< Tich Joote 5 >
1 Koro ngʼat moro miluongo ni Anania, kaachiel gi chiege Safira, bende noloko puothgi moro pesa.
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold property,
2 To Anania nodongʼ gi bath pesa moko lingʼ-lingʼ mondo okonyrego, ka chiege bende nongʼeyo wachno maber. Pesa modongʼ, to nokelo oketo e lwet joote.
and kept back from the price, his wife also having joint awareness. And having brought a certain part, he placed it at the apostles' feet.
3 Eka Petro nowachone Anania niya, “Ere kaka iseweyone Satan thuolo e chunyi momiyo isewuondo Roho Maler, ka idongʼ gi bath pesa mane iyudo kuom puodho?
But Peter said, Ananias, why did Satan fill thy heart for thee to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back from the price of the land?
4 Donge puodhono ne en mari kane pok iloke pesa? Kata kane iseloke pesa, donge ne inyalo konyori gi pesago kaka ihero? En angʼo manomiyo iparo mondo itim gima kamano? Nyasaye ema isewuondo, to ok dhano!”
While it remained, did it not remain to thee? And after it was sold, it was in thine authority. Why is it that thou have placed this matter in thy heart? Thou have not lied to men, but to God.
5 Kane Anania owinjo wachno, nogore piny motho. Ji duto mane owinjo gima notimoreno ne luoro omako.
And Ananias hearing these words, after falling down he expired. And great fear developed in all who heard these things.
6 Eka yawuowi nobiro moboyo ringre gi law, mine gikawe kendo tere oko mi giike.
And after rising the young men wrapped him, and having carried him out they buried him.
7 Bangʼ seche adek, chiege bende nobiro kanyo, kokia gima nosetimore ne chwore.
And it came to pass after an interval of three hours, his wife also came in, not knowing that which happened.
8 Petro nopenje niya, “Nyisa ane ka bende ma e nengo mane Anania oyudo kuom puodho manende oloko pesa?” Safira nodwoke niya, “Ee, mano e nengone.”
And Peter responded to her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yes, for so much.
9 To Petro nowachone niya, “Ere kaka ne unyalo winjoru mondo utem Roho mar Ruoth? Ne! Tiend joma ne oyiko chwori pod ni e dhoot, in bende gibiro tingʼi giteri oko.”
But Peter said to her, How is it that it was agreed by you to challenge the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who buried thy husband are at the door, and they will carry thee out.
10 Gikanyono Safira nogore piny e tiend Petro mi otho. Eka yawuowi nobiro modonjo, to kane giyude ka osetho, ne gitingʼe gitere oko mi giike e bath chwore.
And immediately she fell down at his feet and expired. And after coming in the young men found her dead, and having carried her out, they buried her by her husband.
11 Luoro maduongʼ nomako kanisa, kod ji duto mane owinjo gik mane otimore.
And great fear developed in the whole church, and in all who heard these things.
12 Joote notimo honni gi ranyisi mathoth e dier ji, to joma oyie kuom Kristo duto ne chokore gi chuny achiel e Agoch Solomon.
And by the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders happened among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 Onge ngʼato angʼata mane nyalo hedhore mondo oriwre kodgi, kata obedo ni ji ne omiyogi luor malich kamano.
But of the rest no man dared join them, but the people magnified them.
14 To kata kamano, chwo gi mon mangʼeny nomedo yie kuom Ruoth, kendo mago manoyie nomedore e kwan joma noseyie kuom Kristo.
And more who believe were added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women,
15 Kuom mano, ji nokelo joma tuo mi giketogi e bath yore ka gipielogi e kitendini kod pere, mondo kata mana tipo mar Petro oum moko kuomgi kokalo butgi.
so as to bring the feeble to the thoroughfares, and to place them on cots and mats, so that while coming, the shadow of Peter might at the least overshadow some of them.
16 Oganda mag ji mathoth moa e mier mokiewo gi Jerusalem bende nokelo jogi matuo gi joma jochiende sando, kendo jogo duto nochangi.
And also the populace of the cities round about came together to Jerusalem bringing the feeble, and those tormented by unclean spirits, who were all healed.
17 Eka jadolo maduongʼ gi joge, mane gin jokanyo mar buch jo-Sadukai, nyiego nomako.
But after rising up, the high priest and all those with him (being the sect of the Sadducees) were filled of envy.
18 Negimako joote mi giterogi e od twech.
And they threw their hands on the apostles, and put them in the public prison.
19 To kane ochopo otieno, malaika mar Ruoth noyawo dhoudi duto mag od twech mogologi oko.
But an agent of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and after leading them out, he said,
20 Malaikano nowachonegi niya, “Dhiuru uchungʼ ei hekalu mondo unyis ji weche duto kuom ngima manyien-ni.”
Go ye, and after standing in the temple, speak to the people all the sayings of this Life.
21 Kane piny oyawore, negidonjo e hekalu mana kaka nonyisgi, mi gichako puonjo ji. To ka jadolo maduongʼ gi joge nochopo, negichoko jobuch Sanhedrin, ma en chokruok mar jodong Israel duto, mi gioro wach mondo ogol joote e od twech okel e nyimgi.
And having heard, they entered into the temple at early morning, and taught. But the high priest having arrived, and those with him, they called the council together, and all the senate of the sons of Israel. And they sent to the prison for them to be brought.
22 To kane askeche ochopo e od twech, ne ok giyudo jopuonjre kuno. Kuom mano negidwoko wach niya,
But the subordinates who came did not find them in the prison. And having returned, they reported,
23 “Ne wayudo ka dhout od twech olor matek, kendo ka jorito ochungʼ e dhoudi; to kane wayawo dhoudigo, to ne ok wayudo ngʼato ei od twech.”
saying, We found the prison indeed shut in all security, and the guards standing before the doors, but after opening, we found no man inside.
24 Kane jatend jorit hekalu gi jodolo madongo owinjo wachni, ne gidhier nono, ka giparore kuom gima wachni ne nyalo kelo.
Now when they heard these words, the high priest, and the captain of the temple, and the chief priests, were perplexed about them, whatever this would become.
25 Eka ngʼat moro nobiro mowachonegi niya, “Winjieuru! Joma ne uketo e od twech ka aneno kochungʼ ei hekalu ka puonjo ji.”
But a certain man who arrived, reported to them, Behold, the men whom ye put in the prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.
26 Kane jatend jorit hekalu owinjo wachno, nowuok mana gisano gi askechene mi gidhi giomo joote gikelo. Ne ok gitiyo githuon, nikech negiluor ni ji nyalo chielogi gi kite.
Then after departing, the captain with the subordinates brought them, not with violence, for they feared the people, lest they would be stoned.
27 Kane gisekelo jootego, negiterogi e nyim jobuch Sanhedrin mondo jadolo maduongʼ onon-giane.
And having brought them, they placed them in the council. And the high priest demanded them,
28 Jadolo maduongʼ nowachonegi niya, “Donge ne wasiemou ni kik uchak upuonj ji e nying ngʼatni, to koro ere kaka usepongʼo Jerusalem duto gi puonju, kuramo ni nyaka bura lowa nikech remb ngʼatni?”
saying, Did we not command by an order for you not to teach in this name? And behold, ye have filled Jerusalem of your doctrine, and intend to bring upon us this man's blood.
29 Petro gi joote mamoko nodwokogi niya, “Nyaka wawinj mana Nyasaye kende, to ok dhano!
And Peter and the apostles having answered, they said, We must obey God rather than men.
30 Nyasach kwerewa nochiero Yesu oa kuom joma otho, en e Yesu mane unego ka uguro e msalaba.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye murdered, having hung on a tree.
31 Nyasaye notingʼe malo mokete e bade owuon ma korachwich, kaka Ruoth kendo Jawar, mondo omi jo-Israel olokre owe richogi.
God exalted this man with his right hand, a Pathfinder and a Savior to give repentance to Israel and remission of sins.
32 Wan, kaachiel gi Roho Maler, ma Nyasaye miyo joma omiye luor wasebedo joneno kuom wechegi.”
And we are his witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
33 Kane giwinjo wachni, mirima mager nomakogi, kendo negidwaro nego joote.
And when they heard this, they were as being split with a saw, and wanted to annihilate them.
34 To ja-Farisai moro ma nyinge Gamaliel, mane en japuonj chik ma ji duto ogeno, nochungʼ e nyim buch Sanhedrin mi ogolo chik mondo ogol joote oko matin.
But after standing up in the council, a certain Pharisee named Gamaliel, a law teacher, esteemed by all the people, commanded to make the apostles be outside a little while.
35 Bangʼe nowuoyonigi kama: “Jo-Israel, paruru matut kuom gima udwaro timo ni jogi.
And he said to them, Men, Israelites, take heed to yourselves what ye are going to do against these men.
36 Pok odeko ka Theuda nyocha osieko ka, kowacho ni en ngʼat moro malich, kendo kar ji mia angʼwen noluwe. Ne onege, kendo jolupne ne oke, mi wachno orumo kamano.
For before these days Theudas rose up saying himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, bonded themselves, who was killed. And all, as many as were persuaded by him, were dispersed and developed into nothing.
37 Bangʼe achien Judas ja-Galili nothinyore e kinde mane ikwanoe ji, mi notelo ni oganda moro matin mane kwedo loch. En bende ne onege, mi jolupne olal nono.
After this man Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the registration, and drew a considerable crowd behind him. That man was also destroyed, and all, as many as were persuaded by him, were scattered.
38 Kuom mano, weuru jogi mos! Gonygiuru gidhi! Nikech kapo ni chenrogi kata timbegigi oa kuom dhano, to ok gibi dhi nyime.
And now I say to you, keep away from these men, and let them go, because if the project or this work is from men, it will be overthrown,
39 To ka oa kuom Nyasaye, to ok ubi nyalo gengʼogi, nono to dipo ka unwangʼo ni ukedo mana gi Nyasaye!”
but if it is from God, ye cannot overthrow it, and perhaps ye may be found to be fighting against God.
40 Negirwako weche Gamaliel, omiyo negiluongo joote irgi mi gigolo chik mondo ochwadgi. Eka negisiemogi matek ni kik giwuo kuom nying Yesu, bangʼe ne giweyogi gidhi.
And they were persuaded by him. And after summoning the apostles, having beat them, they commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.
41 Joote ne oa e nyim buch Sanhedrin kamor ahinya, nikech ne okwan-gi kaka joma oromo yudo sand nikech Nyingno.
Indeed therefore they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were considered worthy to be treated shamefully for the name of Jesus.
42 Odiechiengʼ kodiechiengʼ ei agolni mag hekalu kendo ot ka ot ne ok gilingʼ ma ok gipuonjo kendo gihulo Injili ni Yesu e Kristo.
And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they ceased not teaching and preaching good news, Jesus, the Christ.
