< Johana 12 >

1 Kane pod odongʼ ndalo auchiel mondo Pasaka ochopi, Yesu notundo Bethania, kama Lazaro nodakie, mane en ngʼat mane Yesu ochiero oa kuom joma otho.
JESUS then before the days of the passover came to Bethany, where the deceased Lazarus was, whom he had raised from the dead.
2 Negiloso nyasi maduongʼ Bethania ne Yesu. Maritha ne miyo welo chiemo, to Lazaro to nobet kachiemo kaachiel gi joma nobet kolworo mesa.
Therefore they made him a supper there; and Martha waited: but Lazarus was one of those who sat at table with him.
3 Eka Maria nokawo mo mangʼwe ngʼar kendo ma nengone tek, manyalo romo nus lita, mowirogo tiende Yesu, bangʼe oyweyo tiendene gi yie wiye. Mi ot nopongʼ gi tik mangʼwe ngʼar mar mono.
Then Mary taking a pound of unadulterated balm of nard, very valuable, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4 Judas Iskariot, ma en achiel kuom jopuonjre Yesu kendo mane biro ndhoge bangʼe, nokwero tim mane dhakono otimo, kowacho niya,
Then said one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, who was preparing to betray him,
5 “Angʼo ma nomone hono mo mangʼwe ngʼarno mondo pesa moyudi omi joma odhier? Onge tiende ketho mo ma nengone tek kama, moromo chulo misach ngʼat achiel kuom higa ngima.”
Wherefore was not this aromatic ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?
6 Ne ok owacho kamano nikech nohero jodhier, to nikech ne en jakuo. Kaka jakeno mar pesa, nothoro konyore gi pesa ma nokanogo.
Now he said this, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and kept the purse, and carried the money put therein.
7 Yesu nodwoko niya, “Weyeuru mos. Ne ochan chon ni owinjore okan mo mangʼwe ngʼarno nyaka chiengʼ yikna.
Then said Jesus, Let her alone: for the day of my burial hath she reserved this.
8 Joma odhier ubiro bedogo e dieru kinde duto, to an ok ubi siko koda ndalo duto.”
For the poor ye have always with you; but me ye have not always.
9 E kindeno, jo-Yahudi mangʼeny nofwenyo ni Yesu ne nitie kanyo mi negibiro, ok nikech en, to nikech negidwaro neno Lazaro, manoyudo osechiero oa kuom joma otho.
Then the whole multitude of the Jews knew that he was there: and they came not for the sake of Jesus only, but also that they might see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 Omiyo jodolo madongo noloso chenro kaka digineg Lazaro kaachiel kode,
Then the chief priests consulted how they might kill Lazarus also;
11 nimar wachne nomiyo jo-Yahudi mangʼeny koro ne weyogi dhi ir Yesu kendo giyie kuome.
because on his account many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
12 Kinyne, oganda maduongʼ mane oyudo obiro e Sawo nowinjo ni Yesu ni e yo biro Jerusalem.
On the morrow a great multitude who came to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Negikawo bede othidhe mi giwuok oko mondo giromne, ka gikok niya, “Hosana!” “Ogwedh ngʼat mabiro e nying Jehova Nyasaye!” “Ogwedh Ruodh Israel!”
took branches of palm, and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna! blessed is the king of Israel, that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 Yesu noyudo nyathi kanyna moro moidho obetie, mana kaka Ndiko wacho niya,
Then Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written,
15 “Kik ibed maluor, yaye Nyar Sayun; nee, ruodhi eri biro, koidho nyathi kanyna.”
“Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on the foal of an ass.”
16 Mokwongo jopuonjrene ne ok owinjo tiend gigi duto, to achien, bangʼ ka Yesu nosemi duongʼ eka negifwenyo ni wechegi nosendiki kuome chon, kendo ni gigo notimore nikech en.
These things indeed knew not his disciples at first: but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
17 Oganda mane ni kode chiengʼ mane oluongo Lazaro oa e liel, ka nochiere oa kuom joma otho, nomedo lando wachno.
Then the multitude that was with him, when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, bore their testimony.
18 Omiyo ji mangʼeny nowuok mondo giromne, nikech negisewinjo ni en ema yande otimo honono.
Therefore also the multitude met him, because they had heard that he had done this miracle.
19 Kuom mano, jo-Farisai nowacho e kindgi ngʼato gi ngʼato niya, “Uneno ka wachni e muomowa. Neyeuru kaka piny duto osewuok luwo bangʼe!”
Then said the Pharisees among themselves, Do ye not perceive that ye gain no advantage? behold, the world is gone after him.
20 Koro ne nitie jo-Yunani moko kuom joma ne biro lemo e Sawono.
Now there were certain Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast:
21 Negibiro ir Filipo, mane aa Bethsaida, e piny Galili, mi gikwaye niya, “Jaduongʼ, wadwaro neno Yesu.”
these then came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida, of Galilee, and they asked him, saying, Sir, we wish to see Jesus.
22 Filipo nodhi monyiso Andrea wachno; eka Andrea kod Filipo nodhi ir Yesu ma ginyise wachno.
Philip comes and speaks to Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Sa osechopo mondo Wuod Dhano omi duongʼ.
Then Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Awachonu adier ni ka koth cham ok oiki e lowo motho, to osiko mana kodhi achiel kende. To ka otho, to onywolo kothe mangʼeny.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat falling on the earth undergo a deathlike change, it abideth single: but if it thus die, it beareth abundant produce.
25 Ngʼama ohero ngimane, ngimane biro lalne, to ngʼama ochayo ngimane e pinyni biro rite nyaka chop oyud ngima mochwere. (aiōnios g166)
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 Ngʼato angʼata matiyona nyaka luwa, kendo kama antie ema jatichna bende nobedie. Ngʼat matiyona Wuora biro miyo duongʼ.
If a man will be my servant, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall my servant be: and if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27 “Koro chunya chandore, to en angʼo ma dawachi? Dawach ni, ‘Wuora, resa e sa machalo kama?’ Ooyo, ok onyal timo kamano nikech ma e gima omiyo ne abiro e kindeni.
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Wuora, mi nyingi duongʼ!” Eka dwol moro noa e polo, kawacho niya, “Asemiye duongʼ kendo abiro chako amiye duongʼ.”
Father, glorify thy name! Then came a voice from heaven, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 Oganda mane ni kanyo manowinjo dwolno nowacho ni polo ema nomor, to ji mamoko to nowacho ni malaika ema nowuoyo kode.
The multitude that stood by, and heard it, said that it was thunder: others said, An angel hath spoken to him.
30 Yesu nokonegi niya, “Dwolno ne ok obiro mondo okonya, to nobiro mondo okonyu.
Jesus answered and said, This voice came not for my sake, but for your’s.
31 Koro sa osechopo ma ingʼadone piny bura, kendo sani ema ruodh pinyni noriemb oko.
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the ruler of this world be ejected out of it.
32 To an, bangʼ kosetingʼa malo mogola e pinyni, to anaywa ji duto ira.”
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 Nowacho mano mondo onyisgo kit tho ma nobiro thogo.
And this he said, signifying by what death he should die.
34 Ogandano nodwoke niya, “Wasewinjo e chik ni Kristo biro siko nyaka chiengʼ, ka en kamano, to ikelo wacho nade ni, ‘Wuod Dhano nyaka bi tingʼ malo’? ‘Wuod Dhano’ miwuoyo kuomeno to en ngʼa?” (aiōn g165)
Then the multitude answered him, We have heard out of the law, that the Messiah abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, That the Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
35 Eka Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Pod ubiro bedo gi ler kuom ndalo manok. Wuothuru kapod un gi ler; ka mudho pok ojukou. Ngʼama wuotho e mudho okia kuma odhiye.
Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest the darkness overtake you: he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not even whither he is going.
36 Keturu genou kuom ler kapod un kode, mondo mi ubed nyithind ler.” Kane Yesu osetieko wuoyo kodgi, to nowuok owegi kendo nopondonigi.
While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of the light. These things spake Jesus, and going away, concealed himself from them.
37 To kata obedo ni Yesu nosetimo honnigo duto ka gineno gi wengegi, to pod ne gidagi mana yie kuome.
Now, though he had done so many miracles before them, they believed not on him:
38 Mano notimore mondo ochop wach mane Isaya janabi osewacho niya, “Jehova Nyasaye, en ngʼa moseyie wach mwalando, koso en ngʼa ma Jehova Nyasaye osenyiso tekone?”
that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, “Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39 Kuom mano, ne ok ginyal yie, mana kaka Isaya nowacho bende komachielo niya,
For this reason they could not believe, because Isaiah had said again;
40 “Osedino wengegi kendo osemiyo chunygi odoko matek, mondo kik gine gimoro gi wengegi, kendo kik giwinj tiend weche gi chunygi, mi gilokre gidwog ira mi achang-gi.”
“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts; lest they should see with their eyes, and understand with the heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”
41 Isaya nowacho kamano nikech noneno duongʼ maler mar Yesu kendo nowuoyo kuome.
These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
42 Kata kamano, e kindeno, ji mangʼeny kuom jotelo bende noyie kuome. To nikech negiluoro jo-Farisai, ne ok ginyal hulo yie margi e lela nimar negiluor ni dipo ka oriembgi e sinagogi.
However, notwithstanding, many even of the rulers believed on him; but on account of the Pharisees they did not make open profession, lest they should be put out of the synagogues:
43 Nimar ne gihero pak moa kuom dhano moloyo pak moa kuom Nyasaye.
for they loved honour from men, more than honour from God.
44 Eka Yesu nokok matek kawacho niya, “Ka ngʼato oyie kuoma, to an ok ema oyie kuoma kenda, to oyie kuom Jal mane oora bende.
Then Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 Ngʼama nena, neno Jal mane oora.
And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.
46 Asebiro e piny kaka ler, mondo ngʼato angʼata moyie kuoma kik sik e mudho.
I am come a light into the world, that every one who believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47 “To ngʼat mawinjo wechena to ok riti, to an ok angʼadne bura, nikech ne ok abiro mondo angʼadne piny bura, to nabiro mondo ares piny.
And if any man, hearing my words, believeth not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 Nitie Ngʼat mangʼado bura ne ngʼama odaga kendo ma ok oyie wechena. Ngʼama kamano wachna mane awacho ema biro ngʼadone bura marach chiengʼ giko piny.
He that sets me at nought, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: even the word which I have spoken, the same shall judge him at the last day.
49 Nimar ne ok awuoyo gi dwacha awuon, to Wuoro ma noora ema nochika mondo awachi gik ma asebedo ka awacho kendo kaka onego awachgi.
Because I have not spoken of myself; but the Farther who has sent me, he gave me commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 Angʼeyo ni chikne ema kelo ngima mochwere. Kuom mano, gimoro amora ma awacho en mana gima Wuora onyisa mondo awachi.” (aiōnios g166)
And I know that his commandment is life eternal: therefore the things which I speak to you, just as the Father spake to me, so speak I. (aiōnios g166)
