Jo-Efeso 4
1 Emomiyo akwayou, an ngʼat motwe nikech tich Ruoth, mondo udag dak mowinjore gi luong ma Nyasaye noluongoue.
I therefore, a prisoner for the sake of the Lord, exhort you to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all humility and meekness;
2 Kinde duto beduru joma muol chutho, modimbore, kendo ma hore mos ka ukawo tingʼ joweteu kuom hera.
and with long-suffering forbear one another in love,
3 Temuru duto munyalo mondo urit achiel mar Roho ka usiko e kwe moriwou kaachiel.
endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: for there is but one body and one Spirit,
4 Nitie ringruok achiel kod Roho achiel, mana kaka ne un e geno achiel kane oluongu,
even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 bende wan gi Ruoth achiel, yie achiel, gi batiso achiel;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 Nyasaye achiel kendo Wuon ji duto, en moloyo duto kendo en ema otiyo kuom duto.
one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all.
7 Kristo, kaluwore gi dwarone, osemiyo ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomwa ngʼwono.
But grace is given to each of us, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Mano emomiyo Ndiko wacho niya, “Kane oidho odhi malo, nodhi kotelo ni joma nomako e lweny, kendo nomiyo ji mich.”
Wherefore it is said, "When he ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."
9 (To ere tiend wachni, “Nine oidho?” Donge onyiso ni nolor bende mwalo e bwo piny?
Now this expression "He ascended" what does it mean, but that He descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 Omiyo Jalno mane olor bende ema noidho malo kuma bor moyombo polo duto, mondo opongʼ piny duto gi duongʼne.)
He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
11 En bende ema nochiwo mich ni ji koyiero jomoko mondo obedi joote, to jomoko jonabi, to moko joland Injili, to jomoko jokwath gi jopuonj,
And therefore He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; to qualify holy men for the work of the ministry,
12 mondo gitieg jo-Nyasaye duto obed molony kuom tiyo tich Kristo, eka ringre Kristo ogerre,
to the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 nyaka chop wan duto wabed achiel e yie mawan-go kuom Wuod Nyasaye kendo wamed ngʼeye chutho. Kamano otimore eka wanabed joma otegno chutho, kendo wanachop e rangʼiny mogik kuom Kristo.
till we all arrive in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at perfect maturity, even to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
14 Koro ok wanachak wabed kaka nyithindo mayom yom, ma bagni koni gi koni nikech yamb puonj mayoreyore, ma dhano molal siekogo mondo giwuondwago kendo gigolwago oko e yie madiera.
That we may be no longer children fluctuating and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the artful insinuations of men, and their crafty methods of deceiving;
15 To wanasiki ka wawacho adiera e hera kendo ka wadongo e gik moko duto kuom Kristo ma en ewi ringruok.
but holding the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, who is the head, even Christ:
16 Kuome ema ringruok duto ochomore, leche omakore gi fuoni ka fuoni, kendo ka fuoni moro ka moro tiyo tichne kaka dwarore. Kuom mano ringruok dongo kendo gerore kuom hera.
from whom the whole body being fitly joined together and compacted by the aid of every joint, according to the operation proportioned to every part, maketh an increase to the edification of itself in love.
17 Kuom mano, awachonu ka aramo kuom Ruoth, ni neuru ni ok uwuothi kaka jopiny makia Nyasaye wuotho ka pachgi modinore wuondogi.
This I say therefore, and charge you in the name of the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk,
18 Gin mudho odino pachgi, momiyo gipogore gi ngima mar Nyasaye nikech kia margi mawuok e chunygi.
in the vanity of their mind, darkened in their understanding, and alienated from the life of God, through the ignorance that is in them, by reason of the hardness of their heart:
19 Kaka parogi mar pogo ber gi rach osetho, koro giwere ni anjawo kod timbe duto ma ok ler ma gigombo timo.
who, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to commit all uncleanness with greediness.
20 Un to, ne ok ungʼeyo Kristo e yo machal kamano.
But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 Adier, ne uwinjo kuome, kendo ne opuonju wachne, kaluwore gadiera man kuom Yesu.
if ye have indeed hearkened to Him, and been instructed in Him, as the truth is in Jesus; to put off the old man,
22 Ne opuonju mondo uwe kit ngimau machon kendo ulony dhano machon makelo kethruok nikech gombo maricho mag wuond.
which according to your former conversation was corrupted with deceitful lusts,
23 Mano notimore mondo chunyu maiye mar parou oloki obed manyien,
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 kendo mondo urwakru gi dhano manyien, mochwe mondo ochal gi Nyasaye kuom ngima makare mar adier kendo maler.
and to put on the new man, which according to the image of God is created in righteousness, and true holiness.
25 Emomiyo, ngʼato ka ngʼato kuomu nyaka we miriambo duto kendo wach adiera ne nyawadgi, nikech wan duto wan fuond ringruok achiel.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak ye every one truth to his neighbor; for we are all members of one society.
26 “Kaponi iu owangʼ, to kik utim richo.” Kik uwe chiengʼ podhi ka pod un gi ich wangʼ
Be angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath;
27 kendo kik imi jachien thuolo mar loyi.
and give not the devil room to ensnare you.
28 Ngʼato ma yande kwalo nyaka koro we kuo chuth, to nyaka oti tich gi lwete owuon mondo okonyrego kendo okony bende joma moko mochando.
Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, doing some good with his hands, that he may have something to bestow on him that hath need of it.
29 Kik uyie weche maricho wuogi e dhou, to mana weche mabeyo manyalo konyo kuom gero ji kaluwore gi dwarogi mondo wecheu okony joma winjo.
Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth; but what is good to useful edification, that it may benefit the hearers.
30 Bende kik umi Roho Maler mar Nyasaye chuny lit nikech en ema Nyasaye osemiyougo kaka ranyisi ni noresu chiengʼ resruok.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed to the day of redemption.
31 Weuru kecho gi mirima gi ich wangʼ gi gwandruok gi himruok gi ketho nying kod himruok duto.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another,
32 Beduru mangʼwon kendo gi kech ni joweteu, ka ngʼato ka ngʼato weyo ni nyawadgi richone, mana kaka un bende Nyasaye noweyonu richou kuom Kristo.
tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.
