< Ayub 11 >
1 Eka Zofar ja-Namath nodwoko ni,
Then Zophar the Naamathite answered, and said,
2 “Weche miwacho mathothgi bende nyalo kadho nono mak odwoki adier? Bende inyalo kwani kaka ngʼama kare adier, ngʼat ma wuoyo mangʼenyni?
Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?
3 Wechegi manonogo bende nyalo hoyo ji malingʼ? Iparo ni onge ngʼama nyalo kweri kijaro ji kamano?
Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mock, shall no man make thee ashamed?
4 Ere gima omiyo iwachone Nyasaye ni, ‘An giyie makare kendo aler e nyimi?’
For thou say, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
5 To mano kaka daher mondo Nyasaye odwoki kuom wachno,
But O that God would speak, and open his lips against thee,
6 mondo omi onyisi yore mopondo mag rieko, nimar rieko madier nigi rachne gi berne. To ngʼe ni Nyasaye wiye osewil kata mana gi richogi moko.
and that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacts of thee less than thine iniquity deserves.
7 “Bende inyalo ngʼeyo weche mopondo mag Nyasaye? Bende in gi teko mar ngʼeyo kuma duongʼ mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ogikie?
Can thou find out God by searching? Can thou find out the Almighty to perfection?
8 Giboyo moyombo polo, koro in to ditimie angʼo? Gitut moloyo bur liel; koro in to ditimie angʼo? (Sheol )
It is high as heaven; what can thou do? Deeper than Sheol; what can thou know? (Sheol )
9 Bor margi oyombo bor mar piny kendo lach margi oloyo lach mar nam.
The measure of it is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
10 “Ka onyalo biro sani mi otweyi e od twech kendo ochok bura mayali, en ngʼa ma disire?
If he passes through, and shuts up, and all to judgment, then who can hinder him?
11 Adier, oneno joma wuondore; kendo koneno richo, to donge ondiko piny?
For he knows false men. He also sees iniquity. Will he not then consider it?
12 Ka nyathi punda inyalo nywol ka muol, to kara ngʼama ofuwo bende nyalo bedo mariek.
But vain man is void of understanding. Yea, man is born as a wild donkey's colt.
13 “Kata kamano ka ichiworine kendo imiye chunyi,
If thou set thy heart aright, and stretch out thy hands toward him,
14 bende ka iweyo timo richo kendo ingʼado ni richo moro amora ok bed e dalani,
if iniquity is in thy hand, put it far away, and let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.
15 eka inyalo bedo thuolo kionge gi wichkuot kendo ibiro chungʼ motegno ka ionge luoro.
Surely then thou shall lift up thy face without spot. Yea, thou shall be steadfast, and shall not fear.
16 Adier wiyi nowil gi chandruokni, Mana ka koth mochwe ochok ma wich osewilgo.
For thou shall forget thy misery. Thou shall remember it as waters that are passed away.
17 Ngimani nobed maler moloyo ler mar odiechiengʼ, kendo mudho nochalni gi ler mokinyi.
And thy life shall be clearer than the noonday. Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.
18 Inidag gi kwe maonge luoro, nikech geno ma in-go, kendo Nyasaye noriti mamiyi yweyo.
And thou shall be secure, because there is hope. Yea, thou shall search about thee, and shall take thy rest in safety.
19 Ininind kionge gi luoro, kendo ji mangʼeny nomany konyruok kuomi.
Also thou shall lie down, and none shall make thee afraid. Yea, many shall correspond with thee.
20 To wenge joma timbegi richo biro jony kendo yore mag tony biro lalnegi; to geno margi biro lal nono.”
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee. And their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit.
