1 “Kik uwe chunyu chandre. Yieuru kuom Nyasaye, to An bende yieuru kuoma.
LET not your heart be troubled: believe in Aloha, and in me believe.
2 E dala Wuora nitiere udi mangʼeny, kendo ka dine ok en kamano, to dikoro asenyisou. Adhi kuno mondo alosnu kar dak.
Many are the mansions of my Father's house: and if not, I would have told you; for I go to prepare for you a place.
3 To ka adhi mi alosonu kar dak, eka abiro duogo kawou mondo un bende ubed koda kama antiere.
And if I go to prepare for you a place, I will come again and take you with me, that where I am you also may be.
4 Ageno ni ungʼeyo yo madhi kuma adhiye.”
And whither I go you know, and the way you know.
5 Thoma nowachone niya, “Ruoth wakia kuma idhiye, koro ere kaka dwangʼe yo?”
Thoma saith to him, Our Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way?
6 Yesu nodwoke niya, “An e yo kendo An e adiera bende An e ngima. Onge ngʼama nyalo biro ir Wuora ka ok okadho kuoma.
Jeshu saith to him, I (am) the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto my Father unless by me.
7 Ka ungʼeya adier, to Wuora bende ubiro ngʼeyo. Chakre kawuononi ungʼeye kendo usenene.”
But if me you had known, my Father also would you have known: and henceforth you know him and have seen him.
8 Filipo nowachone niya, “Ruoth, nyiswa Wuoro mondo kik wachak wachandi kendo.”
Philipos saith to him, Our Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Filipo, asebedo kodu kuom kinde mangʼeny, kare in pok ingʼeya? Ngʼato angʼata mosenena oseneno Wuoro, koro ere kaka ikelo wacho ni, ‘Nyiswa Wuoro’?
Jeshu saith to him, All this time have I been with you, and hast thou not known me, Philipé? He who me seeth, seeth the Father; and how sayest thou, Show us the Father?
10 Donge iyie ni An ei Wuora kendo Wuora ni e iya? Weche ma awachonu ok gin mana wechena awuon. Chutho, Wuora modak e iya ema timo tichne.
Believest thou not that I am in my Father and my Father in me? And these words that I speak, I speak not from myself, but my Father who dwelleth in me, he doeth these works.
11 Yie koda ka awacho ni an ei Wuora kendo Wuora ni e iya; to ka ok kamano, to yie kuom ranyisi gi honni ma asebedo ka atimo.
Believe that I am in my Father and my Father in me; and if not, even on account of the works, believe.
12 Awachonu adier, ni ngʼato ka ngʼato ma oyie kuoma biro timo gik ma asebedo ka atimo. Bende obiro timo gik madongo moloyo magi, nikech adhi ka Wuora.
Amen, amen, I say to you, That whosoever believeth in me, these works that I do shall he do also; and more than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father.
13 Abiro timo gimoro amora mukwayo e nyinga, eka Wuowi omi Wuoro duongʼ.
And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, I will do for you, that the Father may be glorified in his Son.
14 Gimoro amora ma ukwayo e nyinga anatimnu.”
And if you shall ask (of) me in my name, I will do.
15 “Ka uhera to ubiro timo gima achikou.
IF you love me, keep my commandments;
and I will pray of my Father, and another Paraclete will he give you, who will be with you for ever, (aiōn g165)
17 Jakonyno en Roho mar adier. Piny ok nyal rwake, nikech ok ginyal nene kendo gikiaye. Un to ungʼeye, nimar odak kodu kendo obiro bet eiu.
the Spirit of truth, he whom the world cannot receive, because it doth not see him, nor know him. But you know him; for with you he dwelleth, and in you is.
18 Ok abi weyou ka nyithi kiye; abiro biro iru.
I will not leave you orphans; for I will come to you a little after.
19 Odongʼ kinde matin to piny ok bi nena kendo. Un to pod ubiro nena, kendo ubiro bedo mangima nikech angima.
And the world seeth me not, but you shall see me; for because I live, you also shall live.
20 Odiechiengʼno unungʼe ni an ei Wuora; kendo ni un e iya, kendo an eiu.
In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 Ngʼato angʼata mongʼeyo chikena kendo orito, e ngʼama ohera. Ngʼat mohera, Wuora biro hero, kendo an bende abiro here, mi afwenyrane.”
He who hath my commandments and keepeth them is he who loveth me; and he who loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest to him myself.
22 Eka Judas, ma ok Judas Iskariot, nowachone niya, “To Ruoth, angʼo momiyo wan ema idwaro fwenyorinwa to ok ni piny?”
Jihuda saith to him, (it was not Scarjuta, ) My Lord, how to us wilt thou manifest thyself, and not to the world?
23 Yesu nodwoke niya, “Ka ngʼato ohera to obiro rito puonjna, Wuora biro here, kendo wabiro biro ire mi walos kar dakwa kode.
Jeshu replied, and said to him, He who loveth me, my word keepeth, and my Father will love him, and unto him we come, and a dwelling-place with him we make.
24 Ngʼama ok ohera ok nyal timo gima apuonjo. Weche muwinjogi ok gin maga awuon, to gin mag Wuora mane oora.
But he who loveth me not, keepeth not my word. And the word that you hear is not mine, but of the Father who sent me.
25 “Gigi duto asenyisou kapod an kodu.
These have I spoken with you while I am with you.
26 To Jakony, ma en Roho Maler, ma Wuora biro oro e nyinga, biro puonjou weche duto, kendo obiro paronu gik moko duto ma asenyisou.
But he, the Paraclete, the Spirit of Holiness, whom the Father sendeth in my name, he shall teach you every thing, and he shall remind you of all that I have said to you.
27 Aweyonu kwe; kwe mara ema amiyou. En kwe ma pinyni ok nyal miyou. Kik chunyu parre kendo kik ubed maluor.
PEACE I leave with you; my peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor be afraid.
28 “Ne uwinjo ka awacho niya, ‘Adhi to abiro duogo iru kendo.’ Ka dine bed ni uhera, to dine ubedo mamor ni adhi ka Wuora, nimar Wuora duongʼ moloya.
You have heard what I have told you, that I go, and come to you (again). If you had loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to my Father; for my Father is greater than I.
29 Koro asenyisou kapok mano otimore, mondo ka gigo otimore to uyie.
And now, behold, I have told you while it is not done, that when it has been you may believe.
30 Ok abi wuoyo kodu amingʼa nimar ruodh pinyni biro, to oonge gi teko kuoma.
Henceforth I will not speak with you much; for the ruler of the world cometh, and in me hath he nothing.
31 Kata kamano, piny nyaka ngʼe ni ahero Wuora kendo ni atimo mana gima Wuora osechika mondo atim. “Kuom mano, chunguru mondo wadhi.
But that the world may know that I love my Father, and as my Father hath commanded, so I do. Arise, let us go hence!
