< Luka 13 >

1 E kindeno ne nitie jomoko mane onyiso Yesu wach jo-Galili ma Pilato ne oriwo rembgi kod misengini.
NOW there were some present at that time who informed him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Yesu nodwoko niya, “Uparo ni jo-Galili-gi ne joricho moloyo jo-Galili mamoko nikech negisandore kamano?
And Jesus in reply said to them, Think ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?
3 Awachonu ni ooyo! To ka ok ulokoru uweyo richou, un duto unutho kamano.
I tell you, No: for except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Kata ji apar gaboro ka manotho kane ohinga man Siloam nopodho kuomgi, uparo ni ne gin joketho moloyo ji mamoko duto madak e Jerusalem?
Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were debtors to divine justice above all the men who dwell at Jerusalem?
5 Awachonu ni ooyo! To ka ok ulokoru uweyo richou un bende ubiro mana tho.”
I tell you, No: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 Eka nogoyo ngero kowacho niya, “Ngʼat moro ne nigi yadh ngʼowu mopidho e puothe, to nodhi mondo omany olemo kuome, to ok noyudo mora amora.
Then he spake this parable: A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard; and he came, expecting fruit on it, and found none.
7 Omiyo nowacho ni ngʼat mane rito puodho ni, ‘Kuom higni adek asebedo kabiro kae ka dwaro olemo e ngʼowuni to ok aseyudo moro amora. Ngʼole igoye piny. Ere gima dimi ocham lowo?’
Then said he to the vine-dresser, Lo! for three years have I come, expecting fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it render the ground thus useless?
8 “Ngʼatno nodwoke ni, ‘Jaduongʼ, yie iweye higani kende bangʼe to abiro pure kendo medo ketone owuoyo.
He answering said to him, Sir, let it e’en remain this year, until that I dig around it, and spread some manure:
9 Ka onyago olemo higa mabiro, mano ber, to, ka ok onyago, to nongʼole oko.’”
perhaps it may then produce fruit: but if it does not, afterwards thou shalt cut it down.
10 Chiengʼ Sabato moro Yesu ne puonjo e achiel kuom sinagoke,
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues, on the sabbath.
11 to dhako moro ne ni kanyo mane jachien osemiyo obedo mongʼol kuom higni apar gaboro. Tuono nomiyo odolore ma ok nonyal riere tir kata matin.
And, behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and unable to raise herself at all up.
12 Kane Yesu onene, noluonge mondo obi kendo nowachone niya, “Dhako ogonyi ibed thuolo ichangi e midekreni.”
But when Jesus saw her, he called out aloud, and said to her, Woman, thou art delivered from thine infirmity.
13 Eka noketo lwetene kuome, to gikanyono noriere tir kendo nopako Nyasaye.
And he laid his hands upon her: and instantly she became erect, and glorified God.
14 Jaduongʼ sinagogi, mirima nomako nikech Yesu nochango dhakono chiengʼ Sabato, nowacho ni ji niya, “Nitie ndalo auchiel mitiyoe. Omiyo biuru mondo ochangu e ndalogo, to ok chiengʼ Sabato.”
Then the ruler of the synagogue, indignant, that on the sabbath Jesus had performed the cure, addressing himself to the multitude, said, There are six days in which work is to be done: on these therefore come and be cured, and not on the sabbath-day.
15 Ruoth nodwoke niya, “Un joma wuondore! Donge ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu gonyo rwadhe kata pundane e dipo kotere oko mondo omiye pi chiengʼ Sabato?
Then the Lord answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not every one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and lead him to water?
16 Koro dhakoni, ma nyakwar Ibrahim, ma Satan oseketo kotweyo higni apar gaborogi duto kama donge ber kogonye obed thuolo chiengʼ Sabato oa e gima notweye?”
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?
17 Kane owacho mani, jogo duto mane kwede wigi nokuot. To ji mamoko nomor kod gik moko duto miwuoro mane otimo.
And when he had made this speech, all his opposers were covered with shame: and all the multitude rejoiced in all the glorious things which were done by him.
18 Eka Yesu nopenjo niya, “Pinyruoth Nyasaye chalo nade? Angʼo ma dapimego?
Then said he, To what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I compare it?
19 Ochal gi koth karadali, ma ngʼato nokawo mopidho e puothe. Kodhino nodongo mobedo yien, to winy mafuyo e kor polo nopiyo e bedene.”
It is like a grain of mustard, which a man took and put into his garden; and it grew, and became a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged on its branches.
20 Nopenjo kendo niya, “Angʼo ma dapimgo pinyruoth Nyasaye?
And again he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 Ochalo thowi mane dhako moro okawo kendo oruwo ei mogo mangʼeny, mi bangʼe okuodo mogono.”
It is like leaven, which a woman taking, covered up in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 Eka Yesu nodhi e mier kod gwenge kopuonjo ji ka odhiyo Jerusalem.
And he passed through the cities and villages, teaching, and making his way towards Jerusalem.
23 Ngʼato moro nopenjo niya, “Ruoth, en mana ji manok ema biro kwo?” Nowachonigi niya,
And a person said to him, Lord, are the saved few? And he said unto them,
24 “Temuru matek mondo udonj e dhoot madiny, nikech awachonu ni, ji mangʼeny biro temo mondo odonj to ok gibi nyalo ngangʼ.
Exert all your powers to enter through the strait gate: for many, I tell you, will seek to enter, but will not be able.
When the master of the family shall have arisen, and shut the door, and ye shall begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Master, master, open it for us! and he answering will tell you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 “Eka ubiro wacho ni, ‘Ne wachiemo kendo metho kodi, bende ne ipuonjoe yorewa mag dala.’
then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 “To obiro dwoko ni, ‘Ok angʼeyou, kata kuma uae akia. Ayiuru kuoma un jorichogi!’
And he will say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 “Ywagruok biro bedo kanyono, kod mwodo lak, ka uneno Ibrahim, Isaka gi Jakobo gi jonabi duto manie pinyruoth Nyasaye to un uwegi nowitu oko.
There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom, and yourselves cast out.
29 Ji biro biro koa yo wuok chiengʼ gi yo podho chiengʼ, gi yo nyandwat kod yo milambo, kendo ginibed keregi e kar nyasi mar chiemo manobed e pinyruoth Nyasaye.
And they shall come from the east, and west, and from north, and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 Adiera chutho nitie joma ni chien mogik ma nobed mokwongo, to joma okwongo nobed chien mogik.”
And, behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.
31 E kindeno jo-Farisai moko nobiro ir Yesu kendo nowachone niya, “Ai ka kendo dhiyo kamachielo nikech Herode dwaro negi.”
The same day came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Depart, and begone from hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 Nodwoko ni, “Dhiuru uwach ne kibweno niya, ‘Abiro golo jochiende kendo chango ji kawuononi gi kiny, to chiengʼ mar adek abiro chopo dwarona.’
And he said to them, Go tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and perform cures today and to-morrow, and on the third day I shall be perfected.
33 To kata kamano nyaka adhi nyime kawuononi, gi kiny kod orucha nikech adiera, onge janabi manyalo tho oko mar Jerusalem!
But I must go on to-day and to-morrow, and the day following: for it is impossible that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 “Yaye, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, in ma inego jonabi kendo ichielo joma oorni gi kite! Mano kaka asegombo amingʼa mondo achok nyithindi kaachiel, kaka gweno choko nyithinde e bwo bwombene, to ok useyie.
O Jerusalem! Jerusalem! thou that killest the prophets, and stonest those who are sent unto thee; how often would I have collected thy children unto me, just as a hen gathereth her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 To koro, ne odi oweni kodongʼ gunda. Awachoni ni, ok ininena kendo nyaka chop chiengʼ ma iniwach ni, ‘Ogwedh ngʼat mabiro e nying Jehova Nyasaye.’”
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: verily I say unto you, That ye shall see me no more, till the day come when ye shall say, Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord.
