< Isaya 16 >
1 Kawuru rombe koa Sela kungʼadogo thim mondo uterne ruodh piny, modak e got mar Nyar Sayun kaka gir chiwo.
Send the tribute lambs to the ruler of the land, from Sela in the desert to the mount of Daughter Zion.
2 Mana kaka nyithind winy moketh odgi mafuyo koni gi koni, e kaka mond jo-Moab nodongʼ e kar otuodo manie Aora Arnon.
Like fluttering birds pushed out of the nest, so are the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon:
3 “Ngʼadnwauru rieko, nyiswa gima onego watim. Pandwauru mondo kik yudwa kendo panduru jowa moringo lweny, kendo kik uyie mondo omaki joma oseringo.
“Give us counsel; render a decision. Shelter us at noonday with shade as dark as night. Hide the refugees; do not betray the one who flees.
4 We jo-Moab moringo lweny odag kodu kendo bednegi ragengʼ kuom jakethgi.” Ngʼatno masandogi tekone norum, kendo kethruok notieki; mi jathir ji nolal nono e piny.
Let my fugitives stay with you; be a refuge for Moab from the destroyer.” When the oppressor has gone, destruction has ceased, and the oppressors have vanished from the land,
5 Kuom hera, loch nogur; kuom adiera ngʼato nobedie lojno, ngʼatno nowuogi e od Daudi, ma en ngʼat mangʼado bura kare, kendo ojiwo timbe mag adieri.
in loving devotion a throne will be established in the tent of David. A judge seeking justice and hastening righteousness will sit on it in faithfulness.
6 Wasewinjo sunga mar Moab, kaka otingʼore malo gi wuondruok, kopongʼ gi sunga kod achaya, to dhialruokneno en kayiem nono.
We have heard of Moab’s pomposity, his exceeding pride and conceit, his overflowing arrogance. But his boasting is empty.
7 Kuom mano jo-Moab dengo, gidengo kaachiel nikech Moab. Ywaguru kendo ubed gi lit nikech jo-Kir Hareseth.
Therefore let Moab wail; let them wail together for Moab. Moan for the raisin cakes of Kir-hareseth, you who are utterly stricken.
8 Puothe mag Heshbon ner, kaachiel gi mzabibu mag Sibma. Jotelo mag ogendini oseketho divai mane berie moloyo, mane ndalo moro ochopo nyaka Jazer, kendo olandore nyaka kar ongoro. Bedene nolawore malach mochopo nyaka nam.
For the fields of Heshbon have withered, along with the grapevines of Sibmah. The rulers of the nations have trampled its choicest vines, which had reached as far as Jazer and spread toward the desert. Their shoots had spread out and passed over the sea.
9 Omiyo aywak mana kaka Jazer ywak nikech mzabibu mag Sibma. Yaye Heshbon, yaye Eleale, analuoku gi pi wangʼ. Mor ma un-go nikech olembeu mosechiek kendo nikech keyo maru osetieki.
So I weep with Jazer for the vines of Sibmah; I drench Heshbon and Elealeh with my tears. Triumphant shouts have fallen silent over your summer fruit and your harvest.
10 Mor kod ilo norum chuth e puotheu mag olemo kendo onge wer mano wer kata koko manogo e puotheu mag mzabibu; bende onge ngʼato angʼata manochak obi mzabibu e kuonde mag bicho, nimar asetieko mahu mar mor ma un-go.
Joy and gladness are removed from the orchard; no one sings or shouts in the vineyards. No one tramples the grapes in the winepresses; I have put an end to the cheering.
11 Chunya ywago Moab mana kaywak mar nyatiti, kendo chunya ma iye ywago Kir Hareseth.
Therefore my heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir-heres.
12 Ka Moab ochopo kuonde hembko mag misengini, to ochandore achanda nono; to kata ka odonjo e kare mar lemo, to en mana kayiem nono.
When Moab appears on the high place, when he wearies himself and enters his sanctuary to pray, it will do him no good.
13 Ma e wach ma Jehova Nyasaye nosewacho kuom Moab.
This is the message that the LORD spoke earlier concerning Moab.
14 To sani Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya: Kapok okadho higni adek, mana kaka ja-otongʼo tiyo kaparo hignige adek ma tije rumogo e kaka duongʼ mar Moab kaachiel gi joge mangʼeny duto none achaya, bende joge ma notony nobed manok kendo mayom yom.
And now the LORD says, “In three years, as a hired worker counts the years, Moab’s splendor will become an object of contempt, with all her many people. And those who are left will be few and feeble.”
