< 2 Samuel 22 >

1 Kane Jehova Nyasaye osereso Daudi e lwet wasike duto kod e lwet Saulo, Daudi nowerne Jehova Nyasaye kopake gi weche mag wendni.
And David spake unto Yahweh, the words of this song, in the day when Yahweh had rescued him, out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
2 Nowacho ni: “Jehova Nyasaye en lwandana, en ohingana kendo en e jaresna;
and he said, —Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer—mine;
3 Nyasacha e lwandana, kuome ema apondoe, kendo en e okumbana kendo en e teko mar warruokna. En e ohingana, kar pondana, kendo jawarna en ema oresa kuom jo-mahundu.
My God, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, —My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, My Saviour! from violence, thou didst save me.
4 “Aluongo Jehova Nyasaye, mowinjore pako, kendo oresa kuom wasika.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
5 Apaka mag tho nolwora; kendo oula mar kethruok nohewa.
When the breakers of death had encompassed me, —the torrents of perdition, made me afraid, —
6 Tonde mag tho nondhoga morida kendo obadho mar tho nochika tir. (Sheol h7585)
the meshes of hades, had surrounded me, —the snares of death had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
7 “E chandruokna ne aluongo Jehova Nyasaye kendo naluongo Nyasacha. Nowinjo dwonda ka en e hekalu mare kendo ywakna nochopo e ite.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, Yea, unto my God, did I call, —and he hearkened, out of his temple, unto my voice, and, my cry for help, was in his ears!
8 Piny notetni kendo oyiengni, mise mag polo noyiengni; negitetni nikech nokecho.
Then did the earth shake and quake, the foundations of the heavens, were deeply moved, —yea they did shake, because he was angry,
9 Iro nowuok e ume; mach mangʼangʼni nowuokie dhoge, mirni maliel maliet bende nowuok kuome.
There went up a smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, —live coals, were kindled from it:
10 Nobaro polo mobiro e piny; rumbi molil ti nonyono gi tiende.
Then he stretched out the heavens, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
11 Noidho kerubi mi ofuyogo ka kalausi.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, —and was seen on the wings of the wind;
12 Noloso mudho obedo ka hema molwore, ma en rumbi motwere mar koth manie polo.
And made of the darkness around him, pavilions, —gathering of waters, clouds of vapours.
13 Ler nowuok kama entie mamil ka mil polo.
Out of the brightness before him, were kindled live coals of fire;
14 Jehova Nyasaye nomor gie polo; dwond Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo nowuo.
Thunder from the heavens, did Yahweh give forth, —yea, the Highest, uttered his voice;
15 Nodiro aserni mokeyo wasigu, mor polo gi mil polo noriembogi.
And he sent forth arrows, and scattered them, —lightning, and confused them;
16 Kude mag nam kod mise mag piny noelore, kane Jehova Nyasaye okwerogi kokudho gi much ume.
Then appeared the channels of the sea, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —at the rebuke of Yahweh, the blast of the breath of his nostrils;
17 “Norieyo bade ka en malo momaka, nogola ei pige matut.
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters;
18 Noresa e lwet jasika maratego, kuom jowasika, mane tek moloya.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, —from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
19 Negimonja e kinde mane an gi masira, to Jehova Nyasaye ema nokonya.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, —then became Yahweh my stay:
20 Nokela kama ni thuolo; noresa nikech nomor koda.
And brought out, into a large place, even me, —he delivered me, because he delighted in me:
21 “Jehova Nyasaye osetimona mana maromre gi timna makare; osechula kaluwore gi tich lweta maler.
Yahweh rewarded me, according to my righteousness—according to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me:
22 Nimar aserito yore Jehova Nyasaye; ok asetimo marach kuom weyo Nyasacha.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, —and not broken away from my God;
23 Chikene duto ni e nyima; pok alokora aweyo buchene.
For, all his regulations, were before me, —and, as for his statutes, I turned not from them.
24 Asebedo maonge ketho e nyime, kendo aseritora mondo kik atim richo.
So became I blameless towards him, —and kept myself from mine iniquity:
25 Jehova Nyasaye osemiya pokna mowinjore gi timna makare, mana machal gi kaka aler e wangʼe.
Yahweh therefore repaid me, according to my righteousness, —according to my pureness before his eyes.
26 “Ne jo-adiera, ibedonegi ja-adiera, to ni joma onge ketho, to ibedonegi maonge ketho,
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —with the blameless hero, thou didst show thyself blameless;
27 ne jomaler, inyisori kaka ngʼama ler, to ne joma yoregi obam, inyisori kaka ngʼama rach.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, —but, with the perverse, thou didst shew thyself ready to contend:
28 Ireso joma muol, to wangʼi rango josunga mondo idwokgi piny.
And, a patient people, thou didst save, —but, thine eyes, were on the lofty—thou layedst them low;
29 In e tacha, yaye Jehova Nyasaye Jehova Nyasaye loko mudho momaka bedo ler.
For, thou, wast my lamp, O Yahweh, —and, Yahweh, enlightened my darkness;
30 Ka ikonya to anyalo loyo jolweny momonja; ka an gi Nyasacha to anyalo lwenyo ohinga.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, —by my God, I leapt over a wall.
31 “Yor Nyasaye en yo malongʼo; wach Jehova Nyasaye onge ketho. En okumba ni jogo duto mopondo kuome.
As for God, blameless is his way, —the speech of Yahweh, hath been proved, a shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
32 Ere Nyasaye moro makmana Jehova Nyasaye? Kendo en ngʼatno ma en Lwanda makmana Nyasachwa?
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? and who a Rock, save our God?
33 Nyasaye ema miya teko kendo omiyo yora bedo mokwe.
GOD, is my fortress of strength, —and shewed to the blameless his way;
34 Omiyo tiendena bedo mayot ka tiende mwanda; kendo en ema omiyo achungʼ kuonde man malo maboyo.
Planting my feet like the hinds’, —yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand;
35 Otiego lwetena ne lweny; bedena nyalo ywayo atungʼ mar nyinyo.
Teaching my hands, to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms;
36 Imiya okumbani mar loch; ikulori piny mondo imi abed maduongʼ.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy condescension, made me great.
37 Imiyo yo mawuothoe bedo malach, mondo tiendena kik ba yo.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places, under me, —so that mine ankles faltered not:
38 “Ne alawo wasika mi atiekogi; ne ok aweyogi nyaka negirumo.
I pursued my foes, and destroyed them, —and returned not, till they were consumed;
39 Ne atiekogi chuth, mane ok ginyal chungʼ; negipodho e tienda.
So I consumed them, and crushed them, and they rose not again, —thus fell they under my feet:
40 Ne imiya teko mar kedo lweny; ne imiyo jomamon koda kulore e nyima.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, —thou subduedst mine assailants under me:
41 Ne imiyo wasika oringo kadhi, mine atieko joma ok dwara.
And, as for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, —yea, them who hated me, that I might destroy them:
42 Ne giywak mondo okonygi, to ne onge ngʼama ne nyalo resogi; ne giywakne Jehova Nyasaye, to ne ok odwokogi.
They cried out, but there was none to save, —unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
43 Ne agoyogi ma giregore ka buru mayom mar lowo; nanyonogi mawuotho kuomgi ka chwodho man e yo.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like the dust of the earth, —like the clay of the lanes, did I crush them, stamp them down.
44 “Iseresa e lwet jowa mane monja; iserita kaka jatelo mar ogendini. Joma ne ok angʼeyo nobet e bwo lochna,
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of my people, didst keep me to be the head of nations: —a people whom I had not known, served me;
45 kendo jopinje mamoko biro ira kobolore, ka awuoyo to giwinja kendo gitimo gima adwaro.
The sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me, —at the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, —
46 Negibiro ka gitetni; kendo ka chunygi ool, ka gia kuondegi mag pondo.
The sons of the foreigner, were disheartened, and came quaking, out of their fortresses.
47 “Jehova Nyasaye ngima! Pak obed ne Lwandana! Duongʼ obed ni Nyasaye, ma Lwanda kendo ma Jawarna.
Yahweh liveth, and blessed be my rock, —and exalted be the God (of the rock) of my salvation: —
48 En e Nyasaye ma chulona kuor, maketo ogendini e bwoya,
The GOD who hath avenged me, and brought down peoples under me;
49 ma gonya e lwet wasika. Nitingʼa malo moloyo wasika; ne iresa e lwet jo-mahundu.
And brought me forth from among my foes, —yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, from the man of violence, hast thou delivered me.
50 Emomiyo anapaki e kind ogendini, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, kendo anawer wende mapako nyingi.
For this cause, will I praise thee, O Yahweh, among the nations, —and, to thy name, will I touch the strings: —
51 “Jehova Nyasaye kelo resruok maduongʼ ne ruoth moketo; onyiso ngʼwonone mogundho ma ok rum ne ngʼate mowir, ni Daudi gi nyikwaye nyaka chiengʼ.”
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, to David and to his Seed, unto times age-abiding.
