< Jo-Hibrania 7 >

1 Melkizedek mwawuoyo kuomeni ne en ruodh Salem kendo ne en jadolo mar Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo. Noromo gi Ibrahim ka Ibrahim noa e lweny mane oseloyoe ruodhi, mi nogwedhe,
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
2 kendo Ibrahim nomiye achiel kuom apar mar gik moko duto. Tiend nying Melkizedek gin ariyo, mokwongo en ni ruoth makare, kendo mar ariyo en Ruodh Salem tiende ni Ruodh kwe.
to whom also Abraham divided "a tenth part of everything" (being first, by interpretation, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace;
3 Kaka Melkizedek ne onge gi wuon kata min kata anywolane bende ne oonge gi chakruokne kata gikone, En kaka Wuod Nyasaye, kendo tij dolo mare osiko nyaka chiengʼ.
without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.
4 Parieuru duongʼ mane en-go. Kata mana Ibrahim nomiye achiel kuom apar mar gik ma nopeyo!
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the most valuable plunder.
5 Wangʼeyo ni chik dwaro ni mondo nyikwa Lawi ma gin joma tiyo tij dolo ema ochoki achiel kuom apar kuom ogandagi, ma gin owetegi, kata obedo ni owetegigo bende gin nyikwa Ibrahim.
They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest's office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the Law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,
6 Melkizedek-ni ne ok en nyakwar Lawi, to kata kamano Ibrahim jal mane Nyasaye omiyo singruok nochiwone achiel kuom apar kuom gik mane opeyo, kendo nogwedhe.
but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.
7 En gima ongʼere ni ngʼat matin igwedho gi ngʼat maduongʼ.
But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.
8 To korka jodolo mag joka Lawi wayudo ni achiel kuom apar ichoko gi dhano matho; to kuom Melkizedek to wayudo ni achiel kuom apar nochoki gi jal ma ikwano ni ngima, mana kaka ndiko wacho.
Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.
9 Omiyo wanyalo wacho ni ka Ibrahim nochiwo achiel kuom apar to mano nyiso ni kata mana Lawi nyakware ma en ngʼat mane onego yud pok mar achiel kuom apar bende nochiwo pokno,
We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,
10 nikech kindeno noyudo ka Lawi pok onywol, to kata kamano wanyalo wacho nine en ei ringre Ibrahim kwar mare kane Melkizedek oromo gi Ibrahim.
for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.
11 Kapo ni tich dolo mar jo-Lawi nikech chik mane omi jo-Israel notenore kuome ne nyalo miyo dhano doko makare chuth, to koro ere gimomiyo ne pod nitie dwaro mondo oyud jadolo machielo koluwo kit Melkizedek? Angʼo momiyo ne nyaka jadolo mopogore gi Harun yudre?
Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 Nikech wangʼeyo ni ka olok tich dolo to chik bende nyaka loki.
For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.
13 To ngʼat miwacho wechegi kuomeni to noa e dhoot machielo ma ngʼato ne pok oyie mondo oti tich dolo e kendo mar misango.
For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.
14 Nikech ongʼere malongʼo ni Ruodhwa noa e dhood Juda, ma en dhoot ma Musa ne ok owacho gimoro kuom jodolo.
For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.
15 Gima wasewachono medo winjore ka jadolo machielo obiro machalo gi Melkizedek,
This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,
16 En ne ok okete jadolo kaluwore gi chike dhano kata anywola mowuokie, to nokete nikech teko mar ngima maonge gima nyalo ketho.
who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:
17 Nikech Muma timo neno kuome niya, “In Jadolo nyaka chiengʼ koluwo kit dolo mar Melkizedek.” (aiōn g165)
for it is testified, "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek." (aiōn g165)
18 Chik machon-no koro osegol oko nikech onyap kendo oonge gi teko
For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness
19 (nikech chik ne ok nyal keto gimoro kare), kendo koro osekelnwa geno manyien maber moloyo chik machon-no, kendo kuom genono wasudo machiegni gi Nyasaye.
(for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
20 To bende mano ne ok otim maonge kwongʼruok! Jomoko nobedo jodolo maonge kwongʼruok,
Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath,
21 to en to nobedo Jadolo gi kwongʼruok ka Nyasaye nowachone niya, “Jehova Nyasaye osekwongʼore kendo ok nolok pache, osesingore niya, ‘In Jadolo nyaka chiengʼ.’” (aiōn g165)
for they indeed have been made priests without an oath, but he with an oath by him that says of him, "The Lord swore and will not change his mind, 'You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.'" (aiōn g165)
22 Nikech kwongʼruokni, Yesu koro oseguro winjruok manyien gi Nyasaye, ma en singruok maber moloyo machon.
Accordingly Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.
23 Pogruok machielo mwaneno en ni e kit dolo machon, jodolo ne ngʼeny nikech tho nomonogi dhi nyime gi tich dolo;
Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.
24 to nikech Yesu ngima nyaka chiengʼ, tich dolo mare osiko. (aiōn g165)
But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable. (aiōn g165)
25 Kuom mano onyalo waro chuth joma kadho kuome kasudo ir Nyasaye, nikech ongima nyaka chiengʼ mondo okwanegi Nyasaye.
Therefore he is also able to save completely those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.
26 Jadolo maduongʼ ma kamano ema nyalo konyowa nikech oler, oonge ketho, kendo chilo moro onge kuome. Bende Nyasaye osetingʼe mokete kar kende kopoge gi joricho, kendo osetingʼe malo kuma bor moyombo polo.
For such a high priest was indeed fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 En ok ochune ni nyaka otim misango pile pile kaka jodolo madongo mamoko timo, kokuongo gi timo misango mare owuon eka otimo mar joma moko. En to notimo misango ni richogi dichiel kende kane ochiwo ringre owuon.
who does not need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for those of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.
28 Nikech chik keto joma nyap mondo obed jodolo madongo, to weche kwongʼruok mane obiro achien bangʼ chik, noketo Wuowi, makoro oseket kare chuth nyaka chiengʼ. (aiōn g165)
For the Law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the Law appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. (aiōn g165)
