Hosea 6
1 “Biuru mondo wadog ir Jehova Nyasaye. Osekidhowa matindo tindo to obiro changowa; osehinyowa to obiro tweyo adhondewa.
“Come, and we turn back to YHWH, For He has torn, and He heals us, He strikes, and He binds us up.
2 Bangʼ ndalo ariyo obiro duogo chunywa to e odiechiengʼ mar adek obiro resowa, mondo omi wadag kode.
He revives us after two days, In the third day He raises us up, And we live before Him.
3 Waluonguru Jehova Nyasaye; wadhiuru nyime gi luongo nyinge. Mana kaka chiengʼ wuok, e kaka obiro wuok; enobi irwa mana ka kodh chwiri, mana ka koth mabiro bangʼ chwiri mamiyo lowo bedo mangʼich.”
And we know—we pursue to know YHWH, His going forth is prepared as the dawn, And He comes in as a shower to us, As spring rain [and] autumn rain to the earth.”
4 “Angʼo madatimni Efraim? Angʼo ma datim kodi, in Juda? Herani chalo gi ongʼwengʼo mar okinyi, kata gi thoo mar okinyi malal nono ka nyango tegno.
“What do I do to you, O Ephraim? What do I do to you, O Judah? Your goodness [is] as a cloud of the morning, And as dew rising early—going.

Therefore I have hewed by prophets, I have slain them by sayings of My mouth, And My judgments go forth to the light.
6 Nimar adwaro ni ukech joweteu, to ok ni uchiwna misango, kendo ngʼeyo Nyasaye ber moloyo misengini miwangʼo pep.
For kindness I desired, and not sacrifice, And a knowledge of God above burnt-offerings.
7 Mana kaka Adam, giseketho singruok mane atimo kodgi, ne ok gibedo jo-adier koda e ndalono.
And they, as Adam, transgressed a covenant, There they dealt treacherously against Me.
8 Gilead en dala machwo ma jo-mahundu odakie, en dala mosechwerie remb ji.
Gilead [is] a city of workers of iniquity, Slippery from blood.
9 Jodolo chalo mana gi jomecho ma pondo ne ji e dir yo, ka girito ngʼat makadho mondo gima. Gineko e yo madhi Shekem, gitimo timbe mahundu makwodo wich.
And as bands wait for a man, A company of priests murder—the way to Shechem, For they have done wickedness.
10 Aseneno gima lich e od Israel. Kanyo Efraim osechiwore ne chode kendo Israel osedwanyore.
In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing, There [is] the whoredom of Ephraim—Israel is defiled.
11 “To un bende jo-Juda kinde ma ingʼadonue bura osechopo. “Abiro gwedho ogandana e kinde manaduogie ka gia e twech,
Also, O Judah, a harvest is appointed to you, In My turning back [to] the captivity of My people!”
