< Johana 8 >

1 Yesu nodhi e Got Zeituni.
And Jesus went to the mount of Olives.
2 Kinyne gokinyi nochak odok e hekalu, kama ji duto nochokore kolwore, kendo nobet piny mopuonjogi.
And in the morning he came again to the temple; and all the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.
3 Jopuonj Chik kod jo-Farisai nokelo dhako moro mane onwangʼ ka terore. Negikete ochungʼ e nyim joma ne ni kanyo duto,
And the Scribes and Pharisees brought forward a woman that was caught in adultery. And when they had placed her in the midst,
4 bangʼe negiwachone Yesu niya, “Japuonj, dhakoni nende omaki rando ka terore.
they say to him: Teacher, this woman was caught openly in the act of adultery.
5 Musa to nomiyowa chik mondo wachiel mon ma kamago gi kite. In to iwacho angʼo kuom wachni?”
And in the law of Moses, God hath commanded us to stone such persons. What therefore dost thou say?
6 Negiketo wachno e nyim Yesu mondo gigajego kendo giyud yo mane ginyalo donjonego. Yesu to nokulore piny kendo nochako ndiko e lowo gi lith lwete.
And this they said, tempting him, so that they might have ground to accuse him. But Jesus having stooped down, was writing on the ground.
7 Kane gimedo dhi nyime gipenje, noa malo mowachonegi niya, “Ngʼato kuomu mapok otimo richo ema okuong goye gi kidi.”
And as they continued asking him, he straightened himself up, and said to them: Whoever among you is without sin, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 Eka nochako okulore piny mondiko e lowo.
And, having again stooped down, he wrote on the ground.
9 Gikanyono, joma nowinjo gima nowachono nochako wuok achiel kaachiel, chakre jomadongo nyaka nyithindo mi dhakono ema nodongʼ kende kochungʼ but Yesu.
And they, when they heard it, went out one by one, beginning with the older; and the woman was left, alone where she had stood in the midst.
10 Yesu noa malo kendo nopenje niya, “Nyarwa, eregi? Onge ngʼama odongʼ ma pod donjoni?”
And when Jesus had straightened himself up, he said to the woman: Where are they? Doth no one condemn thee?
11 Nowacho niya, “Jaduongʼ, onge ngʼat modongʼ.” Yesu nokone niya, “Kata an bende ok angʼadni bura. Wuogi idhi, to kik ichak itim richo kendo.”]
And she said: No man, Lord. And Jesus said: Neither do I condemn thee. Go thou, and henceforth sin no more.
12 Yesu nochako owuoyo kodgi, kowacho niya, “An e ler mar piny, ngʼato angʼata ma luwa ok nyal wuotho e mudho, to enobed gi ler mar ngima.”
And Jesus again conversed with them, and said: I am the light of the world: he that cometh to me, will not walk in darkness; but will find for himself the light of life.
13 Omiyo jo-Farisai nokwede kagiwacho niya, “Itimo mana nendi iwuon, omiyo ok wanyal yie ni gik miwacho gin adier.”
The Pharisees said to him: Thou bearest witness of thyself, thy testimony is not certain.
14 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Kata obedo ni atimo nenda awuon to nenda pod en mana adier nimar angʼeyo kuma ne aaye gi kuma adhiye. Un to ukia kuma aaye kata kuma adhiye.
Jesus answered and said to them: Although I bear witness of myself, my testimony is certain, because I know whence I came, and whither I go. But ye do not know, whence I came, and whither I go.
15 Ungʼado bura gi rieko mar dhano, an to ok angʼad bura ni ngʼato.
Ye judge according to the flesh: I judge no one.
16 To ka angʼado bura to paro ma angʼadogo bura nikare nikech ok atime kenda, to atime gi paro mar Wuoro mane oora.
Yet if I Judge, my judgment is certain, because I am not alone, but I and my Father who sent me.
17 Ondiki e chiku ni nend ji ariyo nyalo bedo adiera mi yiego.
And in your law it is written, that the testimony of two persons is certain.
18 An atimo nenda awuon, to ngʼama chielo matimo nenda en Wuoro mane oora.”
I am one: who bear witness of myself, and my Father who sent me, beareth witness of me.
19 Eka negipenje niya, “Wuonuno nikanye?” Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Ukiaya kendo Wuora bende ukia. Ka dine bed ni ungʼeya, to Wuora bende dine ungʼeyo.”
They say to him: Where is thy Father? Jesus replied, and said to them: Ye neither know me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would also have known my Father.
20 Ne owacho wechegi kane oyudo opuonjo e laru mar hekalu, but kama ji ne ketoe sadaka. To onge ngʼama nomake, nikech kindene ne pok ochopo.
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no one laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
21 Yesu nowachonegi kendo niya, “Abiro dhi aweyou, kendo ubiro manya, to unutho mana e richou. Kuma adhiye ok unyal bire.”
Again Jesus said to them: I go away, and ye will seek me, and will die in your sins. And whither I go, ye cannot come.
22 Wachneno nomiyo jo-Yahudi openjore niya, “Dibed ni ngʼatni dwaro dere? Dipo mano emomiyo owacho ni, ‘Kuma adhiye ok unyal bire?’”
The Jews said: Is he about to kill himself, that he should say, Whither I go ye cannot come?
23 To nomedo wachonegi niya, “Unua mwalo e piny, an to aa malo e polo. Un jopinyni, to an ok an japinyni.
And he said to them: Ye are from below, I am from above; ye are of this world, I am not of this world
24 Ne asenyisou ni ubiro tho e richou. Ka utamoru yie ni an ngʼama asebedo ka awachonu ni an, to ubiro tho e richou adier.”
I said to you, That ye will die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am he, ye will die in your sins.
25 Negipenje niya, “In ngʼa?” Yesu nodwokogi niya, “An mana ngʼama asebedo ka awacho ni an nyaka aa chakruok.
The Jews said to him: Who art thou? Jesus said to them: Although I have begun to converse with you,
26 An gi gik mangʼeny monego awachnu mondo angʼadnugo bura. To Jal mane oora en ja-adiera, kendo anyiso piny gik ma asewinjo kuome.”
I have yet many things to say and to Judge concerning you. But he that sent me is true: and the things which I have heard from him, them I speak in the world.
27 Ne ok gingʼeyo ni ne owuoyonegi kuom Wuoro.
And they did not know, that he spake to them of the Father.
28 Omiyo Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Bangʼ ka useguro Wuod Dhano eka unungʼe ni an ngʼama asebedo ka anyisou ni an, kendo ni onge gima atimo kenda, to awacho mana gik ma Wuora opuonja.
Jesus said to them again: When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then will ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing from my own pleasure, but as my Father taught me, so I speak.
29 Jal mane oora ni koda kendo pok oweya kenda, nimar atimo gik malongʼone kinde duto.”
And he that sent me, is with me; and my Father hath not left me alone, because I do, at all times, that which pleaseth him.
30 Ji mangʼeny noyie kuome seche ma nowuoyono.
And when he had spoken these things, many believed on him.
31 Yesu nowacho ni jo-Yahudi manoyie kuome niya, “Ka usiko kumako puonjna, eka un jopuonjrena adier.
And Jesus said to those Jews who believed on him: If ye continue in my word, ye will be truly my disciples.
32 Kutimo kamano, to ubiro ngʼeyo adiera kendo adiera nomi ubed thuolo.”
And ye will know the truth; and the truth will make you free.
33 To negidwoke niya, “Wan koth Ibrahim kendo pok ne wabedo wasumb ngʼato nyaka nene. Ere gima omiyo iwachonwa ni ibiro miyowa wabed thuolo.”
They say to him: We are the seed of Abraham, and never were in servitude to any man; and how sayest thou, Ye will be freemen?
34 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Awachonu adier, ni ngʼato ka ngʼato matimo richo, en misumba richo.
Jesus said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, That whoever committeth sin, is the servant of sin.
35 To ongʼere ni misumba ok luong ni wuod dala, to wuod wuon dala ema iluongo kamano nyaka chiengʼ. (aiōn g165)
And a servant abideth not for ever in the house; but the Son abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
36 Omiyo ka Wuowi ema omiyo ubedo thuolo, to ubiro bedo thuolo chutho.
If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye will really be free men.
37 Angʼeyo ni un koth Ibrahim, kata kamano udwaro nega, nikech udagi miyo Wachna thuolo e chunyu.
I know that ye are the children of Abraham; but ye seek to kill me, because ye do not acquiesce in my word.
38 An awachonu gik ma aseneno kuom Wuora wangʼ gi wangʼ, to un usiko utimo mana gik ma useneno kuom wuonu.”
I speak that which I have seen with my Father, and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39 Negidwoke niya, “Wan Ibrahim e Wuonwa.” Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Ka dine bed ni un nyithind Ibrahim adier, to dine utimo gik ma Ibrahim notimo;
They answered, and said to him: Our father is Abraham. Jesus said to them: If ye were children of Abraham, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 to kar timo kamano to udwaro mana nega nikech asebedo kanyiso weche mag adiera mane Nyasaye omiya. Ibrahim to ne ok otimo gik ma kamago.
But now ye seek to kill me, a man who hath told you the truth, which I have heard from God: this did not Abraham.
41 Un timbe wuonu ema utimo.” Ne gikone ka gikwere niya, “Wan ok wan kimirwa. Wuoro ma wan-go en Nyasaye owuon.”
But ye do the works of your father. They say to him: We are not the offspring of whoredom; we have one Father, God.
42 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Ka dine bed ni Nyasaye en Wuoru, dine uhera, nimar ne aa ir Nyasaye kendo koro an ka, ok asebiro kenda awuon, to en ema noora.
Jesus said to them: If God were your Father, ye would love me; for I proceeded and came from God: I did not come of my own accord, but he sent me.
43 Angʼo momiyo gik mawacho ok nyal donjonu kendo ok unyal winjo tiendgi?
Why do ye not understand my speech? It is because ye cannot hear my speech.
44 Un nyithind wuonu ma Satan kendo dwach wuonuno ema uhero timo. Ne en janek nyaka aa chakruok, kendo ok odwar adiera nikech adiera onge kuome. Koriambo to otimo gima ongʼiyogo, nimar en ja-miriambo, kendo en e wuon miriambo duto.
Ye are of your father, the calumniator; and the lust of your father ye are disposed to do. He was from the beginning a manslayer, and abode not in the truth; for the truth is not in him, and when he speaketh a lie he speaketh from himself, for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 To an ok uyie kuoma nikech awacho adiera!
But me, because I speak the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Ere ngʼato kuomu ka manyalo ngʼengʼa ni an jaricho? To ka awachonu adier to angʼo momiyo udagi yie kuoma?
Which of you convicteth me of sin? And if I speak the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 Ngʼat Nyasaye winjo weche Nyasaye, to un ok uwinj wach Nyasaye nikech ok un joge.”
He that is of God, heareth the words of God. Therefore ye do not hear, because ye are not of God.
48 Jo-Yahudi nodwoke niya, “Donge wan kare ka wawacho ni in ja-Samaria kendo ni in gi jachien?”
The Jews answered, and said to him: Did we not well say, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?
49 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Aonge gi jachien. Wuora ema amiyo duongʼ to un to uchaya.
Jesus said to them: I have no demon: but I honor God; and ye contemn me.
50 An ok adwar mondo umiya duongʼ, to nitie Jal machielo madwaro mondo ayud duongʼ, kendo en e jangʼad bura.
But I seek not my own glory: there is one that seeketh it, and judgeth.
51 Awachonu adier ni ka ngʼato orito wachna, to ok notho nyaka chiengʼ.” (aiōn g165)
Verily, verily, I say to you: He that keepeth my word, will never see death. (aiōn g165)
52 Kane jo-Yahudi owinjo wachno, negiwachone niya, “Koro wangʼeyo maonge kiawa ni in gi jachien! Ibrahim notho, kendo jonabi bende notho, to in to iwacho ni ka ngʼato orito wachni to ok notho. (aiōn g165)
The Jews say to him: Now we know, that thou hast a demon. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; yet thou sayest: He that keepeth my word, will never taste death. (aiōn g165)
53 Iparo ni iduongʼ moloyo kwarwa Ibrahim? Ka en notho, to jonabi bende notho, in to iparo ni in ngʼa?”
Art thou greater than our father Abraham who is dead, or than the prophets who died? What dost thou make thyself?
54 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Ka dipo ni amiyora duongʼ kenda, to duongʼna onge tich. Wuora, ma un bende uluongo ni Nyasachuno ema miya duongʼ.
Jesus said to them: If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father that glorifieth me, of whom ye say, He is our God.
55 Kata obedo ni ok ungʼeye, anto angʼeye. Ka anyalo wacho ni ok angʼeye, to anyalo bedo ja-miriambo mana ka un, to angʼeye adier kendo pile angʼeyo wachne.
And ye know him not. But I know him; and if I should say, I know him not, I should be a liar, like you: but I do know him, and I observe his word.
56 Ibrahim kwaru ne mor koneno ndalona; adier, nonene mobedo mamor.”
Abraham your father desired to see my day: and he saw it, and rejoiced.
57 Jo-Yahudi nowachone niya, “Pok ichopo kata higni piero abich, to Ibrahim to iseneno kanye!”
The Jews say to him: Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Awachonu adier ni kane pok onywol Ibrahim, to ne Antie!”
Jesus said to them: Verily, verily I say to you, That before Abraham existed, I was.
59 Gikanyono ne gikwanyo kite mondo gichielgo Yesu, to nopondonigi, mopusore oa e laru mar hekalu.
And they took up stones to stone him. But Jesus concealed himself, and went out of the temple, and passed along among them, and went away.
