< Johana 4 >

1 Jo-Farisai nowinjo ni joma Yesu ne oseloko obedo jopuonjre, kendo obatiso ne ngʼeny moloyo jopuonjre Johana,
Therefore when Yeshua knew that the Pharisees had heard, "Yeshua is making and immersing more talmidim than John"
2 kata obedo ni Yesu owuon ne ok batiso ji, to jopuonjrene ema ne timo kamano.
(although Yeshua himself did not immerse, but his talmidim),
3 Kane Ruoth owinjo wachni, noa Judea mochako odok Galili.
he left Judea, and departed again into Galil.
4 To nochune ni nyaka okadh e piny Samaria.
He needed to pass through Samaria.
5 Kuom mano, nochopo e dala moro e piny Samaria miluongo ni Sukar, mane ni machiegni gi puodho mane Jakobo omiyo Josef wuode.
So he came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph.
6 Soko Jakobo ne ni kanyo, kendo Yesu ne koro ool gi wuoth, omiyo nobet piny e dir sokono. Ne en kar sa auchiel mar odiechiengʼ.
Jacob's well was there. Yeshua therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7 E sechego chi Samaria moro nobiro umbo pi, mi Yesu nowachone niya, “Yie imiya pi amodhi.”
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Yeshua said to her, "Give me a drink."
8 (Mano noyudo ka jopuonjrene osedhi Sukar mondo ongʼiew chiemo.)
For his talmidim had gone away into the city to buy food.
9 Chi Samaria-no nowachone niya, “In ja-Yahudi, an to an chi Samaria. Ere kaka ikwaya pi modho?” (Donge ingʼeyo ni jo-Yahudi ok winjre gi jo-Samaria.)
The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, "How can you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
10 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Ka dine ingʼe mich Nyasaye kendo ingʼe jal makwayi pi mondo omodhi, to dikwaye pi momiyi pi mar ngima.”
Yeshua answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
11 Dhakono nowachone niya, “Jaduongʼ, ionge gi gima inyalo tuomogo pi, kendo sokoni bende tut. Pi ngimano to inyalo yud kanye?
The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where do you get that living water?
12 Iparo ni iduongʼ moloyo Jakobo kwarwa mane omiyowa sokoni, kendo nomodho pige en owuon kaachiel gi yawuote, gi jambe kod dhoge?”
Are you greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?"
13 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Ngʼato ka ngʼato mamodho pigni riyo biro chako loye,
Yeshua answered her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14 to ngʼato angʼata momodho pi mamiye ok nochak owinj riyo. Chutho, pi ma anamiye nodok soko mar pi e iye, mosiko ka bubni nyaka chop e ngima mochwere.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to everlasting life." (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Dhakono nowachone niya, “Jaduongʼ, yie imiyae pigno mondo riyo kik chak loya, kendo kik asik ka achandora gi biro ka pile pile mondo aom pi.”
The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I do not get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw."
16 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Dhi iluong chwori eka iduogi.”
He said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
17 Nodwoke niya, “Aonge gi dichwo.” Yesu nowachone niya, “In kare kuom wacho ni ionge gi dichwo.
The woman answered and said to him, "I have no husband." Yeshua said to her, "You said well, 'I have no husband,'
18 Adiera en ni isebedo gi chwo abich, kendo ngʼat makoro in-go sani bende ok chwori. Gima isewachono en adier.”
for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly."
19 Dhakono nowachone niya, “Jaduongʼ, nenorena ni in janabi.
The woman said to him, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
20 Kwerewa ne lemo ewi godni, to un jo-Yahudi to uwacho ka uramo ni Jerusalem ema nyaka walamie.”
Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship."
21 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Nyarwa, yie koda; ndalo biro ma ok unulam Wuoro ewi godni kata ei Jerusalem.
Yeshua said to her, "Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, will you worship the Father.
22 Un jo-Samaria ulamo gima ukia, nimar warruok aa kuom jo-Yahudi.
You worship that which you do not know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
23 Kata kamano kinde biro, kendo osechopo, ma joma lemo gadier nolam Wuoro e yo ma Roho dwaro kendo gadiera, joma lamo kamano ema Wuoro dwaro.
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers.
24 Nyasaye en Roho, omiyo joma lame nyaka lame e yo ma Roho dwaro kendo gadiera.”
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
25 Dhakono nowacho niya, “Angʼeyo ni in Mesia” (miluongo ni Kristo) “mane onego bi kendo ka obiro, to enonyiswa tiend weche duto.”
The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah comes," (he who is called Anointed One). "When he has come, he will declare to us all things."
26 Eka Yesu nonyise ratiro niya, “An ma awuoyo kodini An e En.”
Yeshua said to her, "I am he, the one who speaks to you."
27 E sechego jopuonjrene noduogo, kendo ne giwuoro kane giyude kowuoyo gi dhako. To onge ngʼama nopenjo niya, “Angʼo midwaro kuom dhakoni?” kata niya, “Iwuoyo kode nangʼo?”
At this, his talmidim came. They were surprised that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, "What are you looking for?" or, "Why do you speak with her?"
28 Eka dhakono noweyo dapige kanyo, kendo nowuok odok dala mi owachone ji niya,
So the woman left her water pot, and went away into the city, and said to the people,
29 “Biuru uneye ngʼama osenyisa gik moko duto ma asetimo. Donge jalni dibed Kristo?”
"Come, see a man who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Messiah?"
30 Joma odak e dalano duto nowuok kadhi ire.
They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
31 To e sechego jopuonjrene nosiko kajiwe niya, “Rabi, chamie gimoro.”
In the meanwhile, the talmidim urged him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."
32 To nowachonegi niya, “An gi chiemo ma achamo ma ukia gimoro amora kuome.”
But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about."
33 Eka jopuonjrene nowacho e kindgi giwegi niya, “Dibed ni ngʼato osekelone chiemo?”
The talmidim therefore said one to another, "Has anyone brought him something to eat?"
34 Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Chiemba en timo dwach Jal mane oora kendo tieko tichne.
Yeshua said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
35 Donge uwacho ni, ‘Odongʼ dweche angʼwen to ndalo keyo chopo’? Awachonu ni utingʼ wengeu malo urang puothe! Gisechiek giromo keyo.
Do you not say, 'There are yet four months until the harvest?' Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
36 Kata mana sani ngʼat ma keyo ichulo pokne, kendo ochoko olembe mochiek ne ngima mochwere, mondo omi jachwoyo, kaachiel gi jakeyo, obed mamor kanyakla. (aiōnios g166)
He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit to everlasting life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
37 Mana kaka ngero mawacho ni, ‘Ngʼato achiel chwoyo, to ngʼato machielo keyo’ en adier.
For in this the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.'
38 Ne aorou mondo uka gima ne ok utiyone. Jomoko nono osetiyo tich matek moloyo, to un useyudo konyruok kuom tichgi matek.”
I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."
39 Jo-Samaria mangʼeny moa e dalano noyie kuom Yesu nikech neno mane dhakono otimonigi kowacho niya, “Ne onyisa gik moko duto ma asetimo.”
From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, "He told me everything that I did."
40 Kuom mano, ka jo-Samaria nobiro ir Yesu, negisaye mondo omed bet kodgi, mi nobet kodgi kuom ndalo ariyo.
So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
41 Omiyo ji mangʼeny moko bende noyie kuom Yesu nikech weche mane owachonegi.
Many more believed because of his word.
42 Negiwachone dhakono niya, “Koro wayie, ok nikech weche mane iwacho kende; to wasewinje gi itwa wawegi, kendo wangʼeyo gadier ni jalni en Jawar mar piny.”
They said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Savior of the world."
43 Bangʼ ndalo ariyogo, nowuok modhi Galili.
After the two days he departed from there to Galil.
44 (Mano noyudo ka Yesu owuon nosewacho ni janabi ok mi duongʼ e pinygi owuon.)
For Yeshua himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
45 Kane ochopo Galili, jo-Galili norwake. Ne giseneno gik moko duto mane osetimo Jerusalem chiengʼ Sap Pasaka, nimar gin bende ne gin kuno.
So when he came into Galil, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46 Nochako olimo dala mar Kana, manie piny Galili, kama ne oloke pi divai. To ne nitie jatelo moro ma wuode ne tuo Kapernaum.
Yeshua came therefore again to Cana of Galil, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Kfar-Nahum.
47 Kane ngʼatni owinjo ni Yesu osechopo Galili koa Judea, nodhi ire mosaye mondo odhi ochang wuode mane chiegni tho.
When he heard that Yeshua had come out of Judea into Galil, he went to him, and pleaded with him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was close to death.
48 Yesu nowachone niya, “Angʼeyo ni ka ok uneno honni gi ranyisi, to ok ubi yie.”
Yeshua therefore said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe."
49 Jatelono nowachone niya, “Jaduongʼ, yie idhi koda kapok nyathina otho.”
The nobleman said to him, "Sir, come down before my child dies."
50 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Dhiyo, wuodi dhi bedo mangima.” Ngʼatno norwako wach mane Yesu owachoneno, mi noa odhi.
Yeshua said to him, "Go your way. Your son lives." The man believed the word that Yeshua spoke to him, and he went his way.
51 Kane oyudo pod en e yo odok dalane, jotichne noromone gi wach ni wuode koro ngima.
As he was now going down, his servants met him, saying that his son was alive.
52 Kane ononogi mondo ongʼe ni en sa mane mane wuode ochangoe, negiwachone niya, “Midhusi nyoro oweye kar sa abiriyo.”
So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, "Yesterday at one in the afternoon, the fever left him."
53 Eka wuon nongʼeyo ni mano e sa nogono mane Yesu owachone niya, “Wuodi dhi bedo mangima.” Kuom mano, en kaachiel gi joode duto ne giyie kuom Yesu.
So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Yeshua said to him, "Your son lives." He believed, as did his whole house.
54 Mano e hono mar ariyo mane Yesu otimo, ka nodonjo Galili koa Judea.
This is again the second sign that Yeshua did, having come out of Judea into Galil.
