< Jo-Galatia 1 >

1 An Paulo, andikonu kaka jaote ma ok oor gi teko kata dwaro mar dhano, to mana gi teko mar Yesu Kristo gi Nyasaye Wuora mane ochiere oa kuom joma otho.
To the churches in Galatia, from Paul, an apostle whose commission is not from any human authority and is given, not by human beings, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead;
2 Andikonu kaachiel gi jowete duto man koda, Un kanisa mar jo-Galatia.
and from all the followers of the Lord here.
3 Ngʼwono kod kwe moa kuom Nyasaye Wuonwa kod Ruodhwa Yesu Kristo,
May God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, bless you and give you peace.
4 Yesu nochiwore nikech richowa mondo ogonywa waa e kethruok mag ndalogi, kaluwore gi dwaro mar Nyasachwa kendo Wuonwa. (aiōn g165)
For Christ, to rescue us from this present wicked age, gave himself for our sins, in accordance with the will of our God and Father, (aiōn g165)
5 Duongʼ mondo odogne Nyasaye manyaka chiengʼ. Amin. (aiōn g165)
to whom be ascribed all glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Awuoro ahinya kaka uselokoru piyo piyo nono, mi uweyo Jal mane oluongou kuom ngʼwono mar Kristo, kendo koro uluwo Injili mopogore gi mane opuonju,
I am astonished at your so soon deserting him, who called you through the love of Christ, for a different ‘good news,’
7 ma chutho ok en Injili. Kuom adiera nitie jomoko marundo pachu ka gitemo mondo gilok Injili mar Kristo obed gimoro nono.
which is really no good news at all. But then, I know that there are people who are harassing you, and who want to pervert the good news of the Christ.
8 To ka ngʼato dipuonju Injili machielo mopogore gi mano mane wapuonjou, bed ni en wan, kata malaika moro moa e polo, to mondo okwongʼe nyaka chiengʼ.
Yet even if we – or if an angel from heaven were to tell you any other ‘good news’ than that which we told you, may he be accursed!
9 Mana kaka wasewacho e kaka achako awacho kendo: Ka ngʼato koro yalonu Injili ma opogore gi mane urwako, to Nyasaye mondo okwongʼe nyaka chiengʼ!
We have said it before, and I repeat it now – If anyone tells you a ‘good news’ other than that which you received, may he be accursed!
10 Uparo ni koro adwaro pak moa kuom dhano? Ooyo, adwaro pak moa kuom Nyasaye. Koso uparo ni atemo moro dhano? Kane bed ni pod ne adwaro moro dhano, to dine ok abedo jatich Kristo.
Is this, I ask, trying to conciliate people, or God? Am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I should not be a servant of Christ.
11 Jowetena, adwaro ni mondo ungʼe ni Injili mane ayalonu ok en gimoro ma dhano ema ochuogo.
I remind you, friends, that the good news which I told is no mere human invention.
12 Ne ok ayude kuom dhano moro amora, to bende ne ok opuonjago. Yesu Kristo owuon ema nofwenyona wachno.
I, at least, did not receive it from any human being, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through a revelation made by Jesus Christ.
13 Nyaka bed ni usewinjo kaka ne achal kane pod aluwo kit lemo mar jo-Yahudi, kaka ne asando kanisa mar Nyasaye gi gero mokalo apima, kendo ne atemo mondo atieke chuth.
You heard, no doubt, of my conduct when I was devoted to Judaism – how I persecuted the church of God to an extent beyond belief, and tried to destroy it,
14 Jo-Yahudi mangʼeny ma mbesena ne aloyo kuom lony e kit lemo marwa, kendo ne aketo chunya mar rito chike duto mag kwerena.
and how, in my devotion to Judaism, I surpassed many of my contemporaries among my own people in my intense earnestness in upholding the traditions of my ancestors.
15 To ka Nyasaye, mane owala mi oketa tenge kaka gir tichne kane pok onywola, kendo mane oluonga kuom ngʼwonone, nohero
But when God, who had set me apart even before my birth, and who called me by his love,
16 mondo ofwenyna Wuode, mondo ayal Wach Maber e kind joma ok jo-Yahudi, to ne ok apenjo ngʼato angʼata,
saw fit to reveal his Son in me, so that I might tell the good news of him among the Gentiles, then at once, instead of consulting any human being,
17 kendo ne ok adhi Jerusalem mondo ane jogo mane okuongona bedo joote, to ne adhi moriere tir nyaka e piny jo-Arabu eka bangʼe naduogo Damaski.
or even going up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, I went to Arabia, and came back again to Damascus.
18 To bangʼ higni adek ne adhi nyaka Jerusalem mondo angʼera gi Petro, kendo ne adak kode kuom ndalo apar gabich.
Three years afterward I went up to Jerusalem to make the acquaintance of Peter, and I stayed a fortnight with him.
19 Ne ok aneno kata achiel kuom joote mamoko, makmana Jakobo ma owadgi Ruoth.
I did not, however, see any other apostle, except James, the Master’s brother.
20 Awachonu Adier e nyim Nyasaye ni weche ma andikonugi ok gin miriambo.
(As to what I am now writing to you, I call God to witness that I am speaking the truth).
21 Bangʼe ne adhi e gwenge mag Siria kod Kilikia.
Afterward I went to the districts of Syria and Cilicia.
22 E kindeno kanisa man Judea moyie kuom Kristo ne pok oyanga malongʼo ni an ngʼa.
But I was still unknown even by sight to the Christian churches in Judea;
23 Negisewinjo mana wach niya, “Ngʼat ma yande sandowa bende tinde yalo kuom yie ma notemo ketho e kinde mosekalo.”
all that they had heard was – ‘The man who once persecuted us is now telling the good news of the faith of which he once tried to destroy.’
24 Kendo mano nomiyo gimiyo Nyasaye duongʼ nikech an.
And they praised God for my sake.
