< Daniel 10 >

1 E higa mar adek mar loch Sairas ruodh Pasia, nonyis Daniel (ma bende iluongo ni Belteshazar) tiend fwenyno mane oseneno. Wachno ne en adier, kendo ne en kuom lweny moro maduongʼ! Tiend wachno nobirone e fweny.
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the message was true, even a great warfare. He understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.
2 E kindeno, an Daniel, noyudo akuyo kuom jumbe adek,
In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.
3 ka ok acham chiemo moro amora moa e od ruoth bende ringʼo kata divai ne ok donji e dhoga, kendo ne ok awirora gi mo moro amora nyaka jumbe adekgo norumo.
I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn’t anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4 Tarik piero ariyo gangʼwen mar dwe mokwongo, kane oyudo achungʼ e geng aora maduongʼ ma Tigris,
In the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel,
5 ne atingʼo wangʼa kendo e nyima kanyo naneno ngʼato morwako law mayom, kendo notweyo kamba molos gi dhahabu malerie mogik e nungone.
I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man clothed in linen, whose waist was adorned with pure gold of Uphaz.
6 Dende nechalo gi kidi ma nengone tek miluongo ni krisolit, lela wangʼe ne chalo gi mil polo, to wengene ne mil ka mach makakni, bedene gi tiendene ne mil ka mula morudhi maler, kendo dwonde ne chalo gi dwond oganda maduongʼ.
His body also was like beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as flaming torches. His arms and his feet were like burnished bronze. The voice of his words was like the voice of a multitude.
7 An Daniel kenda ema naneno fwenyno joma ne ni koda to ne ok onene, kata kamano luoro maduongʼ nomakogi mi negitony gi ngʼwech mi gipondo.
I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me didn’t see the vision, but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves.
8 Omiyo ne adongʼ kenda, ka angʼiyo fweny maduongʼni; tekra norumo, lela wangʼa notwo ka gima atho, kendo nanyosora marumo.
So I was left alone and saw this great vision. No strength remained in me; for my face grew deathly pale, and I retained no strength.
9 Bangʼe nawinje kowuoyo, mine achikone ita; nindo matut notera, kendo napodho piny auma.
Yet I heard the voice of his words. When I heard the voice of his words, then I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
10 Lwedo moro nomula, mi nomiyo tiendena gi bedena ochako tetni.
Behold, a hand touched me, which set me on my knees and on the palms of my hands.
11 Nowachona niya, “Daniel, in ngʼat ma Nyasaye ogeno ahinya, aa malo kendo par matut kuom weche ma adwaro nyisigi, nikech koro oseora iri.” To ka nowachona kamano, nachungʼ malo ka atetni.
He said to me, “Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have been sent to you, now.” When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.
12 Nomedo wachona ni, Daniel, kik iluor. Odiechiengʼ mane ichake keto chunyi mar winjo tiend wachni, kendo kane ibolori e nyim Nyasachi, ema wechegi ne owinjie, kendo koro asebiro mondo akelni dwoko margi.
Then he said to me, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come for your words’ sake.
13 Makmana pinyruodh Pasia nogengʼona kuom ndalo piero ariyo gachiel. Eka bangʼe Mikael, ma en achiel kuom malaike madongo, nobiro mondo okonya, nikech ruodh Pasia ogengʼona.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but, behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Omiyo asebiro mondo alerni tiend gima biro timore ne jou, nimar fweny misenenono wuoyo kuom gik mabiro timore e ndalo mabiro.
Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days.”
15 Kane oyudo owachona wachni ne akulo wiya piny, kendo dhoga nomoko.
When he had spoken these words to me, I set my face toward the ground and was mute.
16 Eka ngʼat moro machalo dhano nomulo dhoga, mi nayawo dhoga kendo nachako wuoyo. Ne awachone ngʼama nochungʼ e nyima niya, “Ruodha, chandruok oromo chunya nikech fweny ma aseneno, kendo anyosora marumo.
Behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said to him who stood before me, “My lord, by reason of the vision my sorrows have overtaken me, and I retain no strength.
17 Ere kaka an, jatichni, dawuo kodi, in, ruodha? Tekra orumo kendo kata yweyo otama.”
For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For as for me, immediately there remained no strength in me. There was no breath left in me.”
18 Eka ngʼatno nochako omula kendo mi omiya teko.
Then one like the appearance of a man touched me again, and he strengthened me.
19 Nowachona niya, “We luor, yaye in ngʼat ma Nyasaye ogeno ahinya. Bed gi kwe! Yud teko sani, bed motegno.” Ne ayudo teko e sa mane owuoyoe kodano, kendo nawacho niya, “Ruodha, wuo awuoya, nikech koro iseduogona teko.”
He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid. Peace be to you. Be strong. Yes, be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
20 Nowachona niya, “Bende ingʼeyo gimomiyo asebiro iri? Onego adogi ma ok adeko mondo aked gi ruodh Pasia, to ka asedhi, ruodh jo-Yunani biro biro;
Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.
21 to mokwongo, abiro nyisi gima ondiki e Kitabu mar Adiera. (Onge ngʼama osebedo ka konya kedo kod ruodhigo makmana Mikael malaika ma jarit piny.
But I will tell you that which is inscribed in the writing of truth. There is no one who holds with me against these but Michael your prince.
