1 Musa kod jodong Israel duto ne ochiko oganda niya, “Rituru chikegi ma amiyou kawuono
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people saying, —Observe all the commandment which I am commanding you to-day.
2 Ka usengʼado aora Jordan ma uchopo e piny ma Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu miyou, keturu kite moko kendo uwirgi maber.
So then it shall be in the day when ye shall pass over the Jordan, into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, —that thou shalt rear thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster;
3 Ndikuru kuomgi weche duto manie chike ka usengʼado ma uchopo e piny ma Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu miyou ma en piny mopongʼ gi chak kod mor kich, mana kaka Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasach kwereu nosingonu.
and shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou shalt pass over, —to the end that thou mayest enter upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh the God of thy fathers hath spoken unto thee.
4 Ka usengʼado aora Jordan, chunguru kitegi e Got Ebal mana kaka achikou kawuono ka uwirogi maber.
So then it shall be when ye shall pass over the Jordan, that ye shall rear up these stones which I am commanding you to-day in Mount Ebal, —and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.
5 Geruru kendo mar misango ne Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu, ma en kendo mar misango molos gi kite. Kitego kik paa gi chuma.
And thou shalt build there an altar unto Yahweh thy God, —an altar of stones, thou shalt not wield thereupon any tool of iron.
6 Geruru kendo mar misango mar Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu gi kite ma ok opa, kendo utim misango miwangʼo pep kanyo ne Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu.
Of whole stones, shalt thou build the altar of Yahweh thy God, —then shalt thou cause to go up thereon ascending-sacrifices, unto Yahweh thy God;
7 Timuru misengini mag lalruok kanyo, ka uchiemo kendo ubedo gi mor e nyim Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu.
and thou shalt sacrifice peace-offerings and shalt eat there, —and rejoice before Yahweh thy God.
8 Kendo ndikuru weche duto mag chikni mochanore e kite ma usechungono.”
And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law doing it plainly and well.
9 Eka Musa kod jodolo ma gin jo-Lawi nowachone jo-Israel duto niya, “Lingʼuru, yaye Israel, bende chikuru itu! Koro usebedo jo-Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu.
And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel saying, —Keep silence and hear O Israel, This day, hast thou been made a people unto Yahweh thy God.
10 Luor Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachi kendo mondo iluw chikene kod buchene ma amiyi kawuono.”
Thou shalt therefore hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, —and do his commandments and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day.
11 E odiechiengʼ onogono Musa nochiko oganda kowachonegi niya,
And Moses commanded the people on that day, saying:
12 Ka usengʼado aora Jordan, to dhoudigi nobi e Got Gerizim mondo gigwedh ji: Simeon, Lawi, Juda, Isakar, Josef kod Benjamin.
These, shall stand to bless the people upon Mount Gerizim, when ye have passed over the Jordan, —Simeon and Levi and Judah, and Issachar and Joseph and Benjamin;
13 Kendo dhoudigi nochungʼ e Got Ebal ka gihulo weche mag kwongʼ: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan kod Naftali.
and, these, shall stand by the curse in Mount Ebal, —Reuben Gad and Asher, and Zebulun Dan and Naphtali.
14 Jo-Lawi biro somone jo-Israel gi dwol maduongʼ niya,
Then shall the Levites respond and say unto every man of Israel with voice uplifted: —
15 “Okwongʼ ngʼat moloso kido milamo, kata nyiseche mopa, ma en gima mono e nyim Jehova Nyasaye, tij lwedo mar japecho kendo mochungi kama opondo.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be the man that maketh an image—cut or molten—an abomination unto Yahweh the work of the hands of the craftsman and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall respond and say—Amen.
16 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma ok oluoro wuon kata min.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that holdeth in light esteem his father or his mother. And all the people shall say—Amen.
17 “Okwongʼ ngʼat masudo tongʼ mar jakiepe.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that moveth back the boundary of his neighbour. And all the people shall say—Amen.
18 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma wito muofu e yo.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that causeth the blind to wander in the way. And all the people shall say—Amen.
19 “Okwongʼ ngʼat maketho buch japiny moro, nyathi kich kod dhako ma chwore otho.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that perverteth the right of the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow. And all the people shall say—Amen.
20 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma terore gi chi wuon, nimar odwanyo kitanda wuon.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that lieth with his father’s wife, because he hath turned aside his father’s coverlet. And all the people shall say—Amen.
21 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma oterore gi chiayo.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that lieth with any beast. And all the people shall say—Amen.
22 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma terore gi nyamin kata nyar wuon kata nyar min mare.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that lieth with his sister, daughter of his father or daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say—Amen.
23 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma oterore gi mar-mare.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that lieth with his mother-in-law. And all the people shall say—Amen.
24 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma onego nyawadgi lingʼ-lingʼ.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say—Amen.
25 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma okawo asoya mondo oneg ngʼat maonge ketho.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that taketh a bribe to shed innocent blood. And all the people shall say—Amen.
26 “Okwongʼ ngʼat ma ok orito weche mag chikni kata luwogi ka ojiwogi.” Eka ji duto nodwok niya, “Amin!”
Cursed, be he that establisheth not the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say—Amen.
