< Isaya 3 >

1 Neuru koro Ruoth Nyasaye, ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, biro tieko mich kod kony mikelo ne Jerusalem kod Juda. Notiek kit chiemo duto kod pi
For behold, the LORD, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the rod and the staff, the whole support of bread, and the whole support of water,
2 thuondi maroteke kod jolweny, gi jongʼad bura gi jonabi gi jokor wach kod jodongo,
The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 jatend lweny morito ji piero abich gi joma ogen, jongʼad rieko, jopecho molony kod joma olony e wach.
The captain of fifty, and the honorable man, and the counselor, and the skillful artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 Anaket mana yawuowi obed jotendgi, to rawere matindo noritgi.
And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 Ji nosandre kendgi giwegi, ka ngʼato sando mana wadgi owuon bende jogo modak mokiewo nosandre kendgi giwegi. Jomatindo notug lweny gi jomadongo, kendo ji ajiya nocha joma ogen.
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the elder, and the base against the honorable.
6 Ngʼato nochun achiel kuom owetene manie dala wuon-gi kowacho niya, “In ema in-gi lep loch, koro telnwa; kendo ibed gi teko ewi pinywa mokethoreni.”
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, [saying], Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and [let] this ruin [be] under thy hand:
7 To e kindeno ngʼatno nodwoki niya, “Ooyo ok dabed ruodhu, nimar aonge gi chiemo kata lewni e oda madimi uketa abed jatend ogandani.”
In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be a healer; for in my house [is] neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
8 Jerusalem yiengni, bende Juda mukore; wechegi kod timbegi opogore gi dwach Jehova Nyasaye, nimar ok omi duongʼne nenre e diergi.
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings [are] against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 Wangʼ-gi nyiso ni gin joricho kendo richogi oyangore e lela mana ka richo mane ni Sodom, bende gionge gi wichkuot. Yaye, mano kaka ginine malit nikech gisekelo masira kuomgi giwegi.
The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. Woe to their soul! for they have rewarded evil to themselves.
10 Kone joma kare ni gin johawi, nimar giniyud pok kuom tichgi matek.
Say ye to the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him]: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Yaye, mano kaka nobed malit ne joricho nikech masira nobed kuomgi. Enokumgi kuom gik maricho ma lwetgi osetimo.
Woe to the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him]: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 Jomatindo ema thiro joga kendo mon ema jotendgi. Yaye joga, jotendu osewuondou, momiyo ubaro uweyo yo.
[As for] my people, children [are] their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they who lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
13 Jehova Nyasaye osebedo e kom bura mondo ongʼad bura ne oganda.
The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
14 Sa ngʼado bura mar Jehova Nyasaye kuom jodongo kod jotend joge osechopo, kowacho niya, “Un ema useketho puotha mar mzabibu kendo gik ma uyako kukawo e ut joma odhier opongʼo uteu.
The LORD will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their princes: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor [is] in your houses.
15 En angʼo momiyo usando kendo uthiro joga modhier?” Ruoth Nyasaye, ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ema owacho.
What mean ye [that] ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the LORD God of hosts.
16 Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Mond Sayun sungore kendo kawore, gingʼayo ngʼutgi malo, kendo giningʼo wengegi. Bende giwuotho ka gingʼadore, ka gara manie tiendgi ywak.
Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with extended necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 Kuom mano Ruoth Nyasaye biro kelo adhonde ewi mond Sayun, kendo Jehova Nyasaye nomi timbegi mamono nenre ratiro.”
Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will uncover their secret parts.
18 Odiechiengʼno Ruoth Nyasaye biro mayogi gik ma gilichorego kaka: bangli gi kitembini mag wich kod tigo mag ngʼut,
In that day the LORD will take away the show of [their] tinkling ornaments [about their feet], and [their] cauls, and [their] round tires like the moon.
19 gi tigo miliero e it gi bangli mag lwetgi kod kitamba miliero e ngʼut,
The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 gi kitembini mag wich, gi thiwni mag ofunj tielo, gi misip gi chupni motingʼo gik mangʼwe ngʼar kod ris,
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the head-bands, and the tablets, and the ear-rings,
21 gi tere mag lwedo gi mag um,
The rings, and nose-jewels,
22 lewni mayom gi kode gi mifuke mag lwedo,
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping-pins,
23 kod kio, gi lewni mabeyo gi lewni miliero e ngʼut kod mago miumogo wangʼ.
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
24 Kar winjo tik mangʼwe ngʼar to unuwinj mana tik madungʼ marach; kar bedo gi okanda to tol ema nutwerugo; kar bedo gi yie wich molos maber to bondo ema unudongʼ-go; kar bedo gi lewni mabeyo to unurwak mana pien gugru, kar bedo gi wangʼ man-gi chia to adhonde nopongʼ dendu.
And it shall come to pass, [that] instead of sweet smell there shall be an offensive odor; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; [and] burning instead of beauty.
25 Chwou notiek gi ligangla kendo jolweny magu norum e lweny.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.
26 Nduru gi ywak mag dengo nopongʼ dhorongeye mag Sayun, kendo dalano nodongʼ nono kokethore.
And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she [being] desolate, shall sit upon the ground.
