< Jo-Hibrania 3 >

1 Emomiyo, owetena maler kendo ma oseluongi gi luong mar polo, keturu pachu duto kuom Yesu, ma en jaote kendo jadolo Maduongʼ mar yie mwahulo.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
2 Notiyo tich mane okete mondo otim gadiera, mana kaka Musa bende notiyo tichne gadiera e od Nyasaye gi chunye duto.
who is faithful to him that appointed him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.
3 To mana kaka jager ot nigi duongʼ moloyo duongʼ mar ot mogero, e kaka Yesu onego omi duongʼ moloyo Musa.
For this man is counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has builded the house, has more honor than the house.
4 Nikech ot ka ot nigi ngʼat mogere, to Nyasaye ema ogero gik moko duto.
For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.
5 Musa notiyo gi adiera e od Nyasaye gi chunye duto, mobedo janeno kuom gik mane ibiro ler tiendgi bangʼe.
And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, to bear testimony to those things which were to be spoken afterward;
6 To Kristo en ja-adiera kaka jatend od Wuon mare. To wan e jood Nyasaye, ka wamako matek chir kod geno ma wan-go.
but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.
7 Kuom mano, mana kaka Roho Maler wacho niya, “Kawuono ka uwinjo dwonde,
Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit says: To-day, if you will hear his voice,
8 to kik chunyu bed mapek, kaka ne utimo e ndalo mane ungʼanyo e kinde mag tem e thim,
harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation, in the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 kama kwereu notemoae gi tem kendo negineno gima ne atimonegi kuom higni piero angʼwen.
where your fathers tried me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Mano emomiyo iya nowangʼ gi tiengʼno kendo nawacho ni, ‘Chuny jogi ohero rwenyo, kendo pok gingʼeyo yorena.’
Where fore, I was angry with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 Omiyo mirima nomaka kodgi, mi nasingora ka akwongʼora ni, ‘Ok ginidonji e yweyona ngangʼ.’”
so that I swore in my anger, They shall not enter into my rest.
12 Owetena neuru ni ubedo motangʼ mondo kik ngʼato kuomu bed gi chuny marach motamore yie mamiyo oweyo Nyasaye mangima.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in apostatizing from the living God.
13 To moloyo ngʼato ka ngʼato mondo ojiw nyawadgi pile pile kapod wan gi kinde miluongo ni Kawuono, mondo kik richo gal ngʼato kuomu mi chunye bed matek.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day, lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Nikech ka wamako geno mane wachakogo matek nyaka giko to wanabed jocham girkeni kaachiel gi Kristo.
For we are partakers of the Christ, if we hold our begun confidence firm to the end;
15 Mano emomiyo owachi niya, “Kawuono ka uwinjo dwonde, to kik chunyu bed mapek, kaka ne utimo e ndalo mane ungʼanyo.”
while it is said, To-day, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation.
16 To gin jomage manowinjo mi ongʼanyone? Donge ne gin ji duto mane Musa otelonegi kogolo Misri?
For some, when they had heard, did bitterly provoke; yet, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Koso gin jomage mane okechogo kuom higni piero angʼwen? Donge nokecho gi joma notimo richo ma ringregi nodongʼ e thim kosetho?
But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18 Gin jomage ma nokwongʼorenegi ni ok ginidonji e kar yweyone, ka ok gin joma notamore winjo wachne?
But to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not?
19 Omiyo waneno ni ne ok ginyal donjo nikech negitamore yie.
And so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
