Jo-Efeso 2
1 Un to ne utho e timbeu ma ok kare kod richou,
and also you, he filleth, who were dead in your sins, and in your offences,
2 mane udakie ka uluwo timbe piny, kod timbe ruodh pinyni man-gi loch e kor polo, ma bende tekone tiyo e chuny joma ok winj wach Nyasaye. (aiōn g165)
in the which ye before walked, according to the worldliness of this world, and according to the pleasure of the prince potentate of the air, that spirit which is active in the children of disobedience: (aiōn g165)
3 Adier, chon waduto ne wachal kodgi, ka watimo gik mangima mar dhano dwaro, kendo waluwo gombo kod paro mag ringruok. Wan bende, e kitwa, mana kaka ji mamoko, ne wan e bwo mirima.
in which deeds we also, formerly, were conversant, in the cravings of our flesh; and we did the pleasure of our flesh, and of our mind, and were altogether the children of wrath, like the rest.
4 To kuom hera maduongʼ mane Nyasaye oherowago kod kechne mogundho,
But God who is rich in his mercies, because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 nomiyo wabedo mangima kuom Kristo, kata obedo ni ne watho nikech kethowa, osewaru kuom ngʼwono.
when we were dead in our sins, quickened us with the Messiah, and rescued us by his grace;
6 Kendo Nyasaye nochierowa gi Kristo, momiyo wabet kode e duongʼ mar polo ei Kristo Yesu,
and resuscitated us with him, and seated us with him in heaven, in Jesus the Messiah:
7 mondo eka onyisgo tienge duto mabiro mwandu mar ngʼwonone mokalo apima, ma wabiro yudo kuom kech mosekechowago kuom Kristo Yesu. (aiōn g165)
that he might show to the coming ages the magnitude of the riches of his grace, and his benignity towards us in Jesus the Messiah. (aiōn g165)
8 Nikech kuom ngʼwono, useyudo warruok kuom yie, to ok nikech tim maber moro amora musetimo. En mich ma Nyasaye chiwo nono,
For it is by his grace we are rescued, through faith; and this is not of yourselves, but it is the gift of God:
9 ok kuom tich ngʼato maber, mondo mi ngʼato kik sungre.
not of works, lest any one glory.
10 Mano timore nikech wan chwech Nyasaye, manochweyo kuom Kristo Yesu mondo otim timbe mabeyo, ma Nyasaye owuon ema nosechano chon mondo watim.
For we are his creation; who are created in Jesus the Messiah, for good works, which God hath before prepared for us to walk in.
11 Kuom mano paruru ni chon ne un joma ok jo-Yahudi kuom nywol kendo ne iluongou ni “joma ok oter nyangu” gi jogo maluongore ni “oter nyangu” (mano motim e ringruok gi lwet ji);
Wherefore be mindful, that ye formerly were carnal Gentiles; and ye were called the uncircumcision, by that which is called the circumcision, and which is the work of the hands in the flesh.
12 paruru bende ni kindeno ne upogoru gi Kristo, kendo ne uonge e kanyakla mar jo-Israel, bende ne un welo kuom singruok mar winjruok, ne uonge kata gi geno kuom Nyasaye e pinyni.
And ye were, at that time, without the Messiah; and were aliens from the regulations of Israel; and strangers to the covenant of the promise; and were without hope, and without God, in the world.
13 To koro, kuom Kristo Yesu, un ma yande un mabor, koro osekelu machiegni kuom remb Kristo.
But now, by Jesus the Messiah, ye who before were afar off, have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.
14 Kristo owuon e kwe marwa, nikech oseriwo jo-Yahudi gi joma ok jo-Yahudi obedo gimoro achiel kochiwo ringre owuon kendo osemuko ohinga mar sigu mane opogowa,
For he is himself our peace, who hath made the two become one, and hath demolished the wall which stood in the midst, and the enmity, by his flesh;
15 kosetieko chike kod dwarone duto e ringre. Notimo kamano mondo ochwe dhano achiel manyien kuome owuon, kar ji ariyogo, mondo okelgo kwe,
and by his prescriptions he hath abolished the law of ordinances; that, in himself, he might make the two to be one new man; and he hath made peace,
16 kendo kuom ringruok achielni oriwgo ogendini ariyogi gi Nyasaye kuom msalaba mane oketho sigu mane ni e kindgi.
and hath reconciled both with God, in one body, and hath slain the enmity by his cross.
17 Nobiro moyalo kwe ne un mane un mabor, kendo oyalo kwe ni jogo mane ni machiegni.
And he came, and proclaimed peace to you afar off, and to those near:
18 Nikech kuome waduto koro wan gi yo mwachopogo ir Wuoro, kuom Roho achiel.
because, by him there is access for us both, by one Spirit, unto the Father.
19 Emomiyo, koro ok un welo kata jodak, to un oganda achiel gi jomaler duto, kendo jood Nyasaye,
Wherefore, ye are not strangers, nor sojourners, but ye are fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
20 moger e mise achiel mar joote gi jonabi; ka Kristo Yesu owuon e rariw.
And ye are built upon the foundations of the legates and the prophets; and Jesus the Messiah hath become the head of the corner in the edifice.
21 Kuome ema gedo duto oriwore kaachiel kendo dongo mibed hekalu maler man kuom Ruoth.
And in him all the edifice is framed together, and groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;
22 Kendo kuome ema un bende igeroue kaachiel mondo udok kar dak mar Nyasaye kuom Rohone.
while ye also are builded in him, for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
