< Johana 6 >
1 Bangʼ kinde moko, Yesu nodhi nyaka loka machielo mar Nam Galili (tiende ni Nam Tiberia),
After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is also called the Sea of Tiberias.
2 kendo oganda maduongʼ noluwe nikech ne giseneno honni mane osetimo kochango joma tuo.
A large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on those who were sick.
3 Eka Yesu nodhi e bath got kamoro mi nobet piny kanyo gi jopuonjrene.
Jesus went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.
4 Sap Pasaka mar jo-Yahudi koro nokayo machiegni.
Now the Passover, the Jewish festival, was near.
5 Kane Yesu otingʼo wangʼe noneno oganda maduongʼ kabiro ire, mowachone Filipo niya, “Ere kuma wanyalo ngʼiewe makati ni jogi mondo gicham?”
Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a large crowd was coming to him, said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?"
6 Nopenje kamano mana mondo otemego nimar nongʼeyo gima nobiro timo.
This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Filipo nodwoke niya, “Kata chudo mar ngʼato mar dweche aboro ok dingʼiewgo makati moromo, ma ngʼato ka ngʼato kuom jogi duto nyalo yudo kata matin!”
Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little."
8 Japuonjrene machielo, ma nyinge Andrea, mane en owadgi Simon Petro nowachone niya,
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him,
9 “Wuowi moro eri nika man-gi makati matindo abich motedi gi shairi, kod rech matindo ariyo, to magi dikony angʼo kuom pidho oganda machal kama?”
"There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?"
10 Yesu nowacho niya, “Nyisuru ji obed piny.” Kanyo ne nitie lum mangʼeny, omiyo ji nobedo piny (ka joma chwo kuomgi noromo ji alufu abich).
Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 Eka Yesu nokawo makatigo mi nogwedhogi, bangʼe opogone joma nobedo piny, kendo ngʼato ka ngʼato nochiemo kaka odwaro. Kamano bende e kaka notimo gi rechgo.
Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.
12 Kane gisechiemo giduto mi giyiengʼ, nowachone jopuonjrene niya, “Chokuru ngʼinjo duto ma ji ochamo oweyo. Kik uwe gimoro dhi nono.”
When they were filled, he said to his disciples, "Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost."
13 Omiyo negichokogi, kendo negipongʼo okepe apar gariyo gi ngʼinjo ma noa e makati matindo abich mane olos gi shairi, mane joma nosechiemo oweyo.
So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.
14 Kane ji oneno tim hono ma Yesu notimono, negichako wacho niya, “Kuom adier, ma e janabi mane onego bi e piny.”
When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who comes into the world."
15 To kaka Yesu nongʼeyo ni negichano biro make mondo gikete ruoth githuon, noa kanyo kendo nodhi ewi got moro kar kende.
Jesus therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
16 Kane ochopo odhiambo, jopuonjre nodhi nyaka e dho nam,
When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,
17 kuma negidonjo ei yie, kendo ne gisiayo yieno mi gingʼado nam nyaka Kapernaum. Sechego piny koro noselil, to Yesu ne pok obiro irgi.
and they entered into the boat, and were going over the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
18 Yamb ahiti ne kudho, kendo pi nam ne gingore matek.
The sea was tossed by a great wind blowing.
19 Kane koro gisekiewo yie kama nyalo romo kilomita abich kata auchiel; negineno Yesu kawuotho ewi pi kochiko irgi; mi luoro nomakogi.
When therefore they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid.
20 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Kik uluor, en mana An.”
But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid."
21 Kane osewacho kamano eka ne gikwaye mondo odonj irgi ei yie. Kendo gikanyono yie nogowo e dho nam kama negidhiye.
They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
22 Kinyne, oganda mane ni kode loka nam noyudo ni yie achiel kende ema ne ni kanyo, kendo ni Yesu ne ok odonjo ei yieno gi jopuonjrene, to ni negidhi adhiya kendgi.
On the next day, the crowd that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except one, and that Jesus had not entered with his disciples into the boat, but his disciples had gone away alone.
23 Eka yiedhi moko moa Tiberia nogowo but kama ne ji ochame makati, mane Ruoth Yesu ogwedho.
Other boats from Tiberias came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.
24 Kane ogandano ofwenyo ni Yesu gi jopuonjrene ne onge kanyo, negidonjo ei yiedhigo, mi gidhi Kapernaum, mondo gimany Yesu kuno.
When the crowd therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
25 Kane giyude loka nam komachielo, negipenje niya, “Rabi, ne ichopo sa adi?”
When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you come here?"
26 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Awachonu adier, ni umanya ok nikech nyoro uneno honni, to mana nikech makati manyoro uchamo ma uyiengʼ.
Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Weuru tiyo ni chiemo marumo, to tiuru ni chiemo masiko nyaka chop uyud ngima mochwere, ma Wuod Dhano biro miyou. Nyasaye Wuoro oseketo kido mare kuome manyiso ni oyie kode.” (aiōnios )
Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him." (aiōnios )
28 Eka negipenje niya, “Angʼo mowinjore watim eka wati tije ma Nyasaye dwaro?”
They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?"
29 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Tich ma Nyasaye dwaro en ni mondo uyie kuom Jal moseoro.”
Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."
30 Kuom mano negipenje niya, “Kara en hono mane ma idwaro timo mondo wane eka wayie kuomi? Angʼo mibiro timonwa?
They said therefore to him, "What then do you do for a sign, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you do?
31 Kwerewa nochamo manna e thim; mana kaka ondiki ni, ‘Nomiyogi chiemo moa e polo mondo gicham.’”
Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.'"
32 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Awachonu adier ni Musa ok ema nomiyou makati moa e polo, to Wuora ema nomiyou makati mar adier moa e polo.
Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.
33 Nimar makati ma Nyasaye chiwo en Jal malor koa e polo kendo ochiwo ngimane ni piny.”
For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
34 Negiwachone niya, “Jaduongʼ, miwae makati pile pile kochakore kawuono.”
They said therefore to him, "Lord, always give us this bread."
35 Eka Yesu nowachonegi niya, “An e makati mar ngima. Ngʼama obiro ira kech ok noka, kendo ngʼama oyie kuoma riyo ok nolo ngangʼ.
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
36 To mana kaka nyocha anyisou, usenena to pod udagi yie kuoma.
But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you do not believe.
37 Joma Wuoro omiya duto biro ira, kendo ngʼato angʼata mobiro ira ok anariembi ngangʼ.
All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. Him who comes to me I will in no way throw out.
38 Nimar asebiro e piny ka aa e polo, ok ni mondo atim dwacha, to mondo atim dwach Jal mane oora.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
39 Dwach Jal mane oora en ni kik awit kata achiel kuom ji duto mosemiya, to ni mondo achiergi chiengʼ giko.
This is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day.
40 Adier, Wuora dwaro ni mondo ji duto mogeno kuom Wuowi, kendo moyie kuome mondo obed gi ngima mochwere, kendo ochiergi chiengʼ giko piny.” (aiōnios )
This is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (aiōnios )
41 Jo-Yahudi nochako ngʼur kode nikech nowacho niya, “An e makati mobiro e piny koa e polo.”
The Jewish people therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, "I am the bread which came down out of heaven."
42 Negiwacho niya, “Donge ma en Yesu, ma wuod Josef, ma wangʼeyo wuon gi min? Ere kaka dobukre kowacho sani ni, ‘Ne abiro e piny ka aa e polo’?”
They said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, 'I have come down out of heaven?'"
43 Kuom mano, Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Weuru ngʼur e kindu uwegi.
Therefore Jesus answered them, "Do not murmur among yourselves.
44 Onge ngʼama nyalo biro ira ka ok Wuora mane oora ema okele, kendo anachiere chiengʼ giko piny.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45 Ondiki e kitepe Jonabi ni, ‘Jehova Nyasaye nopuonj ji duto.’Emomiyo ngʼat mosewinjo wach Wuoro, kod mosemako puonj mare, biro ira.
It is written in the Prophets, 'And they will all be taught by God.' Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me.
46 Onge ngʼama oseneno Wuoro makmana Jal ma noa ka Nyasaye; En kende ema oseneno Wuoro.
Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God. He has seen the Father.
47 Awachonu adier ni ngʼama oyie kuoma nigi ngima mochwere. (aiōnios )
Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has everlasting life. (aiōnios )
49 Kwereu nochamo manna e thim, to kata kamano ne githo.
Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
50 An to awuoyo kuom makati moa e polo, ma ngʼato nyalo chamo mondo kik otho.
This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
51 An e makati mar ngima ma nobiro e piny koa e polo. Ka ngʼato moro amora ochamo makatini, to obiro bet mangima nyaka chiengʼ. Makatini en ringra, ma abiro chiwo mondo piny oyud ngima.” (aiōn )
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." (aiōn )
52 Eka jo-Yahudi nochako mino wach e kindgi giwegi, kagiwacho niya, “Ere kaka ngʼatni nyalo miyowa ringre mondo wacham?”
The Jews therefore argued with one another, saying, "How can this one give us flesh to eat?"
53 Eka Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Awachonu adier, ni ka ok uchamo ringre Wuod Dhano kendo umadho rembe, to uonge gi ngima.
Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.
54 Ngʼato angʼata mochamo ringra kendo omadho remba nigi ngima mochwere, kendo abiro chiere chiengʼ giko piny. (aiōnios )
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios )
55 Ringra e chiemo madier kendo remba e math madier.
For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 Ngʼato angʼata mochamo ringra kendo omadho remba siko kuoma, to an bende asiko kuome.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
57 Mana kaka Wuoro Mangima noora, kendo angima nikech Wuoro, e kaka ngʼama chamo ringra biro bedo mangima nikech an.
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.
58 An e makati mobiro e piny koa e polo. Kwereu nochamo manna kendo ne githo, to ngʼat mochamo makatini, to biro bedo mangima nyaka chiengʼ.” (aiōn )
This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as the fathers ate, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever." (aiōn )
59 Nowacho wechegi Kapernaum kane oyudo opuonjo ei sinagogi.
He said these things in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 Kane jopuonjre owinjo wachno, thothgi nowacho niya, “Ma en puonj matek manade. En ngʼa manyalo yie gi puonjni?”
Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying. Who can listen to it?"
61 Yesu nongʼeyo ni jopuonjrene ne ngʼur kuom wachni, omiyo nowachonegi niya, “Dibed ni wachni ochwanyou?
But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble?
62 Ka en kamano, to ubiro timoru nade ka unune Wuod Dhano kadok kuma ne oae!
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
63 Roho ema chiwo ngima; to dhano ok nyal gimoro. Weche ma asewachonu gin mag Roho kod ngima.
It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
64 To kata kamano pod nitie jomoko kuomu ma ok oyie.” Yesu nowacho kamano nikech nosengʼeyo nyaka aa chakruok joma ok oyie kaachiel gi ngʼat mabiro ndhoge.
But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.
65 Eka nomedo wuoyo kowacho niya, “Mano emomiyo ne anyisou ni onge ngʼama nyalo biro ira ka ok Wuora ema okele.”
He said, "For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by the Father."
66 Chakre kindeno ngʼeny jopuonjrene nodok chien moweyo luwe.
At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Yesu nopenjo jopuonjrene apar gariyo niya, “Dibed ni un bende udwaro weya koso?”
Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You do not also want to go away, do you?"
68 Simon Petro nodwoke niya, “Ruoth, en ngʼa madwadhi ire? In ema in gi weche makelo ngima mochwere. (aiōnios )
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of everlasting life. (aiōnios )
69 Wayie kendo wangʼeyo ni in e Ngʼama Ler mar Nyasaye.”
We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God."
70 Eka Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Donge aseyierou duto karu ji apar gariyo, to kata kamano, ngʼato achiel kuomu en jachien!”
Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"
71 (Nowuoyo kuom Judas ma wuod Simon Iskariot mane biro ndhoge bangʼe, kata obedo ni ne en achiel kuom jopuonjrene apar gariyo.)
Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.
