< 2 Jo-Korintho 2 >
1 Omiyo ne angʼado e chunya, ni ok anachak alimu kendo ka limbena dikelnu kuyo.
But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
2 Nikech ka an ema amiyo ubedo mokuyo, to en ngʼa ma dimiya mor, ka ok mana un ma amiyou chuny lit?
For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?
3 Mano emomiyo ne andikonu kamano, mondo kane abiro iru to kik umiya kuyo un monego umiya mor. Nikech angʼeyo malongʼo chuth ni ka amor eka un duto bende umor.
And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came, I would not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy would be shared by all of you.
4 Ne andikonu ka chunya chandore kendo lit; kendo pi wangʼa ne chwer mangʼeny, nikech ne ok adwar mondo ami ubed mokuyo, to ne adwaro mondo ungʼe kaka aherou, un duto, gihera matut.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made to grieve, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.
5 Ponono ngʼato osekelo chuny lit, an ok ema osekelona chuny litno, to osekele mana ni un, ka ok adwar jimbo wachno.
But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.
6 To kum ma ji mathoth kuomu osemiyo ngʼatni koro oromo.
This punishment which was inflicted by the many is sufficient for such a one;
7 Sani koro nyaka uwene richone kendo uhoye, mondo kik kuyo mareno nege.
so that, on the contrary, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.
8 Omiyo akwayou mondo koro unyise hera moloyo.
Therefore I beg you to confirm your love toward him.
9 Gima omiyo ne andikonu ne en mondo atemu ane kendo angʼe ka bende un joma nigi luor e gik moko duto.
For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.
10 Ngʼato angʼata muweyone richone an bende aweyone. Nikech ka aweyone ngʼato richone; ka dipo an bende onego awene ngʼato e wach moro amora, to atimo kamano kuom Kristo, nikech un,
Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,
11 mondo kik Satan lowa gi riekone, nikech wangʼeyo chenro mage.
that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
12 Kane abiro Troa mondo ayal Injili mar Kristo ne ayudo ka Ruoth noseyawona dhoot,
Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,
13 to ne pod aonge gi kwe e chunya nikech ne ok ayudo owadwa Tito kuno. Omiyo ne agoyo oriti ne jogo, mi adhi Makedonia.
I had no relief for my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.
14 Erokamano ni Nyasaye, ma kinde duto telonwa kaka joma oselocho kuom Kristo, kendo ma konyore kodwa kuom keyo tik mamit mar ngʼeyo Kristo.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.
15 Nikech Nyasaye tiyo kodwa kaka tik mamit mar Kristo e kind joma iwaro kod joma lal.
For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God in those who are saved and in those who perish:
16 Ne joma lal wadum tik mar tho, to ni joma iwaro to wadumnegi tik mar ngima. Koro en ngʼa mowinjore gi tich machal kamano?
to the one a stench from death to death, to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
17 Nikech wan ok wachal gi ji mathoth mamoko, magajo wach Nyasaye mondo giyudie ohala. Wan to wan joma Nyasaye oseoro kendo wawacho adiera e nyime kuom Kristo.
For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
