< Ayub 36 >
1 Elihu nomedo wuoyo kawacho niya:
And Elihu addeth and saith: —
2 “Wena thuolo matin mondi to abiro nyisi ni nitie mathoth manyalo wacho kuom Nyasaye.
Honour me a little, and I shew thee, That yet for God [are] words.
3 Ngʼeyo ma an-go agolo kuma bor; kendo koro adwaro nyiso kaka Jachwechna timo gik makare.
I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.
4 Bed kingʼeyo ni wechena ok gin miriambo; ngʼeni ngʼama ongʼeyo gik moko malongʼo chuth ema ni kodi.
For, truly, my words [are] not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
5 “Nyasaye nyalo duto, to kata kamano ok ochayo ji; onyalo duto kendo chenro mage ok lokre.
Lo, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.
6 Ok owe joricho kangima, to omiyo joma ithiro ratiro margi.
He reviveth not the wicked, And the judgment of the poor appointeth;
7 Ok ogol wangʼe oko kuom joma kare; oketogi e loch kaachiel gi ruodhi kendo otingʼogi malo nyaka chiengʼ.
He withdraweth not from the righteous His eyes, And [from] kings on the throne, And causeth them to sit for ever, and they are high,
8 Ka otwe ji gi nyiroro, kendo ka oridgi matek gi tonde mag masiche,
And if prisoners in fetters They are captured with cords of affliction,
9 to onyisogi gik magisetimo; kendo ni giseketho ka ok gidewo.
Then He declareth to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,
10 Omiyo giwinje korieyogi kendo ochikogi ni gilokre giwe timbegi maricho.
And He uncovereth their ear for instruction, And saith that they turn back from iniquity.
11 Ka giwinjo wachne mi gitiyone, to gibiro dak e mwandu ndalogi mabiro, kendo gibiro dak ka gin gi gimoro amora e higni mabiro.
If they do hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.
12 To ka gitamore winje, to ligangla biro tiekogi, kendo gibiro tho ka gionge rieko.
And if they do not hearken, By the dart they pass away, And expire without knowledge.
13 “Joma okia Nyasaye chunygi opongʼ gi mirima ma kata ka okumgi to ok giywagre mondo oresgi.
And the profane in heart set the face, They cry not when He hath bound them.
14 Omiyo githo ka kapod gitindo ka ngima marach otieko tekregi.
Their soul dieth in youth, And their life among the defiled.
15 To joma ni e chandruok oreso e chandruokgi; owuoyo kodgi e kinde ma gin gi chandruok.
He draweth out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovereth in oppression their ear.
16 “Ogoli e masiche kendo oteri kama onge chandruok mondo omiyi kwe gi chiemo mogundho.
And also He moved thee from a strait place, [To] a broad place — no straitness under it, And the sitting beyond of thy table Hath been full of fatness.
17 Sani to koro eri iyudo kum maromre gi joricho; nimar kum kod adiera oketi diere.
And the judgment of the wicked thou hast fulfilled, Judgment and justice are upheld — because of fury,
18 Bed motangʼ kik ngʼato wuondi gi mwandu, kendo kik iyie ngʼato omiyi asoya mathoth mi iwe Nyasaye.
Lest He move thee with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement turn thee not aside.
19 Koso iparo ni mwanduni mathoth kata nyagruok minyagori, gi tekri iwuon nyalo siri mi goli e chandruok?
Doth He value thy riches? He hath gold, and all the forces of power.
20 Kik igomb mondo piny oyusi, mondo otim timbe mahundu.
Desire not the night, For the going up of peoples in their stead.
21 Tangʼ mondo chandruok kik dwoki e richo.
Take heed — do not turn unto iniquity, For on this thou hast fixed Rather than [on] affliction.
22 “Parie kaka teko Nyasaye duongʼ en e japuonj maberie moloyo?
Lo, God doth sit on high by His power, Who [is] like Him — a teacher?
23 En ngʼa manyalo nyiso Nyasaye yore monego oluw, kata manyalo kwere ni, ‘Isetimo marach’?
Who hath appointed unto Him his way? And who said, 'Thou hast done iniquity?'
24 Kik wiyi wil mak ipako tijene ma gin tijene ma ji osepako gi wer.
Remember that thou magnify His work That men have beheld.
25 Ji duto modak e piny osenene adier gisenene gi kuma bor.
All men have looked on it, Man looketh attentively from afar.
26 Mano kaka Nyasaye duongʼ, adier oduongʼ mokalo ngʼeyo kendo kata hike ok wanyal kwano.
Lo, God [is] high, And we know not the number of His years, Yea, there [is] no searching.
27 “Ochoko ngʼich mar pi kogolo ewi pige, kendo olokogi koth mi gichak gichue gipongʼ aore;
When He doth diminish droppings of the waters, They refine rain according to its vapour,
28 omiyo koth chue ne ji koa e boche polo.
Which clouds do drop, They distil on man abundantly.
29 En ngʼa mongʼeyo kaka boche polo ringo, kata kaka polo mor?
Yea, doth [any] understand The spreadings out of a cloud? The noises of His tabernacle?
30 Neye kaka omiyo mil polo menyo kor polo duto, ka chuny nam to dongʼ kotimo mudho.
Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered,
31 Kamano e kaka orito ogendini kendo omiyogi chiemo mogundho.
For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance.
32 Omako mil polo gi lwete kendo otimogo gima odwaro.
By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,
33 Mor polo miyo wangʼeyo ni koth maduongʼ chiegni chue, kendo koda ka jamni ongʼeyo ni koth ma kamano biro chue.
He sheweth by it [to] his friend substance, Anger against perversity.
