< Ywagruok 5 >

1 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, parie gima osetimorenwa; rangwa mondo ineye wichkuot ma wan-go.
Remember, O Jehovah, what is come upon us! Look down and behold our reproach!
2 Girkeni mawa osemi jopinje mamoko, to miechwa to osekaw gi ji ma welo.
Our inheritance is fallen to strangers, Our houses to aliens.
3 Wasedongʼ kiye, to minewa chalo mon ma chwogi otho.
We are orphans; we are without a father; Our mothers are as widows.
4 Nyaka wangʼiew pi mawamodho; yiendwa ma wachwako nyaka wachul nengo eka wayudgi.
Our water we drink for money; Our wood is sold to us.
5 Jogo malawowa nikodwa machiegni; waol kendo waonge yweyo.
With the yoke upon our necks, we are driven; We are wearied, and have no rest.
6 Ne wachiwore ni Misri kod Asuria mondo wayud chiemo moromo.
We have given the hand to the Egyptians, And to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
7 Kwerewa notimo richo, to koro gionge, to wan ema ikumowa kargi.
Our fathers sinned; they are no more, And we bear their iniquities.
8 Wasumbini ema tinde otelonwa, kendo onge ngʼama resowa e lwetgi.
Servants rule over us; There is none that delivereth out of their hand.
9 Wayudo chiembwa e yo matek manyalo hinyo ngimawa nikech lweny manie thim.
With the peril of our lives we get our bread, Because of the sword of the wilderness.
10 Dendwa owre mana ka mach nikech tuo ma kech kelonwa.
Our skin is parched like an oven Because of the burnings of hunger.
11 Mon osemak githuon e Sayun, to nyiri e miech Juda.
Matrons in Zion have they ravished, And maidens in the cities of Judah.
12 Jodong gwengʼ oselier gi lwetegi e yien, to jomadongo ok osemi luor.
Princes were hanged up by their hand; The faces of the elders were not honored.
13 Jomatindo tiyo matek kuonde mag rego, to yawuowi chandore ka gitingʼo yien mapek.
Young men carried millstones, And boys fell under burdens of wood.
14 Jodongo onge e dhoranga dala maduongʼ; kendo jomatindo oseweyo wero wendegi.
The elders sit no more at the gate; The young men have ceased from their music.
15 Mor oserumo e chunywa; miendwa oselokore ywak.
The joy of our heart is at an end; Our dancing is turned into mourning.
16 Osimbo mar duongʼ oselwar oa e wiwa. Yaye, masira omakowa, nikech wasetimo richo.
The crown is fallen from our head; Woe unto us, that we have sinned!
17 Nikech gik ma osetimorenwagi, chunywa ool kendo wengewa osejony,
For this is our heart faint, For these things our eyes are dim;
18 nimar got Sayun, osejwangʼ modongʼ gunda ma ondiegi ema kwayoe.
On account of mount Zion, which is desolate; Foxes roam over it.
19 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, lochni osiko manyaka chiengʼ kendo ochwere e tiengʼ ka tiengʼ.
But thou, O Jehovah, sittest as king forever; Thy throne endureth from generation to generation.
20 Ere gima omiyo wiyi wil kodwa kinde duto? Ere gima omiyo ijwangʼowa kuom kinde malach kamano?
Wherefore dost thou wholly forget us, And abandon us, for so long a time?
21 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, dwogwa iri; kendo ndalowa obed manyien kaka ne wan chon.
Turn us again to thee, O Jehovah, that we may be restored! Renew our days as of old!
22 Ka ok itimonwa kamano, to nyiso ni isedagiwa kendo in gi mirima kodwa ma ok nyal pim.
For shouldst thou utterly reject us? Shouldst thou be so exceedingly wroth against us?
