< Isaya 10 >

1 Yaye, unune malit un joma loso chike ma ok nikare, un joma keto chike maricho mathiro ji,
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees;
2 utamo joma odhier e adieragi kendo umayo joga ma ochando gik ma onego giyudi, omiyo umayo mon ma chwogi otho kendo uyako gige nyithind kiye.
to deprive the needy of their rights, and to rob the poor among my people of mishpat ·justice·, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the orphans their prey!
3 To initim angʼo chiengʼ ngʼado bura, ka masira nowuog kuma bor? To en ngʼa manuring udhi ire mondo okonyu? Mwandu magu to unuwe kanye?
What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your kavod ·weighty glory·?
4 Onge gima nodongʼ makmana kirni e nyim joma otwe kata podho e lwet janek. Kata ka magi duto osetimore, to mirimbe ok norum kuomgi, kendo pod odhi nyime mana gikumogi.
They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5 Mano kaka unune malit un jo-Asuria, luth ma agoyogo ji ka akecho, en e luth ma akumogo ji ka mirima omaka!
Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!
6 En ema aore, mondo odhi oked gi oganda mokia Nyasaye, achike mondo omonj joma miya mirima, mi oketh mwandugi kendo oyakgi, kendo onyon-gi piny mana ka chwodho minyono e wangʼ yore.
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me will I give him a enjoin to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 To mae ok e gima oparo timo to bende ma ok e gima ni e pache; to dwarone en ketho kendo tieko ogendini mangʼeny.
However he does not mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.
8 Openjo niya, Donge jotenda duto gin ruodhi?
For he says, “Are not all of my princes kings?
9 Donge Kalno osechalo gi Karkemish? Donge Hamath chal mana gi Arpad, kendo Samaria mana ka Damaski?
Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus [Bucket of blood]?”
10 Mana kaka asemako pinyruodhi mag nyiseche manono, ma gin pinyruoth ma kido ma gin-go ngʼeny moloyo mag Jerusalem gi Samaria.
As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem [City of peace] and of Samaria;
11 Donge onego atimne Jerusalem kod nyisechene manono mana kaka asetimone Samaria kod kido mage manono?
shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem [City of peace] and her idols?
12 Ka Ruoth Nyasaye osetieko tijene duto mag kumo Got Sayun gi jo-Jerusalem, enowach niya, “Abiro kumo ruodh Asuria nikech timbene mohero mag sunga gi ngʼayi.
Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] and on Jerusalem [City of peace], I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria [Level plain], and the insolence of his haughty looks.
13 Nikech owacho niya, “‘Kuom teko mar bada kod riekona asetimo ma nikech an-gi winjo matut. Ne aketho tongʼ mag pinje, mi ayako mwandugi mathoth; kendo ka ngʼat maratego ne amako ruodhigo.
For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
14 Mana kaka ngʼato kawo tongʼ e od winyo, e kaka lweta oseyudo kuma mwandu mag pinje nitie; mana kaka ji choko tongʼ modongʼ kendgi, e kaka ne achoko pinje duto, maonge mano mane nyalo kwadho bwombe, kata ngʼamo dhoge mondo oywagi.’”
My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, have I gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
15 To bende le disungre ne ngʼat matongʼo kode, koso musimeno dinyisre ne ngʼat ma ngʼeto kode? Bende arungu digo ngʼato kaonge ngʼama odire, koso okwajo diwuothi kaonge ngʼama osirore kode?
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
16 Kuom mano, Ruoth Nyasaye ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, biro kelo tuo kuom jolwenj Asuria marateke; kendo tuo norew ringregi ka mach.
Therefore the Lord, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his kavod ·weighty glory· a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.
17 Ler mar Israel nolokre mach, Jal Maler margi nolokre mach mangʼangʼni; ei odiechiengʼ achiel kende nowangʼ motiek pep kuthe kod pedo mag ruodh Asuria.
The light of Israel [God prevails] will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
18 Ber mar bungene kod puothene momewo, nowangʼ chuth, mana ka ngʼat matuo ochamo dende motieko.
He will consume the kavod ·weighty glory· of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
19 Kendo yiende mag bungene nodongʼ manok, ma nyathi matin nyalo kwanogi.
The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
20 Chiengʼno jo-Israel manok, ma nyikwa Jakobo mane odongʼ, nowe keto genogi kuom ngʼat mane tiekogi, to gini gen gi chunygi duto mana kuom Jehova Nyasaye, Jal Maler mar Israel.
It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel [God prevails], and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob [Supplanter] will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Adonai, the haKadosh Isra'el [the Holy One of God prevails], in truth.
21 Nyikwa Jakobo manok mane odongʼ noduog ir Nyasaye Maratego.
A remnant will make teshuvah ·complete return·, even the remnant of Jacob [Supplanter], to the mighty God.
22 Yaye jo-Israel kata obedo ni ungʼeny, ka kwoyo manie dho nam, to ji manok kuomu kende ema nodwogi. Nimar oseketo bura makare mabiro tieko ji duto.
For though your people, Israel [God prevails], are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
23 Ruoth Nyasaye, ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, osechano kelo masira mabiro tieko piny duto.
For the Lord, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
24 Kuom mano, ma e gima Ruoth Nyasaye ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho: “Yaye un joga modak Sayun, kik ubed maluor nikech jo-Asuria, kata obedo ni gichwadou gi ludhegi kendo gigoyou gi rungegi kaka jo-Misri ne timo.
Therefore the Lord, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], says “My people who dwell in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt [Abode of slavery] did.
25 Machiegnini mirimba kodu biro rumo kendo koro abiro chomogi tir mondo atiekgi.”
For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”
26 Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nochwadgi gi del, mana kaka e kinde mane ogoyo jo-Midian, e lwanda mar Oreb; kendo enorie ludhe ewi pi mana kaka ne otimo Misri.
Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies] will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian [Strife] at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt [Abode of slavery].
27 E kindeno tingʼ mapek mane joga nigo nogol kuomgi, jok mag-gi nogol e ngʼutgi; kendo jok notur nikech gisebedo machwe.
It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
28 Ne aneno ka gidonjo Ayath, mi gikalo dier Migron; kendo negikawo gigegi Mikmash.
He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
29 Kane giwuotho ka gikalo negiwacho niya, “Otieno ma kawuono wabiro bworo Geba.” Jo-Rama kibaji ogoyo; to Gibea ma jo-dala Saulo joringo dhi.
They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul [Asked for] has fled.
30 Yaye, nyi Galim, gouru nduru! Yaye, Laish chikuru itu! Yaye, Anathoth mar midhiero!
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
31 Jo-Madmena ringo; un jo-Gebim ringuru upondi.
Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32 Kawuono gibiro bworo kambigi Nob; gibiro kwadho bandera, e got mar nyar Sayun, machiegni gi got matin mar Jerusalem.
This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], the hill of Jerusalem [City of peace].
33 Neuru Ruoth Nyasaye ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, biro tieko wasike gi teko maduongʼ. Yiende ma yamo yiengo nongʼadi, to yiende maboyo nolwar piny.
Behold, the Lord, Adonai Tzva'ot [Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies], will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
34 Obiro ngʼado bunge moyugno kod le; bende Lebanon biro podho e nyim, Nyasaye Maratego.
He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.
