< Johana 10 >

1 Yesu nomedo wachonegi niya, “Adier, adier, awachonu ni ngʼama ok donji e abich rombe koluwo dhorangach, to odonjo koluwo yo machielo, en jakuo kendo jamecho.
“Most assuredly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2 Ngʼat madonjo koluwo dhorangach e jakwadh rombe.
The one who enters by the gate is the sheep’s shepherd.
3 Jarito yawone dhorangach kendo rombe winjo dwonde. Oluongo rombene owuon gi nying-gi kendo otelonegi kagiwuok oko moro ka moro.
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 Ka osegolo rombene duto oko, to otelo e nyimgi, kendo rombene luwo bangʼe nikech gingʼeyo kit dwonde.
When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
5 To ok ginyal luwo bangʼ ngʼama gikia. Adier, giringo gia bute nikech ok gingʼeyo dwonde.”
There is no way that they will follow a stranger, but will run away from the stranger, because they don’t know the voice of strangers.”
6 Yesu notiyo gi ngeroni to ne ok giwinjo tiend gima nonyisogi.
Jesus used this illustration, but the Pharisees didn’t understand what He was telling them.
7 Kuom mano, Yesu nochako owachonegi niya, “Adier, adier, awachonu ni an e dhoranga rombe.
Then Jesus told them again, “Most assuredly, I tell you, I am the sheep’s door.
8 Ji duto mane obiro motelona ne gin jokwoge kendo jomecho, to rombe ne ok owinjogi.
All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them.
9 An e dhorangach; ma ngʼato angʼata mokadho kuoma nokwo kendo nodonj iye mi owuog oko kendo oyud kar kwath maber.
I am the door. Anyone who enters by me will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 Jakuo biro mana mondo okwal kendo oneki kendo oketh gik moko, An to asebiro mondo giyud ngima, kendo giyude mogundho.
The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they might have life, and that they might have it in all its fullness.
11 “An e jakwath maber. Jakwath maber chiwo ngimane ne rombe.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
12 Jatij ngʼato ok en jakwath ma wuon rombe. Omiyo koneno ondiek kabiro, to oringo oweyo rombe kanyo. Eka ondiek monjo rombe kendo keyogi.
The hired hand, who isn’t the shepherd and doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away. So, the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
13 Ngʼatno ringo tony nikech en mana jatich kendo ngima rombe ok obadhe.
The hired hand is concerned about the wages, and not the sheep, so the hired hand runs away.
14 “An e jakwath maber; angʼeyo rombena kendo rombena bende ongʼeya.
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
15 Gingʼeya mana kaka Wuora ongʼeya kendo angʼeyo Wuoro, kendo achiwo ngimana ne rombe.
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 An gi rombe moko ma ok ni e abich rombegi. Gin bende nyaka akelgi kendo giniwinj dwonda, eka rombe duto nobed kweth achiel man-gi jakwath achiel.
I have other sheep that don’t belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So, there will be one flock, with one shepherd.
17 Gimomiyo Wuora ohera en nikech ayie chiwo ngimana, eka achako akawe kendo.
For this reason the Father sincerely loves me, because I lay down my life, so that I may take it up again.
18 Onge ngʼama nyalo kawe kuoma, to achiwe nikech ahero. An gi teko mar chiwe bende an gi teko mar kawe kendo. Tekoni ne ayudo kuom Wuora.”
No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it up again. I received this commandment from my Father.”
19 Wechegi nomedo kelo pogruok e kind jo-Yahudi.
The Jews were divided again, because of these words.
20 Ji mangʼeny nowacho niya, “Ngʼatni nigi jachien kendo ojaneko, en angʼo momiyo uchiko itu ni wechene?”
Many of them were saying, “He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?”
21 Ji mamoko to nowacho niya, “Magi ok gin weche ma ngʼama nigi jachien nyalo wacho. Jachien bende nyalo yawo wangʼ muofu adier?”
Others were saying, “These aren’t the sayings of a demon-possessed person. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
22 Eka kinde mar Sawo mar Puodho hekalu nochopo Jerusalem. Ne en ndalo chwiri
At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter,
23 kendo noyudo Yesu nitie machiegni gi hekalu, kowuotho e agola mar Solomon.
and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.
24 Jo-Yahudi nochokore molwore, kendo negiwachone niya, “Pod ibiro weyowa e mudho nyaka karangʼo? Ka in e Kristo to nyiswa maler.”
Then the Jews gathered around Him, and asked Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Asenyisou, to utamoru yie. Honni ma atimo e nying Wuora bende nyiso gima An,
Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify about me,
26 to udagi yie nikech ok un rombena.
but you don’t believe, because you aren’t of my sheep.
27 Rombena winjo dwonda, bende angʼeyogi kendo giluwo bangʼa.
My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.
28 Amiyogi ngima mochwere, kendo ok ginilal ngangʼ, bende onge ngʼama nyalo kawogi kagologi e lweta. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one is able to snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
29 Wuora mosemiyagi duongʼ moloyo duto, kendo onge ngʼama nyalo kawogi mi golgi e lwet Wuora.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
30 An kod Wuora wan achiel.”
I and my Father are one.”
31 Kane jo-Yahudi owinjo wachno, negichako gikwanyo kite mondo gichielego,
Therefore the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.
32 to Yesu nowachonegi niya, “Asenyisou honni madongo mangʼeny moa ka Wuora. Kuom honnigi duto, en mane kuomgi ma udwaro chielane gi kite?”
Jesus answered, “I showed you many good works from the Father. For which of them are you stoning me?”
33 Jo-Yahudi nodwoke niya, “Ok wachieli gi kite nikech honni madongo misetimo, to wachieli gi kite nikech iseyanyo Nyasaye. In mana dhano adhanani, ere kaka inyalo ketori ni in Nyasaye?”
The Jews answered Him, “We aren’t stoning you for a good work, but for blasphemy, because You, being a man, claim to be God.”
34 Yesu nodwokogi niya, “Donge ondiki e chiku ni, ‘Ne awacho ni un “nyiseche”’?
Jesus answered, “Isn’t it written in your Law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?
35 Kane oluongo joma wach Nyasaye nobironigi ni ‘nyiseche,’ to ongʼere ni Ndiko ok nyal kethi,
If he, who God’s word came to, called them gods, (and the Scripture can’t be broken),
36 to koro unyalo wacho angʼo kuom Jal ma Wuoro nowalo kaka Ngʼate owuon mi ooro e piny? Ka kamano, to angʼo momiyo udonjona gi ketho mar yanyo Nyasaye, nikech nende awacho ni, ‘An Wuod Nyasaye’?
do you say of Him who the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?
37 Ka dipo ni ok atim gik ma Wuora timo, to kik uyie kuoma.
If I don’t do my Father’s works, then don’t believe me.
38 To ka atimogi, to yieuru kuom honnigo, kata ka an ok udwar yie kuoma, mondo ungʼe maber ni Wuoro ni e iya kendo an ei Wuoro.”
But if I do them, even if you don’t believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
39 Ne gitemo make kendo, to nopusore e lwetgi.
Therefore they were trying again to seize Him, and He escaped from their grasp.
40 Eka Yesu nongʼado Jordan modok kama Johana ne batisoe ji kinde motelo. Nodak kanyo,
Jesus went away again across the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
41 kendo ji mangʼeny nobiro ire. Negiwacho niya, “Kata obedo ni Johana ne ok otimo tim hono moro amora, to gik moko duto manowacho kuom ngʼatni ne gin adier.”
Many came to Him and were saying, “John performed no miraculous sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.”
42 Kamano, ji mangʼeny noyie kuom Yesu kanyo.
Many believed in Jesus there.
