< Johana 16 >

1 “Asewachonu wechegi duto mondo kik ulal.
THESE things have I spoken, that ye might not be stumbled.
2 Giniriembu e sinagogi; chutho ndalo biro ma ngʼama nonegu notim kamano kaparo ni otiyo ni Nyasaye.
They will put you out of their synagogues: yea, the hour is coming, that every one who killeth you will think he offers God a sacred service.
3 Ginitim kamano nikech ok gingʼeyo Wuora kata An.
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 Asewachonu wechegi mondo ka ndalo ochopo to upar ni nasesiemou motelo. Ne ok awachonu wechegi chon nikech ne pod an kodu.
But these things have I spoken to you, that when the hour is come, ye may remember the same for I had told you. But these things I told you not at the beginning, because I was with you.
5 “Koro adhi ir Ngʼat mane oora, to onge ngʼato kuomu mapenja ni, ‘Idhi kanye?’
But now I am going away to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither art thou going?
6 Nikech gik ma asewachonu, omiyo un gi kuyo.
But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
7 To awachonu adier ni dhi ma adhigo biro kelonu ber. Ka ok adhi, to Jakony ok bi bironu; to ka adhi eka abiro oronugo.
Yet I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I went not away, the Comforter would not come to you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.
8 Ka obiro, nopuonj piny mondo ongʼe tiend richo, tim makare kod kum mabiro.
And when he cometh, he will convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Obiro nyisogi ni tamruok yie Kuoma en richo.
of sin first, because they believe not in me;
10 Bende ka adok ir Wuora, kuma ok ginyal nenae, to giningʼe ni an ngʼat makare;
then of righteousness, because I am going to the Father, so ye see me no more;
11 kendo abiro nyisogi kuom kum mabiro, nikech ruodh pinyni koro bura oseloyo.
and of judgment, because the ruler of this world hath sentence pronounced on him.
12 “An gi weche mangʼeny monego awachnu, to ok unyal winjo tiendgi sani.
I have many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear them just now.
13 To ka Roho mar adiera, osebiro, to enopuonju adiera duto. Ok enobed janeno kuome owuon, to nowachnu mana gik mosebedo kowinjo kendo obiro nyisou gik mabiro timore bangʼe.
But when he is come, the Spirit of truth, he will conduct you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever things he shall hear, he shall speak: and he will declare to you the things that shall come hereafter.
14 Enomiya duongʼ, nikech gik ma enowachnu nokaw kuoma.
He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 Gik moko duto ma Wuora nigo gin maga. Mano emomiyo ne awachonu ni gik moko duto ma Roho nowachnu nogol kuoma.”
All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore I said, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 Yesu nowacho bende niya, “Odongʼ ndalo matin to ok ubi nena, to bangʼe matin achien ubiro nena kendo.”
A little while longer, and ye shall not see me: and again a little while, and ye shall see me, because I am going to the Father.
17 Moko kuom jopuonjrene nopenjore e kindgi giwegi niya, “Ere tiend gima owachonwa ni, ‘Bangʼ kinde matin ok ubi nena, to achien unuchak unena,’ kendo owacho bende ni ‘adhi ka Wuoro’?”
Then said some of the disciples unto each other, What is this which he saith to us, A little while longer, and ye shall not see me: and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and this, because I am going to the Father?
18 Negimedo penjore kendgi niya, “Ere gima oparo kowacho ni, ‘Kinde matin?’ Ok wangʼeyo gima owacho.”
They said therefore, What is this which he saith, This little while? we know not what he means.
19 Yesu noneno ka gidwaro penje tiend wachno, omiyo nowachonegi niya, “Dibed ni upenjoru e kindu tiend gima ne awachonu ni, ‘Odongʼ ndalo matin to ok ubi nena, to bangʼe matin achien ubiro nena?’
Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Are ye questioning among yourselves concerning this declaration, which I spake, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Adier, adier awachonu, ni ubiro goyo nduru kendo ubiro ywak ka piny to winjo maber. Kuyo to ubiro kuyo, to kata kamano kuyo maru biro lokore mor achien.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be very sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 Dhako madwaro nywolo nyathi nyaka muoch kaa nikech sane ochopo; to bangʼ nywolo nyathine, wiye wil gi muoch, nikech omor ni osenywolo dhano mangima e piny.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when the little son is born, she no more remembers the anguish, for joy that a man is brought into the world.
22 Kamano un bende sani en sau mar kuyo, to ubiro bedo mamor ka ananeu bangʼe, kendo onge ngʼama nomau mor maru.
And ye therefore have indeed at present sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall be made glad, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 Chiengʼno ok unukwaya gimoro amora. Awachonu adier ni Wuora biro miyou gimoro amora mukwayo e nyinga.
And in that hour ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, That whatsoever things ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you.
24 Nyaka sani pok ukwayo gimoro amora e nyinga. Kwauru to nomiu, eka nubed mamor chuth.
Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be complete.
25 “Kata obedo ni asebedo ka awuoyonu gi ngeche, to ndalo biro ma ok nawuo kodu kamano, to ananyisu maler kuom Wuora.
These things have I spoken to you in parables: but the hour is coming when I will no more speak to you in parables, but will plainly inform you respecting the Father.
26 Chiengʼno unukwa Wuoro e nyinga. Ok awach ni an ema nakwa Wuoro karu.
In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I do not say to you, I will entreat the Father for you:
27 Ooyo, Wuoro owuon oherou nikech usehera kendo useyie ni ne aa ka Nyasaye.
for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
28 Ne aa ka Wuoro mi adonjo e piny, to sani koro aweyo piny kendo adok ir Wuoro.”
I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I am leaving the world, and going to the Father.
29 Eka jopuonjre Yesu nowachone niya, “Ero koro iwuoyo kodwa maler ma ok itiyo gi ngeche.
His disciples said unto him, Lo! now thou speakest plainly, and speakest in no-wise proverbial.
30 Koro wayie ni ingʼeyo gik moko duto kendo ni onge tiende mondo ngʼato ochandi gi penjo mathoth. Mano omiyo wayie ni ne ia ka Nyasaye.”
Now we know that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any person should ask thee: by this we believe that thou hast come forth from God.
31 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Kare ber ka koro uyie!
Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?
32 To ndalo biro, kendo osechopo ma unukerue, ka ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu ringo dok dalane. Unuweya mi adongʼ kenda, kata kamano ok an kenda, nimar Wuora ni koda.
Behold, the hour is coming, yea, it is already come, that ye shall be dispersed, each after his own concerns, and shall leave me alone: though I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 “Asenyisou gigi mondo uyud kwe moa kuoma. E pinyni ubiro neno chandruok, to beduru gi chir nikech aseloyo piny.”
These things have I spoken to you, that ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good courage; I have overcome the world.
