< Ayub 38 >

1 Eka Jehova Nyasaye nodwoko Ayub gi ei yamo maduongʼ. Nowacho kama:
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind,
2 “Ma to en ngʼa ma umo riekona gi weche mofuwo?
“Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Koro aa malo ka dichwo; mondo idwoka weche, madwaro penjigi.
Brace yourself like a man, for I will question you, then you answer me!
4 “Ne in kune chiengʼ mane achungo mise mag piny? Nyisa ane, bende ingʼeyo wachni!
“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.
5 En ngʼa mane opimo borne gi lachne? Ero iwacho ni ingʼeyo! En ngʼa mane orieyo tol kane ipime?
Who determined its measures, if you know? Or who stretched the line on it?
6 Mise mage noyie e angʼo? Koso en ngʼa mane oketo kidi momake motegno?
What were its foundations fastened on? Or who laid its cornerstone,
7 Chiengʼ mane sulwe mokinyi wer kanyakla kendo mane malaike duto kok gimor?
when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 “En ngʼa mane ochoko nam kanyachiel moloro kuonde monyalo wuokgo kane obubni kowuok e bwo lowo?
“Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke out of the womb,
9 En ngʼa mane otimo kamano kane aume gi boche kaka nangane kendo kane aboye ei mudho mandiwa;
when I made clouds its garment, and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10 kane aketone tongʼ mage kendo achungone dhorangeye ka keto sirni mage kuonde mowinjore?
marked out for it my bound, set bars and doors,
11 Kane awacho ni, ‘Ka ema onego ichopie ma ok ikalo; ka e kama apaka magi nyalo dhwolore mi gike’?
and said, ‘You may come here, but no further. Your proud waves shall be stopped here’?
12 “Bende nitiere chik misegolo mondo piny oyawre, kata nyiso kogwen mondo obedie?
“Have you commanded the morning in your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,
13 Bende isechiko piny mondo oyawre maler mamiyo joricho wuok kuonde ma gipondoe?
that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and shake the wicked out of it?
14 Ka piny yawore to gik moko duto nenore maler; mana ka kido mogor e nanga.
It is changed as clay under the seal, and presented as a garment.
15 Joma timbegi richo itamoe ler, kendo lwetegi ma gitingʼo malo jony ma ok nyal timo gimoro.
From the wicked, their light is withheld. The high arm is broken.
16 “Bende isewuotho michopo nyaka e sokni manie bwo nam kata wuotho ei kude kuonde mogajore?
“Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 Bende osenyisi dhorangaye mag tho? Koso bende iseneno dhorangeye mag tipo mag tho?
Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?
18 Bende ingʼeyo chuth ni piny duongʼ maromo nade? Nyisa ane ka ingʼeyo gigi duto?
Have you comprehended the earth in its width? Declare, if you know it all.
19 “Yo miluwo kidhi dala ler en mane? Mudho to odak kanye?
“What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place,
20 Bende inyalo kawogi mi idwokgi kuondegi? Bende ingʼeyo yo midhigo miechgi?
that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house?
21 Nenore ni ingʼeyo, nikech ne gichakore kosenywoli! Isedak amingʼa miwuoro!
Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!
22 “Bende isedonjo e dere mokanie pe madongo kata neno dere mag pe matindo,
Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
23 ma akano ne kinde mag chandruok, ne odiechienge mag lweny gi kedo?
which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
24 Bende ingʼeyo yo midhigo kuma mil polo riadore, kata yo ma yembe mag wuok chiengʼ wuokie kikeyo e piny?
By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?
25 En ngʼa mane osiemo ni koth maduongʼ kod mor polo kama onego giluw,
Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm,
26 mondo okel ngʼich kama onge dhano modakie ma en piny motimo ongoro maonge dhano kata achiel,
to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man,
27 mondo oduog chuny piny motwo kendo omi lum mangʼich twi?
to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow?
28 Koth bende nigi wuon mare? Wuon thoo mamoko e lum en ngʼa?
Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?
29 Min pe to en ngʼa? Min koyo maa e polo to en ngʼa,
Whose womb did the ice come out of? Who has given birth to the gray frost of the sky?
30 mamiyo nam doko matek ka kidi, kendo mamiyo nam doko matek ka lwanda?
The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.
31 “Bende inyalo choko sulwe mag yugni mitue? Bende inyalo keyo yugni mochokore kanyachiel?
“Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?
32 Bende inyalo miyo sulwe maratego mondo owuogi e kindene mowinjore kata chiko sulwe mar olworo budho yo monego oluw?
Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?
33 Bende ingʼeyo chike mag polo? Bende inyalo keto chike Nyasaye mondo orit piny?
Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?
34 “Bende inyalo golo chik ne boche polo mondo okel koth maduongʼ?
“Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you?
35 Bende ioro mor polo e yoregi ma giluwo? Bende digiduoki kagiwacho ni, ‘Eri wan ka’?
Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?
36 En ngʼa mane oketo rieko e obwongo dhano kata mane oketo winjo e pache?
Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the mind?
37 En ngʼa mariek manyalo kwano boche polo? Koso en ngʼa manyalo lengʼogi mondo koth ochwe,
Who can count the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,
38 milok buru bed matek malos gogni?
when the dust runs into a mass, and the clods of earth stick together?
39 “Bende dinyal dwaro chiemo ni sibuor madhako kendo ipidh sibuoche modenyo,
“Can you hunt the prey for the lioness, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
40 e kinde ma gibuto e gondgi kata ka gibuto e bungu?
when they crouch in their dens, and lie in wait in the thicket?
41 En ngʼa mamiyo agak chiemo ka nyithinde ywagore ne Nyasaye, kendo bayo koni gi koni ka dwaro chiemo?
Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?
