Rapar Mar Chik 24
1 Ka ngʼato okendo dhako, to bangʼe oyudo ni ok ohere nikech osetimo gimoro ma ok nikare, onyalo ndikone barup weruok mar ketho keny, kendo oriembe oa e ode.
When a man taketh a woman, and marrieth her, then shall it be, if she find not favour in his eyes, because he hath found in her some matter of shame, that he shall write her a scroll of divorcement, and put it into her hand, and shall send her forth, out of his house.
2 Bangʼe ka dhakono osea e ode, mi obedo chi ngʼat machielo,
And, when she cometh forth out of his house, then may she go her way, and become another man’s.
3 to chwore mar ariyono bende ojok kode, mondiko barup weruok momiye, kendo oriembe, kata ka chwore mar ariyono otho,
But if the latter husband hate her, and write her a scroll of divorcement and put it into her hand, and send her away out of his house, —or, if the latter husband die, who had taken her to him to wife,
4 to chwore mokwongo mane oriembe cha kik kende kendo nikech osedoko mogak. Tim ma kamano en kwero e wangʼ Jehova Nyasaye. Kik umi richo bedi e piny ma Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu miyou kaka girkeni.
then may her first husband who sent her away not again take her to become his wife after that she hath been defiled, for that were an abomination, before Yahweh, —lest thou bring sin upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.
5 Ka ngʼato okendo machiegni, kik tere e lweny kata kete e tich moro. Kuom higa achiel miuru ngʼatno thuolo momiyogi chiege mokendono mor.
When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go forth to war, neither shall he be charged with any business, —free, shall he be for his own house one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he hath taken.
6 Kik ngʼato omak pongʼ rego kata nyapongʼ kaka gir singo mar gowi, nikech mano chalo kaka ngʼama okawo ngima ngʼato owuon kaka gir singo.
No man shall take in pledge a handmill, or an upper millstone, —for he would be taking life, in pledge.
7 Ka ngʼato oyudi ka mako ja-Israel wadgi moketo obedo misumbane kata ongʼiewe gi ngʼato, ngʼat motimo kamano nyaka tho. Nyaka ugol tim marachno e dieru.
When a man is found stealing any person from among his brethren of the sons of Israel, and making merchandise of him, or selling him, then shall that thief die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.
8 E weche mag tuoche malandore mag del, neuru ni utimo kaka jodolo ma gin jo-Lawi opuonjou. Nyaka utim adimba gik moko duto ma anyisogi.
Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do, —according to all that the priests the Levites shall direct you, as I have commanded them, so shall ye observe to do.
9 Paruru gima ne Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu otimo ne Miriam e yo kane uwuok e piny Misri.
Remember that which Yahweh thy God did to Miriam, —by the way, as ye came forth out of Egypt.
10 Ka iholo ja-Israel wadu gimoro amora, to kik iyie idhi kode e ode kodwaro chiwoni gir singo.
When thou lendest thy neighbour a loan of anything, thou shalt not enter into his house to secure his pledge:
11 Dongʼ oko kendo we en ema odonjie ode ogol gima odwa singonino.
outside, shalt thou stand, and the man to whom thou art lending, shall bring forth unto thee his pledge outside,
12 Ka ngʼatno en jachan, to kik iwe gire mosingonino nindi e odi.
And, if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep in his pledge:
13 Dwokne lawe mar abolano kapok chiengʼ opodho mondo oyud gima oumorego. Eka enogoni erokamano kendo nokwan gino kaka ranyisi mar tim makare e nyim Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu.
thou shalt, restore, to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, so shall he sleep in his own mantle, and bless thee, —and, unto thee, shall it be righteousness before Yahweh thy God.
14 Kik itim marach ni jatich mabiro tiyoni kata obed ja-Israel wadu kata japiny moro manie gwengʼu kata dalau.
Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, —of thy brethren or of thy sojourners that are in thy land, within thy gates;
15 Odiechiengʼ ka odiechiengʼ kapok chiengʼ opodho chule kar tichne mosetiyo, nikech odhier ma chudono ema ogeno, ka ok kamano to onyalo ywak ne Jehova Nyasaye nikech in kendo inibed jaketho.
for his day, shalt thou give his hire neither shall the sun, go in upon it, for, poor, he is, and, unto it, is he lifting up his soul, —lest he cry out against thee, unto Yahweh, and it be, in thee a sin.
16 Wuone ok nonegi nikech ketho mag nyithindgi, bende nyithindo kik negi nikech ketho mag wuonegi, to ngʼato ka ngʼato nonegi nikech richone owuon.
Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, nor shall sons, be put to death for fathers, —every man, for his own sin, shall he put to death.
17 Kik uketh buch japiny moro, kata mar nyathi kich kata mako law dhako ma chwore otho kaka gir singo.
Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the sojourner [or] the fatherless, —neither shalt thou take in pledge the garment of a widow;
18 Paruru nine un wasumbini e piny Misri kendo Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu ne oresou kua kuno. Mano emomiyo achikou mondo utim kamano.
so shalt thou remember that, a servant, becamest thou in Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, from thence, —therefore, am I commanding thee to do this thing.
19 Ka ikayo cham e puothi ma cham moro odongʼni ka ok ikayo, to kik idog iome. Weye ne jodak, nyithind kiye kod mon ma chwogi otho, mondo Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachi ogwedhi e kuom gik mitimo.
When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not turn back to fetch it, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, shall it belong, —that Yahweh thy God, may bless thee, in all the Work of thy hands.
20 Ka uyiengo yiend zeituni, kik utengʼ bedene diriyo, to weuru olembe modongʼ e zeituni ne jodak, nyithind kiye kod mon ma chwogi otho.
When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not glean after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong,
21 Ka usepono mzabibu e puothu, kik uchak udog utengʼ yiendgi, to weuru modongʼne jodak, nyithind kiye kod mon ma chwogi otho.
When thou cuttest off the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not go about picking after thee, —to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong:
22 Paruru nine un wasumbini e piny Misri. Mano emomiyo achikou mondo utim kamano.
so shalt thou remember that a servant, becamest thou in the land of Egypt, —therefore, am I commending thee to do this thing.
