< Daniel 3 >

1 Ruoth Nebukadneza noloso kido moro mar dhahabu ma borne noromo fut piero aboro gaboro gi nus, to lachne ne en fut apar, kendo nochunge e paw Dura e piny Babulon.
Nebuchadnezzar the king, made an image of gold, the height thereof, sixty cubits, the breadth thereof, six cubits, —he set it up in the valley of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
2 Eka ruoth nogolo chik mondo ochokne jorit pinje gi jochik jotich, gi jotelo, gi jongʼad rieko, gi jokeno, gi jongʼad bura, gi joyal buche kod jotelo duto mag gwenge, mondo gibi e nyasi mar pwodho kido mane osechungono.
And, Nebuchadnezzar the king, sent to gather together the satraps, the nobles and the pashas, the chief judges, the treasurers, the judges, the lawyers, and all the rulers of the province, —to come to the dedication of the image, which Nebuchadnezzar the king, had set up.
3 Kuom mano jorit pinje, jochik jotich, ruodhi, jongʼad rieko, jokeno, jongʼad bura, joyal buche kod jotelo mamoko duto mag gwenge nochokore kaachiel mondo gigwedh kido ma ruoth Nebukadneza nosechungo, kendo negichungʼ e nyime.
Then were gathered together, the satraps, the nobles and the pashas, the chief judges, the treasurers, the judges, the lawyers, and all the rulers of the province, to the dedication of the image, which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up, —and they stood before the image, which Nebuchadnezzar, had set up.
4 Eka jaote nokok matek niya, “Ma e gima ochiku mondo utim, yaye ogendini, gi pinje kod ji moa e dhoudi mopogore opogore.
And, the herald, proclaimed aloud, —To you, is given the word, O ye peoples, races, and tongues:
5 Ka uwinjo ywak mar tungʼ, asili, nyagweru, nyatiti, orutu kod kit thumbe mayoreyore, to nyaka upodhi piny auma kendo ulam kido mar dhahabu ma ruoth Nebukadneza osechungoni.
At what time ye shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the harp, the psaltery, the bagpipes, and all kinds of instruments of music, ye shall fall down and adore the image of gold, which Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up;
6 Ngʼato angʼata ma ok opodho piny auma mondo olam kidono to ibiro dir e mach makakni.”
and, whosoever shall not fall down and adore, shall, instantly, be cast into the burning furnace of fire.
7 Kuom mano e sa mane giwinjoe ywak mar tungʼ, asili, nyagweru, nyatiti, orutu kod kit thumbe mayoreyore, ogendini duto, pinje kod ji duto moa e dhoudi mopogore opogore ne olamo kido mar dhahabu ma ruoth Nebukadneza nochungo.
Wherefore, at the same time—when all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the harp, the psaltery, and all kinds of instruments of music, they were falling down—even all the peoples, the races, and the tongues, —adoring the image of gold, which Nebuchadnezzar the king, had set up.
8 E ndalogo jorieko ma jo-Kaldea moko nosudo nyime kendo negikwedo jo-Yahudi.
Wherefore, at the same time, drew near certain Chaldeans, —and accused the Jews:
9 Negiwachone ruoth Nebukadneza niya, “Yaye ruoth, dag nyaka chiengʼ!
they spake, and said, to Nebuchadnezzar the king: O king! for ages, live!
10 Isegolo chik, yaye ruoth, ni ngʼato ka ngʼato mowinjo ywak mar tungʼ, asili, nyagweru, nyatiti, orutu kod kit thumbe mayoreyore to nyaka podhi piny auma kendo lam kido mar dhahabu,
Thou thyself, O king, hast made a decree, that, any man who shall hear the sound of the horn, the pipe, the lyre, the harp, the psaltery and the bagpipes, and all kinds of instruments of music, shall fall down and adore the image of gold;
11 kendo ni ngʼato angʼata ma ok opodho piny auma mondo olam kidono to ibiro dir e mach makakni.
and, whosoever shall not fall down and adore, shall be cast into the burning furnace of fire.
12 To nitie jo-Yahudi moko ma iseketo jorit e migepe mopogore opogore e piny Babulon ma gin Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego, motamore timo gima iwacho, yaye ruoth. Gin ok giti ne nyisechegi, to bende ok gilam kido mar dhahabu misechungo.”
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the business of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, —these men, have made thee, O king, of no account, thy god, they serve not, and, the image of gold which thou hast set up, do they not adore.
13 Mirima mager nomako Nebukadneza mi nogolo chik mondo okel Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego e nyime. Omiyo nokel jogi e nyim ruoth,
Then, Nebuchadnezzar—with anger and wrath, gave word to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, then, these men, brought they before the king.
14 kendo Nebukadneza nowachonegi niya, “Bende en adier, Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego, ni ok uti ne nyisechena kendo ok ulam kido mar dhahabu masechungo?
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it, with design, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, —that, my god, ye are not serving, and, the image which I have set up, are not adoring?
15 Ka uwinjo ywak mar tungʼ, asili, nyagweru, nyatiti, orutu kod kit thumbe mayoreyore, mi upodho piny auma kendo ulamo kido maseloso, to mano ber. To ka ok upodho piny auma mi ulame, to ibiro diru e mach makakni. Koso uparo ni nitie nyasaye moro manyalo resou e lweta?”
Now, if ye be ready, at what time ye shall hear the sound of the cornet, the pipe, the lyre, the harp, the psaltery and the bagpipes, and all the instruments of music, ye shall fall down and adore the image which I have made, but, if ye shall not adore, instantly, shall ye be cast into the midst of the burning furnace of fire, —and who is the god that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego nodwoko ruoth niya, “Yaye Nebukadneza, onge tiende mondo wapwore e nyimi kuom wachni.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego answered, and said to the king: O Nebuchadnezzar! we are not accounting it needful, concerning this, to answer thee.
17 Ka dipo odirwa ei mach makakni, to Nyasaye mwatiyone nigi teko mar resowa, kendo obiro resowa kogolowa e lweti, yaye ruoth.
If it is, our God, whom we serve, is able to deliver us, —out of the burning furnace of fire, and out of thy hand, O king, he will deliver.
18 To kata ka dipo ni ok otimo kamano, to wadwaro ni mondo ingʼe, yaye ruoth, ni ok wabi tiyone nyisecheni kata lamo kido mar dhahabu misechungo.”
But, if not, be it known to thee, O king, —that, thy god, will we not serve, and, the image of gold which thou hast set up, will we not adore.
19 Kuom mano, mirima mager nomako Nebukadneza gi Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego kendo chunye nokethore kodgi. Nogolo chik mondo ochwak mach maliet moloyo lietne mapile nyadibiriyo,
Then, Nebuchadnezzar, was filled with wrath, and, the likeness of his countenance, was changed, against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, —he spake and gave word to heat the furnace seven times hotter than it was ever seen heated;
20 kendo nochiko moko kuom askechege maroteke mane ni e oganda mar jolweny mage mondo gitwe Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego kendo gidirgi ei mach makakni.
and, to men, who were the mightiest men in his army, gave he word to bind fast Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, —to cast them into the burning furnace of fire.
21 Omiyo jogi notwe, ka girwako kandho mag-gi, sirwechegi, kilemba mag-gi kod lewni mamoko, mi nodirgi ei mach makakni.
Then bound they, these men, in their trousers, their tunics, and their cloaks, and their (other) clothing, —and cast into the midst of the burning furnace of fire.
22 Ruoth nogolo chik mondo odir jogi e mach mapiyo, kendo liet mar mach kende ema ne onego jolweny mane otero Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego,
Therefore, because the word of the king had raged forth, and the furnace was exceeding hot, those very men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, were slain by the flame of the fire;
23 kendo ji adekgo notwe motegno kanyakla modirgi ei mach makakni.
and, these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down into the midst of the burning furnace of fire, fast bound.
24 Eka ruoth Nebukadneza nochungʼ malo ka dhoge omoko kendo nopenjo jongʼad rieko mage niya, “Donge ji adek ema ne watweyo mi wadiro e mach?” Negidwoke niya, “En kamano, yaye ruodh.”
Then, Nebuchadnezzar the king, was amazed, and rose up in haste: he spake and said to his nearest friends—Were there not three men, we cast into the midst of the fire, fast bound? They answered and said to the king, Surely, O king!
25 To nodwoko niya, “Neuru! Aneno ji angʼwen kawuotho koni gi koni e mach, ka gin thuolo kendo onge gima ohinyogi, kendo ngʼat mar angʼwen chalo gi wuod nyiseche.”
He answered and said, Lo! I, see four men, unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and, injury, there is not in them, and, the appearance of the fourth, is like to a son of the gods!
26 Eka Nebukadneza nosudo machiegni gi mach makaknino kendo nokok matek niya, “Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego, ma jotich Nyasaye Mamalo Mogik, wuoguru oko! Biuru ka!” Omiyo Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego nowuok e mach kabiro ire,
Then did Nebuchadnezzar, draw near, to the door of the burning furnace of fire, he spake and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, step forth and come hither. Then stepped forth Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, out of the midst of the fire.
27 kendo jorit pinje, jochik tich, jotelo, kod jongʼad rieko mag ruoth nosudo butgi machiegni molworogi. Negineno ka mach ne ok owangʼogi, onge yie wigi kata achiel mane mach oreyo, kandho mag-gi bende ne ok orewore, to bende ne ok gidungʼ kata mana iro.
And—being gathered together—the satraps, the nobles, and the pashas and near friends of the king, saw these men, over whose bodies the fire had, no power, nor was, a hair of their head, singed, neither were, their trousers, disfigured, —nor had, the smell of fire, come upon them.
28 Eka Nebukadneza nowacho niya, “Opak Nyasach Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego nikech en ema oseoro malaikane mi oreso jotichne! Negigeno kuome mi gidagi luwo chikna kendo ne giyie wito ngimagi kar tiyona kata lamo nyasaye moro machielo ma ok Nyasachgi giwegi.
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his messenger, and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, —when, the word of the king, they transgressed, and delivered up their bodies, that they might not serve nor adore any god, saving their own God.
29 Kuom mano, agolo chik ni ogendini duto gi ji moa e dhoudi mopogore opogore ma dipo ni owacho gimoro marach kuom Nyasach Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego mondo negi kendo utegi mondo omuki mi lokre pidhe, nikech onge nyasaye moro machielo manyalo reso ji e yo machal kama.”
Therefore do I make a decree, that, whosoever of any people, race, or tongue it be that shall charge any error upon the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and, his house, into a dunghill, shall be changed; because there is no other God, who is able to deliver, like this!
30 Eka ruoth nochoro Shadrak, Meshak kod Abednego e telo mamalo e piny Babulon.
Then, the king, advanced Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
