< Wuok 12 >
1 Jehova Nyasaye nowacho ne Musa gi Harun ka gin Misri niya,
Then spake Yahweh, unto Moses and unto Aaron, in the land of Egypt saying—
2 “Dweni ema biro bedonu dwe mokwongo, ma en dwe mokwongo mar hiku.
This month, is, to you, a beginning of months, —the first, it is, to you, of the months of the year.
3 Nyis oganda duto mar Israel ni odiechiengʼ mar apar mar dweni, ngʼato ka ngʼato nyaka gol achiel kuom nyirombe ne joode, nyarombo achiel ne ot ka ot.
Speak ye unto all the assembly of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month, then let them take to them, each man a lamb for his ancestral household, a lamb for a household.
But if the household be too small for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour that is near unto his house take one, according to the number of souls, —each man according to his eating, shall ye number for the lamb.
5 Chiayo ma uyiero nyaka bed madichwo ma ja-higa achiel maonge songa kendo unyalo yierogi kuom rombe kata diek.
A lamb without defect a male a year old, shall yours be, —from the sheep or from the goats, shall ye take it.
6 Neni urito chiayogo nyaka odiechiengʼ mar apar gangʼwen mar dwe, eka oganda jo-Israel duto noyangʼ-gi ka chiengʼ wuok.
So shall it be yours, to keep, until the fourteenth day of this month, —then shall all the convocation of the assembly of Israel slay it between the two evenings.
7 Eka bangʼe to gikaw remo moko kendo giwirgo sirni mag dhoudi kod wi dhoudi.
And they shall take of the blood, and put upon the two door-posts and upon the upper-beam, —upon the houses wherein they are to eat it.
8 E otieno nogo nyaka gicham ringʼo mobul kaachiel gi alode makech kod makati ma ok oketie thowi.
Then shall they eat the flesh, in the same night, —roast with fire, and with unleavened cakes, with bitter herbs, shall they eat it.
9 Kik ucham ringʼo manumu kata motedi gi kado to nyaka ubul lemb chiayogo; wich, tielo kaachiel gi jamb-ich.
Do not eat of it underdone, nor cooked by boiling in water, —but roast with fire, its head with its legs, and with its inward parts.
10 Kik uwe lemo moro dongʼ ma ok uchamo nyaka okinyi; to kapo nono moro odongʼ to nyaka wangʼe e mach chuth.
And ye shall let nothing thereof remain until morning, —but that which is left remaining until morning, in the fire shall ye consume.
11 Ma e kaka onego uchame: Ka utweyo okanda enungou, ka urwako wuoche e tiendu kendo umako luth e lwetu; nyaka une ni uchame piyo nikech en sawo mar Pasaka mar Jehova Nyasaye.
And, thus, shall ye eat it, —your loins, girded, your sandals, on your feet, and, your staff, in your hand, —so shall ye eat it in haste, it is Yahweh’s, passing over.
12 “E otienono abiro wuotho e piny Misri duto kendo naneg nyathi ka nyathi madichwo makayo mar dhano kod chiayo, bende nakum nyiseche duto mag jo-Misri, an Jehova Nyasaye ema awacho kamano.
I will pass along, therefore, throughout the land of Egypt this night, and will smite every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man even to beast, —and against all the gods of Egypt, will I execute judgments—I, Yahweh.
13 Remono nobed kido mar ranyisi makende manyiso kuma udakie kendo ka aneno remogo to anakadhu. Masiche ma agoyogo piny Misri ok nomaku.
Then shall the blood serve you for a sign, on the houses wherein ye are, then will I behold the blood, and will pass over you, —and there shall be among you no plague to destroy, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 “Ma en odiechiengʼ manyaka upar ne tiengeu duto mabiro kendo nyaka urite ka sawo mochwere ni Jehova Nyasaye.
So shall this day serve you for a memorial, and ye shall celebrate it, as a festival to Yahweh, —to your generations—as an age-abiding statute, shall ye celebrate it.
15 Kuom ndalo abiriyo nyaka ucham makati ma ok oketie thowi. Odiechiengʼ mokwongo nyaka ugol oko thowi ma ukano e ute, nikech ngʼato angʼata ma ochamo gimoro amora ma oted gi thowi chakre chiengʼ mokwongo nyaka chiengʼ mar abiriyo to nongʼad kare oko kuom oganda jo-Israel.
Seven days, unleavened cakes, shall ye eat, surely, on the first day, shall ye put away leaven, out of your houses, —for whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of Israel, from the first day, unto the seventh day.
16 Chiengʼ mokwongo kod chiengʼ mar abiriyo nyaka ubed gi chokruok mowal. Kik utim tich moro amora kuom odiechiengego makmana loso chiemo ma ji duto chamo; mano kende e gima unyalo timo.
Both on the first day, a holy convocation, and on the seventh day—a holy convocation, shall there be to you, —no work, shall be done therein, save only what must be eaten by every soul, that alone, shall be done by you.
17 “Nyaka utim Sawo mar makati ma ok oketie thowi, nikech chiengʼno ema ne agoloue piny Misri. Timuru nyasini odiechiengni kaka sawo mochwere ne tiengeu duto mabiro.
So then ye shall observe the unleavened cakes, because on this self-same day, brought I forth your hosts out of the land of Egypt, —so then ye shall observe this day to your generations, as a statute age-abiding,
18 Chakre odhiambo mar tarik apar gangʼwen nyaka odhiambo mar tarik piero ariyo gachiel mar dwe mokwongo nyaka ucham makati ma ok oketie thowi.
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, shall ye eat unleavened cakes, —until the one-and-twentieth day of the month in the evening,
19 Kuom ndalo abiriyo thowi moro amora kik yud e uteu, kendo ngʼato angʼata mochamo gimoro amora moketie thowi nyaka ngʼad kare oko kuom oganda jo-Israel, bed ni en japiny moro kata ja-Israel.
For seven days, leaven, shall not be found in your houses, —for, whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of the assembly of Israel, whether sojourner or native of the land.
20 Kik ucham gima olos gi thowi. Kamoro amora mudakie nyaka une ni uchamo makati ma ok oketie thowi.”
Nothing leavened, shall ye eat, —in all your dwellings, shall ye eat unleavened cakes.
21 Eka Musa noluongo jodong Israel duto mowachonegi niya, “Dhiuru mondo ngʼato ka ngʼato oyier nyarombo kata nyadiel ne joode kendo uyangʼ-gi ka utimogo Pasaka.
So then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, —Proceed and take for yourselves one of the flock according to your families, and slay the passover.
22 Eka ukaw oboke mag raywechi ulute remo mar chiayono manie karaya kendo ukir moko ewi sirni mag dhoudi, to moko ukir e sirni mag dhoutu koni gi koni. Kik ngʼato angʼata kuomu wuog oko mar dhoot nyaka okinyi.
Then shall ye take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and strike the upper beam and the two door-posts, with the blood which is in the basin, —and, ye, shall not go forth any man out of the entrance of his house, until morning,
23 Ka Jehova Nyasaye biro wuotho e piny Misri duto mondo oneg jo-Misri, to obiro neno remo ewi reru kod e bath dhoutu kendo nokal dhoudigo, ok noyie ne janek mondo odonj e uteu mondo onegu.
And Yahweh will pass along to plague the Egyptians, and when he beholdeth the blood upon the upper beam and upon the two door-posts, then will Yahweh pass over the entrance, and not suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to inflict on you the plague.
24 “Rituru wechegi kaka chike mochwere nyaka ne tienge mabiro.
And ye shall observe this thing, —for a statute to thee and to thy sons unto times age-abiding.
25 Ka udonjo e piny ma Jehova Nyasaye biro miyou kaka ne osingorenu, to neuru ni utimo nyasi mar sawoni.
And so it shall come to pass when ye shall enter into the land which Yahweh will give you as he hath spoken, —and ye shall observe this service;
26 Kendo ka nyithindu nopenju gima tiend sawoni en,
and it shall come to pass that your sons shall say unto you, —What is this your service?
27 to nyisgiuru ni, ‘En misango mar Pasaka mitimo ni Jehova Nyasaye, nikech nokadho ut jo-Israel e piny Misri konego jo-Misri to oweyo miechwa.’” Eka ji nopodho auma molamo Jehova Nyasaye.
Then shall ye say—A passover sacrifice, it is to Yahweh, who passed-over the houses of the sons of Israel, in Egypt, when he plagued the Egyptians but our houses, he delivered. Then did the people bend their heads and bow themselves down.
28 Jo-Israel notimo mana kaka Jehova Nyasaye nochiko Musa kod Harun.
And the sons of Israel went their way and did, —as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.
29 E dier otieno tir Jehova Nyasaye nonego nyithindo ma yawuowi makayo duto mag jo-Misri, kochakore gi kach ruoth Farao mane ni e kom duongʼ nyaka kach joma ni e od twech, kaachiel gi nyithindo makayo duto mag jamni.
And it came to pass, at midnight, that Yahweh, smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat upon his throne, unto the firstborn of the captive who was in the pit of his prison, —and every firstborn of beasts.
30 Farao kaachiel gi jodonge kod jo-Misri duto nochiewo e dier otieno kendo ne nitie ywak maduongʼ e piny Misri, nikech ne onge ot moro amora e piny Misri mane ngʼato ok othoe.
Then rose up Pharaoh by night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians, and there arose a great outcry throughout Egypt, —for there was not a house, where there was not one dead.
31 E otienono Farao ne oluongo Musa kod Harun mowachonegi niya, “Wuoguru gi jo-Israel piyo mondo uwe joga mondo udhi ulam Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu kaka usekwayo.
So he called for Moses and for Aaron by night and said—Rise ye, go forth out of the midst of my people, both ye and the sons of Israel, —and go serve Yahweh according to your word;
32 Kawuru jambu kod kweth mag dhou mondo udhigo kaka usewacho kendo an bende lemnauru mondo ayud gweth.”
also, your flocks and your herds, take ye, as ye spake and go your way, —so shall ye bless, even me.
33 Jo-Misri nokwayo jo-Israel mondo owuog owe pinygi piyo kagiwacho niya, “Ka ok uwuok to waduto wabiro tho!”
And the Egyptians became urgent with the people, to send them in haste out of the land, —for they said—We all, are dying.
34 Kuom mano jo-Israel nokawo mogo modwal mapok oketie thowi kendo negitingʼogi e gokgi e sufuriache ka giboyogi gi sukni.
So the people took up their dough, ere yet it was leavened, —with their kneading-bowls, bound up in their mantles on their shoulders,
35 Jo-Israel notimo kaka Musa ne ochikogi kendo ne gikwayo jo-Misri lewni kod gik molos gi fedha kod dhahabu.
And the sons of Israel, did according to the word of Moses, —and asked of the Egyptians, articles of silver and articles of gold and mantles.
36 Jehova Nyasaye nomiyo jo-Misri otimo ngʼwono ne jo-Israel kendo ne gimiyogi gimoro amora mane gikwayogi; kamano e kaka jo-Israel noyako gige jo-Misri.
And Yahweh, gave the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians and they gave them gladly, —so they spoiled the Egyptians.
37 Jo-Israel nowuok Rameses kochomo Sukoth; ne gin ji madirom alufu mia auchiel ka ok okwan mon kod nyithindo.
Then did the sons of Israel break up from Rameses, towards Succoth, —about six hundred thousand foot of men grown, besides little ones.
38 Oganda mamoko mathoth bende nodhi kodgi kaachiel gi kweth mangʼeny mag chiayo ma gin jamni kod kweth mangʼeny mag dhok.
Moreover also, a mixed multitude, came up with them, —flocks also, and herds, exceeding much cattle,
39 Ne gitedo makati ma ok oketie thowi gi mogo modwal mane giago e piny Misri. Ne ok oketie thowi nikech ne oriembgi gia e piny Misri apoya kendo ne ok giyudo thuolo kata mar tedo chiemo mane ginyalo chamo e kor yo.
Then baked they the dough which they had brought out of Egypt—into round unleavened cakes for it had not been leavened, —for they had been driven out of Egypt and could not tarry, and indeed no provisions, had they made ready for themselves.
40 Jo-Israel nodak e piny Misri kuom higni mia angʼwen gi piero adek.
Now, the time during which the sons of Israel dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41 Chiengʼ mane higni mia angʼwen gi piero adekgo orumo ema ne oganda Jehova Nyasaye duto owuokie piny Misri.
And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, yea it came to pass, on this self-same day, that all the hosts of Yahweh had come forth out of the land of Egypt.
42 Ne en otieno mane Jehova Nyasaye oritogie mondo ogolgie piny Misri. Otieno onogono en otieno moket mondo jo-Israel duto obed kaparo Jehova Nyasaye nyaka ne tienge mabiro.
A night of solemn observances, it is unto Yahweh, for bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt, —this same night, pertaineth to Yahweh, for solemn observances by all the sons of Israel to their generations.
43 Jehova Nyasaye nowacho ne Musa gi Harun niya, “Magi e chike monego urit ka utimo Pasaka. “Jopinje mamoko kik chame.
And Yahweh said unto Moses and Aaron: This, is the statute of the passover, —No stranger, shall eat thereof;
44 Misumba moro amora mungʼiewo nyalo chame to mana bangʼ kusetere nyangu,
but, every man’s servant bought with silver, —when thou hast circumcised him, then, shall he eat thereof:
45 to wendo moro mobuoro iru kata jatichu ok onego chame.
An alien or a hireling, shall not eat thereof.
46 “Ring chiayo mar misango nyaka cham mana e ot achiel, kik lemo kata achiel gol oko mar odno kendo kik utur choke moro amora.
In one house, shall it be eaten, thou shalt not take forth out of the house any of the flesh outside; and a, bone thereof, shalt thou not break.
47 Oganda duto mar jo-Israel nyaka tim sawoni.
All the assembly of Israel, shall keep it.
48 “Koponi nitie japiny moro modak e dieru modwaro timo ne Jehova Nyasaye Pasaka, to en kaachiel gi joge machwo nyaka tergi nyangu, eka onyalo riwore kodu e timo sawoni bangʼe nokwane kaka achiel kuom jo-Israel. Onge ngʼato angʼata madichwo ma ok oter nyangu ma oyiene chamo sawo mar Pasakani.
And when there may sojourn with thee a sojourner who may wish to keep a passover to Yahweh, there must be circumcised to him every male and then, may he draw near to keep it, so shall he be as a native of the land, —but no uncircumcised male, shall eat thereof.
49 Chikni oket ne jo-Israel duto gi jopinje mamoko duto machalre.”
One law, shall there be for the native, and for the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst.
50 Jo-Israel duto notimo gik moko duto mane Jehova Nyasaye ochiko Musa gi Harun,
Thus did all the sons of Israel, —as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.
51 mi chiengʼno ema Jehova Nyasaye nogolo jo-Israel e piny Misri kochan-gi e dhoutgi.
And it came to pass, on this self-same day, that Yahweh brought forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts.
