< Isaya 29 >
1 Ariel, Ariel, inine malit, in dala maduongʼ mane Daudi odakie! Meduru dhi nyime ka utimo sewni higa ka higa.
Woe to you, O Ariel, the city of Ariel where David camped! Year upon year let your festivals recur.
2 To kata kamano abiro monjo Ariel mi enobedi gi ywagruok kod kuyo, kendo enochalna mana ka kendo mar misango.
And I will constrain Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation; she will be like an altar hearth before Me.
3 Abiro lwori koni gi koni, mi anagoni agengʼa kendo namonji gi tekona.
I will camp in a circle around you; I will besiege you with towers and set up siege works against you.
4 Nadwoki piny miwuo mana koa ei lowo; kendo wecheni nowuog mana koa ei buru. Dwondi nochal mana ka dwond jachien moa ei lowo; kendo koa ei lowo dwondi nowinji.
You will be brought low, you will speak from the ground, and out of the dust your words will be muffled. Your voice will be like a spirit from the ground; your speech will whisper out of the dust.
5 To jowasiki mangʼeny nochal gi buru mayom, kendo oganda mager nochal gi mihudhwe ma yamo tero. Apoya nono, ka diemo wangʼ,
But your many foes will be like fine dust, the multitude of the ruthless like blowing chaff. Then suddenly, in an instant,
6 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nobi gi mor polo gi yiengni mar piny kod koko maduongʼ, gi ahiti kod kalausi kendo gi mach mager.
you will be visited by the LORD of Hosts with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, with windstorm and tempest and consuming flame of fire.
7 Eka ogendini mag pinje duto makedo gi Ariel, mamonjo kuondege motegno kendo lwore, biro chalo mana ka lek kata ka fweny mar otieno,
All the many nations going out to battle against Ariel— even all who war against her, laying siege and attacking her— will be like a dream, like a vision in the night,
8 mana ka ngʼama kech kayo to leko ni chiemo, to ka ochiewo to oyudo mana ka kech pod kaye, kendo mana kaka ngʼat ma riyo oloyo leko ni modho pi, to ka ochiewo to opodho mana piny ka riyo oloye. E kaka nobedi kuom ogendini mag pinje duto makedo gi Got Sayun.
as when a hungry man dreams he is eating, then awakens still hungry; as when a thirsty man dreams he is drinking, then awakens faint and parched. So will it be for all the many nations who go to battle against Mount Zion.
9 Bed mobuok kendo kiwuoro, dinuru wengeu kendo kik unen, meruru amera to ok gi divai, kendo themburu athemba to ok gi kongʼo.
Stop and be astonished; blind yourselves and be sightless; be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not from strong drink.
10 Jehova Nyasaye osekelo nindo matut kuomu, oseumo wengeu (un jonabi); kendo oseumo wiyeu (un jokor wach).
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes, O prophets; He has covered your heads, O seers.
11 Un to fwenyruokni duto nochalnu mana ka gima nono, mana ka kitabu modin gi duogo. To ka imiyo ngʼato manyalo somo, miwachone niya, “Yie isom kitabuni,” to obiro dwoko niya, “Ok anyal some nikech odine gi duogo.”
And the entire vision will be to you like the words sealed in a scroll. If it is handed to someone to read, he will say, “I cannot, because it is sealed.”
12 Kata ka imiyo ngʼat makia somo miwachone niya, “Yie isomna kitabuni,” to obiro dwoko niya, “Ok angʼeyo somo.”
Or if the scroll is handed to one unable to read, he will say, “I cannot read.”
13 Ruoth Nyasaye wacho niya: Jogi sudo ira mana gi weche manie dhogi kendo gipaka mana gi dhogi kende, to chunygi bor koda. Yo ma gilamago gin mana chike mipuonjo gi dhano.
Therefore the Lord said: “These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men.
14 Kuom mano anachak abwog chuny jogi gi masira bangʼ masira, mi rieko mar jorieko nolal kendo ngʼeyo mar joma ongʼeyo norum.
Therefore I will again confound these people with wonder upon wonder. The wisdom of the wise will vanish, and the intelligence of the intelligent will be hidden.”
15 Ginine malit jogo maparo timo gimoro amora mondo gipandgo timbegi ne Jehova Nyasaye, ma gin joma timo timbegi e mudho ka giparo niya, “Ere ngʼama nenowa? En ngʼa mabiro ngʼeyo?”
Woe to those who dig deep to hide their plans from the LORD. In darkness they do their works and say, “Who sees us, and who will know?”
16 Iloko gik moko ataro, mana ka gima jachwech bende chal gi lowo mochweyo! Bende gima ochwe nyalo wachone jachwechne niya, “Ne ok ichweya?” Koso agulu bende nyalo wachone jachwechne niya, “Onge gima ingʼeyo?”
You have turned things upside down, as if the potter were regarded as clay. Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, “He did not make me”? Can the pottery say of the potter, “He has no understanding”?
17 Kuom ndalo matin kende, donge Lebanon nolok mana ka puodho momewo kendo puodho momewo nochal mana gi bungu?
In a very short time, will not Lebanon become an orchard, and the orchard seem like a forest?
18 E kindeno joma itgi odino nowinj weche manie kitabu, mi joma osebedo kokuyo, kendo manie mudho mandiwa wengegi nonen.
On that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll, and out of the deep darkness the eyes of the blind will see.
19 Joma obolore nochak obed gi mor kuom Jehova Nyasaye; kendo joma ochando, bende nobed gi mor kuom Jal Maler mar Israel.
The humble will increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 Joma timbegi mono nolal nono, jo-jar ji bende nolal nono, kendo jogo duto ma timbegi mono notieki;
For the ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who look for evil will be cut down—
21 gin jogo machiwo neno mar miriambo mondo omi ngʼato onere ni jaketho, kendo mawuondo jangʼad bura mi omi ngʼat maonge ketho tamie adierane.
those who indict a man with a word, who ensnare the mediator at the gate, and who with false charges deprive the innocent of justice.
22 Kuom mano ma e wach ma Jehova Nyasaye, mane oreso Ibrahim wachone od Jakobo ni, Jakobo ok none wichkuot kendo; bende ok ginichak ginenre mokuyo.
Therefore the LORD who redeemed Abraham says of the house of Jacob: “No longer will Jacob be ashamed and no more will his face grow pale.
23 Ka gineno nyithindgi ma tich lweta e kindgi, to gibiro rito nyinga obed maler, kendo gibiro yie kuom ler mar Jal Maler mar Jakobo, kendo gichungʼ e nyim Nyasach Israel gi luor maduongʼ.
For when he sees his children around him, the work of My hands, they will honor My name, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and they will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
24 Joma parogi bayo noyud rieko; kendo joma kwedo wach bende nopuonji.
Then the wayward in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will accept instruction.”
