< Ayub 26 >
But Job answered and said,
2 “Mano kaka usekonyo joma onge teko! Mano kaka usereso joma yomyom!
To whom do you attach yourself, or whom are you going to assist? is it not he that [has] much strength, and [he] who has a strong arm?
3 Mano kaka usengʼado rieko ne ngʼama onge gi rieko ka an kama, kendo uyie puonjo ngʼama ofuwo ka an kama!
To whom have you given counsel? is it not to him who has all wisdom? whom will you follow? is it not one who has the greatest power?
4 En ngʼa mosemiyou rieko mar wuoyo kamano? Koso en paro mane ma un-go momiyo wechego wuok e dhou?
To whom have you uttered words? and whose breath is it that has come forth from you?
5 “Piny joma otho tetni, kendo ji duto man kuno luoro malich omako.
Shall giants be born from under the water and the inhabitants thereof?
6 Piny joma otho ok opondo ne Nyasaye; kendo onge gima nyalo mone nene. (Sheol )
Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol )
7 Oyaro polo man yo nyandwat mi oumgo kama ninono; kendo oliero piny ewi gima onge.
He stretches out the north wind upon nothing, and he upon nothing hangs the earth;
8 Nyasaye ema pongʼo boche polo kod pi, kendo omono pek mar pigno yiecho bochego.
binding water in his clouds, and the cloud is not tore under it.
9 Oumo wangʼ dwe mopor, koyaro bochene mondo ogengʼe.
He keeps back the face of his throne, stretching out his cloud upon it.
10 Ogoro giko wi piny ewi pige kaka kiew mar ler gi mudho.
He has encompassed the face of the water by an appointed ordinance, until the end of light and darkness.
11 Sirni mag polo yiengni kendo kokwerogi to gilingʼ thi.
The pillars of heaven are prostrate and astonished at his rebuke.
12 Ne ochoko pige mag nam gi tekre owuon; kendo kuom riekone ne otieko Rahab.
He has calmed the sea with [his] might, and by [his] wisdom the whale has been overthrown.
13 Muche ema nomiyo polo olendo; kendo lwete ema ne onegogo thuol mane oyudo ringo tony.
And the barriers of heaven fear him, and by a command he has slain the apostate dragon.
14 To magi gin mana dir tijene ma oko kende; kendo gin mana gik manok kende mikuodho kuome! Koro en ngʼa mongʼeyo gima Nyasaye nyalo timo gi tekone?”
Behold, these are parts of his way; and we will listen to him at the least intimation of his word: but the strength of his thunder who knows, when he shall employ [it]?
