< Ayub 21 >

1 Eka Ayub nodwoko niya,
And Job answered and said,
2 “Chikuru itu mondo uwinj wechena; yie utimna ngʼwono mondo uwinja.
Hear attentively my speech, and let this replace your consolations.
3 An bende miyauru thuolo mondo awuo, to ka asetieko wuoyo, to udhi nyime gijara.
Suffer me and I will speak; and after I have spoken, mock on!
4 “Uparo ni aywagora ne dhano? En angʼo ma dimi abed mos?
As for me, is my complaint to a man? or wherefore should not my spirit be impatient?
5 Rangauru ane ka ok dubwogi; kendo ka ok dumak dhou ka uhum.
Mark me, and be astonished, and lay the hand upon the mouth.
6 Ka aparo kuom kaka achal, to angʼengʼ angʼengʼa; kendo denda duto tetni.
Even when I think [thereon], I am affrighted, and trembling taketh hold of my flesh.
7 Angʼo momiyo joma timbegi richo ngima angima, angʼo momiyo gidak amingʼa, kendo tekregi osiko medore ameda?
Wherefore do the wicked live, grow old, yea, become mighty in power?
8 Nyithindgi dongo maber mi bed gi keregi e diergi kendo nyikwagi bende nyaa ka pod gingima.
Their seed is established with them in their sight, and their offspring before their eyes.
9 Miechgi oriti maber maonge gima bwogogi; kendo kum mar Nyasaye onge kuomgi.
Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
10 Rwethgi koluwo dhok mamon to nyaka nywol; dhogegi nywolo nyiroye madongo duto kendo onge minywolo kobwogi.
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
11 Nyithindgi wuotho kanyakla ka jamni; to nyithindgi matindo giro ka nyiroye.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
12 Giwer ka gigoyo oyieke gi asili; kendo gimiel ka gigoyo orutu.
They shout to the tambour and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.
13 Piny dhi kodgi maber higa ka higa, kendo githo ka gin gi kwe. (Sheol h7585)
They spend their days in prosperity, and in a moment go down to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
14 To gingʼanyone Nyasaye kagiwacho niya, ‘Wewa mos!’ Waonge gi gombo moro amora mar ngʼeyo yoreni.
And they say unto God, Depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways!
15 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego to en ngʼa, ma dwatine? Koso en ohala mane mwabiro yudo kwalame?
What is the Almighty that we should serve him? and what are we profited if we pray unto him?
16 Kata kamano mwandugigo ok giyudo gi tekregi giwegi, emomiyo apogora mabor gi pach joma richogo.
Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand. The counsel of the wicked be far from me!
17 “To kata kamano, donge joricho manok ema tho piyo? Donge ji matin kuomgi kende ema masira mako; ma en masira ma mirimb Nyasaye ema okelo?
How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, and cometh their calamity upon them? Doth he distribute sorrows [to them] in his anger?
18 Bende gi chalo gi lum ma yamo yiengo, kata gi mihudhi ma yamo tero?
Do they become as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away?
God layeth up [the punishment of] his iniquity for his children; he rewardeth him, and he shall know [it]:
20 Ber mondo one chandruok ma en owuon ema okelo; kendo mondo orom gi Jehova Nyasaye Maratego.
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the fury of the Almighty.
21 Nimar ok lichne kata ka otho moweyo joge ka giko ndalo mar ngimane ochopo.
For what pleasure should he have in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?
Can any teach God knowledge? And he it is that judgeth those that are high.
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet;
24 ka dende orito maber, kendo chokene otegno.
His sides are full of fat, and the marrow of his bones is moistened;
25 To ngʼat machielo to tho ka chunye opongʼ gi lit, ma ok oneno ber moro amora e ngimane duto.
And another dieth in bitterness of soul, and hath not tasted good:
26 Kata kamano giduto iyikogi machalre e lowo kendo kute nur kuomgi machalre.
Together they lie down in the dust, and the worms cover them.
27 “Angʼeyo maber gik ma uparo, angʼeyo gik muchano e chunyu mondo ukinyago.
Lo, I know your thoughts, and the devices ye wrongfully imagine against me.
28 Uwacho niya, ‘Dak koro wane od ruodheno, hembe mane joma richo odakiego koro ere?’
For ye say, Where is the house of the noble? and where the tent of the dwellings of the wicked?
29 To donge usepenjoe joma osedak amingʼa?
Have ye not asked the wayfarers? and do ye not regard their tokens:
30 ni ngʼama rach tony ka masira obiro kendo ni iresega chiengʼ mirima?
That the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity? They are led forth to the day of wrath.
31 En ngʼa makwere e wangʼe koketho? Koso ngʼa machule kuom gima osetimo?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
32 Chiengʼ ma iyike e liel to liende irito maber.
Yet is he carried to the graves, and watch is kept over the tomb.
33 Sa ma idhi yike to ji duto kowe, kendo lowo lwar kuome mos.
The clods of the valley are sweet unto him; and every man followeth suit after him, as there were innumerable before him.
34 “Ka en kamano, to kara koro ere tiende hoya gi wecheu manonogo? Onge adiera kata achiel modongʼ kuom dwokougo, makmana miriambo lilo!”
How then comfort ye me in vain? Your answers remain perfidious.
