< Jo-Hibrania 5 >

1 Jadolo maduongʼ moro amora iyiero e kind oganda kendo iwale mondo obedo jachungʼ mar oganda kuom weche ma wuoyo kuom Nyasaye, mondo ochiw mich gi misengini migologo richo.
For every high-priest taken from among men, is appointed for the sake of men in things relating to God, that he may offer gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 Onyalo dembo joma kia gi joma orwenyo, nikech en owuon bende nyawo obembe.
who can have due compassion on the ignorant and those that are going astray; seeing he himself also is surrounded with infirmity:
3 Mano emomiyo en bende nyaka ochiw misango ni richone owuon, kaachiel gi richo mag oganda bende.
and for this reason he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifice for sins.
4 Ngʼato ok ketre e duongʼ mar bedo jadolo kende owuon, to Nyasaye ema nyaka luonge mana kaka noluongo Harun bende.
And no one taketh this honor to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was.
5 Omiyo Kristo bende ne ok okawo duongʼ mar bedo jadolo maduongʼ kende owuon. To Nyasaye nowachone niya, “In Wuoda, kawuono asedoko Wuonu.”
So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made an high-priest; but He that said unto Him, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
6 Owacho bende kamachielo niya, “In Jadolo nyaka chiengʼ koluwo kit dolo mar Melkizedek.” (aiōn g165)
As He saith also in another place, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (aiōn g165)
7 E ndalo mane Yesu ngima e pinyni, nolamo kosayo Nyasaye mane nyalo rese e tho, koywak malit kendo ka pi wangʼe chwer, mi Nyasaye nowinjo ywakne nikech dembruokne.
Who in the days of his flesh, offered prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears, to Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in what He feared;
8 Kata obedo ni ne en Wuod Nyasaye to nopuonjore winjo chik Nyasaye nikech sandruok ma noneno,
but though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered: and being thus perfected,
9 kendo bangʼ ka nosekete kare chuth to nodoko wuon warruok mochwere ma ji duto mawinjo wachne yudo. (aiōnios g166)
He became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey Him: (aiōnios g166)
10 Bende Nyasaye nokete jadolo maduongʼ koluwo kit dolo mar Melkizedek.
having been declared by God an high-priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Wan gi weche mathoth ma wanyalo wacho kuom wach ma tiende tekni, to winjo maru ni chien.
Concerning whom we have much to say and difficult to be explained, since ye are become dull of hearing.
12 Chutho, kata obedo ni sani koro onego bed ni un jopuonj, to pod udwaro ngʼat machielo mondo ochak opuonju nonro michako ngʼeyogo adiera mar wach Nyasaye. Kar chamo chiemo motegno to pod umadho chak kende!
For whereas ye ought for the time to be teachers of others, ye have need again of some one to teach you the first rudiments of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not of solid food.
13 To ngʼato angʼata ma madho chak kende pod en nyathi mayom, omiyo oonge gi lony kuom puonj mar tim makare.
For every one that wanteth milk, is unacquainted with the doctrine of justification; for he is an infant:
14 Joma otegno to nyalo chamo chiemo motegno, nikech gisetiyo kodgi amingʼa mi gibedo gi lony mar fwenyo pogruok man e kind ber gi rach.
but firm food is for persons come to age, who by habit have their senses exercised to a discernment both of good and evil.
