< Isaya 24 >

1 Neuru Jehova Nyasaye biro ketho piny, mi odongʼ nono, obiro loko kit piny kendo keyo jogo modakie.
Lo! Yahweh emptying the earth and laying it waste, —And he will overturn the face thereof, And scatter them who dwell therein.
2 Notime machalre ne jodolo kata ne joma moko, misumba kata ne ruodhe, ne dhako man-gi jatich kata ne nyako matiyone, ne jahono kata ne jangʼiewo, ne ngʼat ma holo ji, kata ne ngʼat ma holo, ne ngʼat man-gi gowi kata ngʼat ma holo ji.
And it shall be—As the people, so, the priest, As the servant, so his lord, As the maid, so, her mistress, —As the buyer, so, the seller, As the lender, so, the borrower, As the debtor, so! his creditor.
3 Piny nodongʼ gunda kendo nokethre chuth. Jehova Nyasaye ema osewacho wechegi.
Emptied—emptied—shall be the earth yea pillaged—pillaged, —For, Yahweh, hath spoken this word.
4 Piny notwo kendo noner, piny nojwangʼ miner, kendo polo gi piny nojwangʼ.
Mourneth, fadeth, the earth Languisheth, fadeth, the world, —Languished have the lofty of the people of the earth.
5 Piny osedwany gi jok modakie, giseketho chike, gisetamore rito buchene, kendo giseketho winjruok manyaka nene.
Yea the earth itself is profaned under them who dwell therein, —For they have Set aside laws, Gone beyond statute, Broken an age-abiding covenant.
6 Kuom mano kwongʼ osetieko piny kendo joma odakie nyaka yud kum kuom richogi. Omiyo joma odak e piny osewangʼ mi manok ema odongʼ.
For this cause, a curse, hath devoured the earth, And punished are the dwellers therein, —For this cause, are burned the inhabitants of the earth, And the men left remaining—are few.
7 Divai mobi manyien notuwo kendo mzabibu biro ner, ji duto mamiyo ji mor nobed gi chuny lit.
Mourneth the new wine. Withereth the vine, —Sighing are all the merryhearted:
8 Mor mar nyiduonge norum, koko mar joma nigi mor kod ilo nolal, kendo mor mar thum ok nowinji.
Ceased hath the mirth of timbrels, Ended is the noise of the uproarious, —Ceased hath the mirth of the lyre:
9 Ok ginichak gimadh divai ka giwer, nikech kongʼo osebedo marach ne jomath.
With a song, they drink not wine, —Bitter is strong drink, to them who drink it:
10 Dala maduongʼ okethore modongʼ gunda, kendo dhoudi duto olor.
Broken down is the city of desolation, —Shut up every house that it cannot be entered.
11 Ji ywagore e wangʼ yore nikech divai onge, mor duto olokore kuyo, piny duto odongʼ gi lit.
There is an outcry concerning wine in the streets, —Darkened is all joy, Departed the gladness of the earth.
12 Dala maduongʼ odongʼ ka oruombore piny kendo dhorangeye mage otur matindo tindo.
There is left in the city. desolation, —And to ruins, have been broken the gate.
13 Ma notimre e piny ngima e kind ogendini mana kaka ipono olemb zeituni e yath kata mana kaka olemo manok, mag mzabibu dongʼne johulo e yath kosepon.
When, thus, it shall be in the earth in the midst of the peoples, [There shall be] like the shaking of an olive-tree, like the going round to pick when closed is the harvest.
14 Gitingʼo dwondgi malo, ka gigoyo koko gimor koa yo podho chiengʼ, kendo ka gihulo teko mar Jehova Nyasaye.
They, shall lift up their voice—shall raise a tremulous note, —On account of the splendour of Yahweh, have they made a shrill cry, on the West;
15 Omiyo miuru Jehova Nyasaye duongʼ un joma odak e chula mag nam man yo wuok chiengʼ; tingʼuru nying Jehova Nyasaye malo, ma en Nyasach Israel,
For this cause, In the Regions of Light, give ye glory to Yahweh, —In the Coastlands of the Sea, unto the Name of Yahweh. God of Israel,
16 koa e tungʼ piny duto wawinjo wer mawer niya: “Duongʼ odongʼ ne Jal Makare.” To an ne awacho niya, “Aserumo chuth, aserumo chuth! Mano kaka aneno malit! Jandhoko ndhogo ji! Kuom timbe mag andhoga osendhogo ji!”
From the uttermost part of the earth, melodies, have we heard—Beauty, to the righteous one! But I had said—Ruin to me! Ruin to me! Woe to me! Traitors, have betrayed, Yea traitorously, have traitors betrayed!
17 Masira rita, osekunyna bugo kendo obadho osechikna, yaye un oganda modak e piny.
Terror and pit and snare, —are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth!
18 Ngʼama notem ringo kowinjo mahu mar masira nolwar e bur, kendo ngʼama notem wuok e burno nolwar e obadho. Dhorangeye mag polo noyawre, kendo mise mag piny noyiengni.
So shall it be—He that fleeth from the sound of the terror! shall fall into the pit, And, he that getteth up out of the midst of the pit, shall be captured in the snare, —For, the windows on high, have opened, And shaken are the foundations of earth.
19 Piny osebarore, piny oselal nono, kendo piny yiengni malich.
The earth breaketh, breaketh, —The earth crasheth, crasheth, The earth tottereth, tottereth;
20 Piny thembo ka jakongʼo, kendo ohukni ka kiru ma yamo yiengo, kethruok kod timbene mamono omiyo opodho ma ok nochak oa malo.
The earth staggereth—staggereth like a drunken man, And rocketh to and fro like a night-hut, —So shall be heavy upon her, her transgression, And she shall fall and not again rise.
21 E kindeno Jehova Nyasaye nokum teko duto manie polo malo, kaachiel gi ruodhi duto manie piny.
And it shall be in that day, That Yahweh will bring punishment Upon the host of the height in the height, —And upon the kings of the ground on the ground.
22 Nochokgi kaachiel kendo nolornegi mana kaka jo-jela molornegi e od twech kendo nolornegi e od twech, mi giyud kum kuom kinde mangʼeny.
And they shall be swept together in a crowd, fettered for a pit, And shall be lowered into a dungeon, —And, after many days, shall they be punished.
23 Dwe norieny matip-tip kendo wangʼ chiengʼ noimre nikech Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, nogur lochne kod duongʼne e Got Sayun kod Jerusalem e nyim jodongo.
Then shall blush the silvery moon, Then turn pale the glowing sun, —Because Yahweh of hosts hath become king In Mount Zion And in Jerusalem, And before his Elders in glory,
