya kuom chiwo mar achiel kuom apar kod chiwo mamoko.
Will a man rob God? yet ye rob me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Okwongʼ, ogandau duto, nikech umaya.”
Ye are cursed with the curse; for ye rob me, even this whole nation.
10 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho niya, “Keluru achiel kuom apar duto e od keno, mondo chiemo obed e oda. Tema uruane mondo une-ane ka donge dayawnu dirise mag dhorangeye polo mi aolnu gweth mogundho ma ok unyal yudo thuolo kama dukanie.
Bring ye the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough [to receive it].
11 Anagengʼ kute ma ok noketh chambu, kendo mzabibu manie puotheu olembgi ok notow mi lwar kapok ochiek,” Jehova Nyasaye Maratego owacho.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 “Eka ogendini duto noluongu ni joma ogwedhi nikech pinyu nobed piny maber,” Jehova Nyasaye Maratego owacho.
And all nations shall call you happy: for ye shall he a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
13 Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Usewuoyo marach kuoma. “To upenjo ni, ‘En angʼo ma wasewacho kuomi?’
Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein have we spoken against thee?
14 “Usewacho kama, ‘Tiyone Nyasaye onge tiende. En ohala mane ma wayudo kuom timo dwache kendo kuom wuotho ka waywagore e nyim Jehova Nyasaye Maratego?
Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his charge, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 To waneno ni joma timbegi richo ema igwedho. Chutho joma timbegi richo dhi maber kendo kata gikwedo Nyasaye to gitony.’”
And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are built up; yea, they tempt God, and are delivered.
16 Eka joma ne oluoro Nyasaye nowuoyo e kindgi giwegi, kendo Jehova Nyasaye nochiko ite mowinjogi. Nying joma oluoro Jehova Nyasaye kendo mamiyo nyinge duongʼ nondiki e kitabu moro e nyime.
Then they that feared the LORD spake one with another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho niya, “Ginibed joga, odiechiengʼno kendo anaketgi kaka mwanduna mageno. Anakechgi mana kaka ngʼato kecho wuode matiyone.
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in the day that I do make, [even] a peculiar treasure; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Kendo unuchak une pogruok mane kind joma kare kod joma timbegi richo, kendo e kind joma tiyone Nyasaye gi joma ok tine.”
Then shall ye return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
