< Daniel 12 >

1 “E kindeno Mikael, malaika maduongʼ marito jou, biro thinyore. Kindeno nobed kinde mag chandruok malich mapok one nyaka ne ogendini chak bet e piny. Ka kindeno ochopo to nores jou ma nying-gi oyud kondiki e kitap Nyasaye.
And, at that time, will Michael, the great ruler who standeth for the sons of thy people, make a stand, and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, up to that time, —and, at that time, shall thy people, be delivered, every one found written in the book;
2 Ji mangʼeny mane osetho nochier ka moko kuomgi chier e ngima mochwere, to moko kuomgi nochier e wichkuot kod achaya mochwere.
and, many of the sleepers in the dusty ground, shall awake, —these, [shall be] to age-abiding life, but, those, to reproach, and age-abiding abhorrence;
3 Joma riek norieny ka ler mar polo, kendo jogo mane opuonjo ji mangʼeny mondo otim gik makare norieny ka sulwe nyaka chiengʼ.
and, they who make wise, shall shine like the shining of the expanse, —and, they who bring the many to righteousness, like the stars to times age-abiding and beyond.
4 To in Daniel, um kitabuni kendo idine godok nyaka chop ndalo giko. To e ndalono ji mangʼeny nodhi koni gi koni ka gimanyo rieko.”
But, thou, Daniel, close up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end, —many will run to and fro, and knowledge, shall abound.
5 Eka an Daniel nangʼicho, kendo e nyima kanyo ji mamoko ariyo nochungʼe, achiel e geng aora koni to machielo e geng aora komachielo.
Then, I, Daniel, looked, and lo! two others, standing, —one on this side of the bank of the river, and one on that side of the bank of the river.
6 Achiel kuom ji ariyo-ka nopenjo ngʼat mane orwako law mayom mane oyudo ochungʼ ewi pi ei aora niya, “Gik malichgi biro kawo kinde marom nadi mondo gitimre?”
And one said to the man clothed with linen, who was upon the waters of the river, How long shall be the end of the wonders?
7 Ngʼat morwakore gi law mayom mane ni e chuny pi aorano, notingʼo lwete korachwich kod lwete koracham malo kochomo polo, kendo ne awinje kokwongʼore gi Nying Jal Mangima Manyaka Chiengʼ; kowacho niya, “Odongʼ kinde maromo higni adek gi nus kendo ka sand misandogo jo-Nyasaye oserumo to noyud ka gigi duto osetimore.”
And I heard the man clothed with linen who was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sware by him that liveth unto times age-abiding, —For a set time and times and a half, and, when the dispersion of a part of the holy people, is brought to an end, then shall come to an end all these things.
8 Ne awinjo gima owacho, to ne ok angʼeyo tiendgi. Omiyo napenjo niya, “Ruodha, giko mag gigi duto biro chalo nadi?”
And, I, heard, but could not understand, —so I said, O my lord! what shall be the issue of these things?
9 Nodwoka niya, “Daniel, koro dhi adhiya, nikech wechegi odin kendo okan nyaka chop chiengʼ giko.
Then said he, Go thy way, Daniel; for closed up and sealed are the words, until the time of the end.
10 Ji mangʼeny ibiro pwodhi mi gidok maler kendo maonge songa, to joma richo nomed bedo maricho. Joma richo ok nowinj tiend wechegi kata achiel, to jomariek to nowinj tiendgi.
Many, will purify themselves and be made white and be refined, but the lawless, will act lawlessly, and none of the lawless, shall understand, —but, they who make wise, shall understand;
11 “Chakre chiengʼ ma misengini mitimo pile nokethie, nyaka chop chiengʼ ma gima kwero makelo kethruok nochungie, nokaw higni adek gi nus kata odiechienge alufu achiel mia ariyo gi piero ochiko.
and, from the time of the taking away of the continual [ascending-sacrifice], and the placing of the horrid abomination that astoundeth, [shall be] one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Ogwedh ngʼat marito kendo machopo nyaka giko mar higni adek gi nus kata odiechienge alufu achiel mia adek gi piero adek gabich.
Happy! is he that waiteth, and attaineth to one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 “To in Daniel, sik kuom Nyasaye nyaka ndalo giko. Bangʼe initho, to achien inichier miyud pokni chiengʼ giko piny.”
But, thou, go thy way to the end, —and thou shalt rest, and shalt rise to thy lot at the end of the days.
