1 Nitiere kinde mar gimoro amora, kod thuolo mitimoe tich moro ka moro e bwo polo:
To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 kinde mar nywol kod kinde mar tho, kinde mar pitho kod kinde mar putho,
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;
3 kinde mar nek kod kinde mar chang, kinde mar muko kod kinde mar gero,
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 kinde mar kuyo kod kinde mar mor, kinde mar ywak kod kinde mar miel,
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 kinde mar keyo kite kod kinde mar chokogi, kinde mar kwakruok kod kinde mar weyo kwakruok,
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 kinde mar dwaro gimoro kod kinde ma gimoro lalie, kinde mar kano gimoro kod kinde mar wito gimoro,
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 kinde mar yiecho gimoro kod kinde mar twangʼo, kinde mar lingʼ kod kinde mar wuoyo,
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 kinde mar hera kod kinde mar sin, kinde mar lweny kod kinde mar kwe.
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 En ohala mane ma jatich yudo kuom tich matek?
What profit hath he that worketh in that in which he laboreth?
10 Aseneno tingʼ mapek ma Nyasaye oseketo kuom ji.
I have seen the labor, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 Oseketo gik moko duto obedo maber e kindegi. Oseketo ngima mochwere e chuny ji; kata kamano ok ginyal paro matut gima Nyasaye osetimono aa chakruok nyaka giko.
He hath made every [thing] beautiful in its time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 Angʼeyo ni onge gino maber ne ji moloyo bedo mamor kendo mondo gitim maber kapod gingima.
I know that [there is] no good in them, but for [a man] to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 Wan duto wanyalo chiemo kendo metho, kendo wabed mamor e tijewa. Ma en mich moa kuom Nyasaye.
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it [is] the gift of God.
14 Angʼeyo ni gimoro amora ma Nyasaye timo osiko manyaka chiengʼ, onge gima inyalo mede kata inyalo gol kuome. Nyasaye timo kamano mondo omi ji oluore.
I know that, whatever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be added to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth [it], that [men] should fear before him.
15 Mantiere sani nosebedo, kendo mano mabiro bedo nosebedo chon; kendo Nyasaye biro kelo gik machon e kar ngʼado bura.
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 Kendo ne aneno gimachielo e bwo wangʼ chiengʼ: Kama adiera gi ngʼado bura makare onego bedie, to richo ema bedoe.
And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, [that] wickedness [was] there; and the place of righteousness, [that] iniquity [was] there.
17 Ne aparo e chunya niya, “Nyasaye biro ngʼado bura ni jo-ratiro kaachiel gi joma richo, nikech gimoro ka gimoro ni kod sane.”
I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked: for [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work.
18 Bende ne achako aparo niya, “Nyasaye temo dhano mondo gine ni gichalo gi le.
I said in my heart concerning the state of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19 Giko mar dhano gi le en ni gimoro achiel ochomogi duto machalre. Kaka achiel tho e kaka machielo bende. Giduto giyweyo machalre; dhano ok winj maber maloyo le. Gik moko duto onge tiendgi.
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yes, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no pre-eminence above a beast: for all [is] vanity.
20 Giduto gidhi kamoro achiel; giduto gia e lowo, kendo giduto gidok e lowo.
All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
21 En ngʼa mongʼeyo ka chuny dhano dum dhi malo to chuny le ridore dhi e lowo?”
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22 Omiyo ne aneno ni onge gima ber ni dhano moloyo tichne, nikech mano e pokne. Kare en ngʼa manyalo keche mondo one gima biro timorene bangʼe kosetho?
Wherefore I perceive that [there is] nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that [is] his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
