1 Bangʼ ndalo abich, jadolo maduongʼ miluongi ni Anania nodhi nyaka Kaisaria, kaachiel gi jodongo moko, kod jangʼad bura mane iluongo ni Tertulo, mine gikelo weche mane gidonjonigo Paulo e nyim ruoth.
And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with certain elders, and [with] an orator, one Tertullus; and they informed the governor against Paul.
2 Kane oseluong Paulo odonjo iye, Tertulo nochako donjone e nyim Feliks kawacho niya, “Wasebedo ka wadak gi kwe e bwo lochni kuom kinde mangʼeny kendo paroni matut osekelo dongruok mathoth e pinywani.
And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy much peace, and that by thy providence evils are corrected for this nation,
3 Wamor kodi, moluor Feliks, nikech ber duto misekelonwa, osemiyo wadak maber kuonde duto kendo e yore duto.
we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.
4 Koro yienwa mondo wawach gima okelowa iri, kapok wakethoni seche mangʼeny.
But, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I entreat thee to hear us of thy clemency a few words.
5 “Wasenwangʼo ni ngʼatni en jakel koko, kendo okelo dhawo e kind jo-Yahudi duto modak e pinyni. En jatend kanyakla mar joma ongʼanyo ma jo-Nazareth,
For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
6 kendo nyocha osetemo mondo odwany hekalu, omiyo nyocha wamake [mondo wangʼadne bura kaluwore gi chikwa.
who moreover assayed to profane the temple: on whom also we laid hold:
7 To jaduongʼ jolweny miluongo ni Lusio nobiro mokawe kuomwa githuon,
8 kendo nogolo chik ni joma nodonjone okele iri]. Kuom mano, ka inone in iwuon, to ibiro ingʼeyo adiera kuom gik mwadonjonego duto.”
from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him.
9 Jo-Yahudi duto mane ni kanyo noriwore gi Tertulo ka donjone, kendo ka giramo ni gik mane odonjnego ne gin adier.
And the Jews also joined in the charge, affirming that these things were so.
10 Kane ruoth omiyo Paulo thuolo mondo owach kore, Paulo nodwoko niya, “Angʼeyo ni kuom higni mangʼeny isebedo jangʼad bura e pinywani, omiyo amor mar wuoyo e nyimi kuom wechegi.
And when the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, Paul answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I cheerfully make my defence:
11 Ibiro yudo ni nyocha adhi Jerusalem kuom ndalo apar gariyo mosekalo mondo alem.
seeing that thou canst take knowledge that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem:
12 Joma odonjonagi ne ok oyuda ka amino wach gi ngʼato angʼata e hekalu, kata ka aketho chuny ji mondo okel koko ei sinagogi kata kamoro amora ei Jerusalem.
and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city.
13 Kata mana sani ok ginyal nyisi maler kuom ketho ma gidonjonago iri.
Neither can they prove to thee the things whereof they now accuse me.
14 Kata kamano, ayie ni alamo Nyasach kwerewa, kendo an achiel kuom joma oluwo Yor Kristo, ma jo-Yahudi luongo ni kanyakla mar joma ongʼanyo. Ayie gi gik moko duto mowinjore gi Chik Musa kod gik mane Jonabi ondiko,
But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;
15 kendo an-gi geno kuom Nyasaye machalre gi jogi, ni nitie chier moikne joma beyo kod joma richo.
having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust.
16 Omiyo atemo matek ndalo duto mondo kinda gi Nyasaye kod ji duto obed maber maonge bura.
Herein I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men always.
17 “Bangʼ bedo maonge kuom higni mangʼeny, ne abiro Jerusalem mondo akelne ogandawa mich kendo atim ni Nyasaye misango.
Now after some years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings:
18 Kane giyuda e hekalu ka adhi timo mano, negiyudo ka asepwodhora kendo aler. Onge chokruok mar ji mane ni koda, kata tim koko moro mane asechako.
amidst which they found me purified in the temple, with no crowd, nor yet with tumult: but [there were] certain Jews from Asia—
19 To nitie jo-Yahudi moko moa e piny Asia mane onego bedi e nyimi ka, ka dipo ni giseneno ketho moro kuoma ma dimi gidonjna,
who ought to have been here before thee, and to make accusation, if they had aught against me.
20 kata joma ochungʼ e nyimgi mondo owach ane ketho mane oyudago kane otera e nyim buch Sanhedrin,
Or else let these men themselves say what wrong-doing they found when I stood before the council,
21 ka ok en mana wach achiel mane agoyoe koko ka awacho ni, ‘Iyala kawuono nikech ayie ni joma otho biro chier!’”
except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question before you this day.
22 Kaka Feliks nongʼeyo weche mangʼeny kuom Yor Kristo, noloro bura, kowachonegi niya, “Ka Lusio ma jaduongʼ jolweny obiro, eka abiro ngʼado buchuni.”
But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter.
23 Bangʼe nogolo chik ni jatend jolweny mondo orit Paulo, ka omiye thuolo moromo, kendo mondo kik otam osiepene miye kony moro amora mane onyalo dwaro.
And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him.
24 Bangʼ ndalo moko, Feliks nobiro gi chiege Drusila, mane en nyar jo-Yahudi. Nooro wach mondo oluongne Paulo, mi Paulo noyalone kuom wach yie kuom Kristo Yesu kolingʼ mos owinje.
But after certain days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.
25 To ka Paulo nodhi nyime kawuoyo kuom ngima maler gi ritruok kod chiengʼ bura mabiro, Feliks nobedo maluor mowacho niya, “Mano oromo! Koro inyalo aa. Ka adwari kendo, to abiro luongi.”
And as he reasoned of righteousness, and self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me.
26 To kaka noparo bende ni Paulo ne nyalo miye asoya, nomedo orone wach kinde ka kinde mondo owuo kode, kogeno yudo gimoro.
He hoped withal that money would be given him of Paul: wherefore also he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
27 Loch mar Feliks norumo bangʼ higni ariyo, eka Porkio Festo nokawo kare. To nikech Feliks ne dwaro mondo jo-Yahudi one ni en ngʼama ber, noweyo Paulo e od twech.
But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
