< 2 Weche Mag Ndalo 32 >

1 Bangʼ tich maber mane Hezekia otimo, Senakerib ruodh Asuria nobiro momonjo Juda. Ne ogoyo agengʼa ne mier mochiel gohinga koparo ni onyalo kawogi mondo gidok mage.
After [these] things, and their establishment, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fortified cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2 Kane Hezekia oneno ni Senakerib nosebiro kendo noparo mar kedo kod Jerusalem,
And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that he purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
3 noporo wach gi jodonge kod jotend lweny mondo gigengʼ pi soko moa oko mar dala maduongʼ kendo ne gikonye.
He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which [were] without the city: and they helped him.
4 Oganda maduongʼ nochokore kendo ne gigengʼo sokni duto aore mane kadho e piny kagiwacho niya, “Angʼo momiyo ruodhi mag Asuria biro mondo onwangʼ pi mangʼeny.”
So there were assembled many people, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
5 Eka notiyo matek koloso kuonde mane omukore mag ohinga kendo nogero kuonde maboyo mag ngʼicho. Nogero ohinga machielo e tok mokwongo kendo nomedo loso ndiri mosiro Dala Maduongʼ mar Daudi. Bende noloso gig lweny kod okumbni mangʼeny.
Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised [it] up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo [in] the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.
6 Noketo jotend lweny mondo otel ne ji kendo nochokogi e nyime e laru mar dhoranga dala maduongʼ kendo nojiwogi gi wechegi:
And he set captains of war over the people, and assembled them to him in the street of the gate of the city, and encouraged them, saying,
7 “Beduru motegno kendo gi chir. Kik ubed gi luoro kata kik chunyu tho nikech ruodh Asuria kod jolweny mangʼeny man kode nimar wan gi teko maduongʼ moloye.
Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that [is] with him: for [there are] more with us than with him:
8 Teko mar dhano ema ni kode to wan to wan kod Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachwa makonyowa kendo kedonwa e lwenjewa.” Kendo ji nobedo gi chir kane giwinjo wach Hezekia ruodh Juda.
With him [is] an arm of flesh; but with us [is] the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
9 Bangʼe kane Senakerib ruodh Asuria kod jolweny mage duto ne ogoyo agengʼa Lakish, nooro jotend lweny mage Jerusalem mondo owach ne Hezekia ruodh Juda kod jo-Juda duto mane ni kanyo kowacho niya,
After this Sennacherib king of Assyria sent his servants to Jerusalem, (but he [himself laid siege] against Lachish, and all his power with him, ) to Hezekiah king of Judah, and to all Judah that [were] at Jerusalem, saying,
10 “Ma e gima Senakerib ruodh Asuria wacho: En kama nade miketoe genoni, momiyo isiko Jerusalem ka ogoni agengʼa?
Thus saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, On what do ye trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem?
11 Ka Hezekia wacho ni, ‘Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasachwa biro resowa e lwet ruodh Asuria,’ donge uparo ni owitou mondo kech gi riyo onegu?
Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
12 Donge Hezekia owuon nomuko kuonde motingʼore mar lemo kod kende mag misango mag nyasayeni kowachone jo-Juda kod jo-Jerusalem ni, ‘Nyaka ulam e nyim kendo mar misango achiel kendo unuwangʼ misango mau e wiye’?
Hath not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall worship before one altar, and burn incense upon it?
13 “Donge ungʼeyo gima an kod kwerena osetimo ni ogendini mamoko duto mag pinje? Dak ne nyiseche pinjego duto resgi e lweta?
Know ye not what I and my fathers have done to all the people of [other] lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of my hand?
14 Kuom nyiseche duto mag ogendini mane kwerena otieko, en mane kuomgi mosereso joge e lweta? Angʼo momiyo uparo ni nyasachu biro resou e lweta?
Who [was there] among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?
15 Omiyo kik uwe Hezekia wuondu kendo mi ulal kama. Kik uyie kode nikech onge nyasach oganda kata pinyruoth moro amora ma osereso joge e lweta kata e lwet kwerena. Omiyo ere kaka nyasachu noresu e lweta!”
Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you in this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom hath been able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?
16 Jotelo mag Senakerib nomedo wuoyo marach kuom Jehova Nyasaye kendo kuom jatichne Hezekia.
And his servants spoke yet [more] against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.
17 Bende ruoth nondiko baruwa moyanyogo Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel kendo nowuoyo kuome kojare niya, “Mana kaka nyiseche mag jopinje moko ne ok oresogi e lweta, omiyo nyasach Hezekia bende ok nores joge e lweta.”
He wrote also letters to rail at the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of [other] lands have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of my hand.
18 Bangʼe negiluongo joma ne nitie Jerusalem e ohinga ka gikok gi dwol maduongʼ gi dho jo-Hibrania mondo obwog-gi kendo omi gibed gi luoro eka mondo gikaw dala maduongʼno.
Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews' speech to the people of Jerusalem that [were] on the wall, to affright them, and to fill them with consternation; that they might take the city.
19 Ne giwuoyo marach kuom Nyasach Jerusalem kaka ne giwuoyo kuom nyiseche molos gi lwedo mag ogendini mag piny.
And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, the work of the hands of man.
20 Ruoth Hezekia gi janabi Isaya wuod Amoz noywagore ka lemo e nyim polo kuom wachni.
And for this [cause] Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
21 Omiyo Jehova Nyasaye nooro malaika mane onego jolweny gi jochungʼ kod jotelo e kambi mar ruodh Asuria, omiyo nowuok modok e pinye gi wichkuot. Kane odhi e kar lemo mar nyasache, yawuote moko nonege kod ligangla.
And the LORD sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he had come into the house of his god, they that came forth from his own bowels slew him there with the sword.
22 Kamano e kaka Jehova Nyasaye noreso Hezekia kod jo-Jerusalem motony e lwet Senakerib ruodh Asuria kendo e lwet ruodhi mamoko bende. Omiyo Jehova Nyasaye noritogi kuom pinje duto mane olworogi.
Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all [others], and guided them on every side.
23 Ji mangʼeny nokelo ni Jehova Nyasaye mich mag-gi Jerusalem kendo Hezekia ruodh Juda bende negikelone mich ma nengogi tek, kendo chakre kanyo ogendini duto nomiye luor maduongʼ.
And many brought gifts to the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that from thenceforth he was magnified in the sight of all nations.
24 E ndalogo Hezekia nobedo matuo kendo nohewore, omiyo nolamo Jehova Nyasaye mane odwoke kendo nomiye ranyisi mar hono.
In those days Hezekiah was sick and near to death, and [he] prayed to the LORD: and he spoke to him, and he gave him a sign.
25 To Hezekia ne nigi sunga e chunye kendo ne ok odwoko erokamano kaluwore gi ngʼwono manotimne; omiyo mirima nomako Jehova Nyasaye kode kaachiel gi Juda gi Jerusalem.
But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit [done] to him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.
26 To Hezekia nolokore moweyo timo richo mar sungruok e chunye mana kaka jo-Jerusalem bende notimo, omiyo mirimb Jehova Nyasaye ne ok ochako omake kodgi e ndalo Hezekia.
Notwithstanding, Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, [both] he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
27 Hezekia ne nigi mwandu mangʼeny kod luor mi noloso kuondege mag fedha gi dhahabu gi kite ma nengogi tek gi gik mangʼwe ngʼar, gi okumbni kod gik moko mopogore opogore mabeyo mage.
And Hezekiah had very great riches and honor: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels:
28 Bende nogoyo deche mikane cham mokaa gi divai molos manyien kod mo kendo nogero kunde ne dhok mopogore opogore kod abila mag rombe.
Store-houses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.
29 Nogero mier kendo ne en kod rombe mangʼeny kod kweth mag dhok nikech Nyasaye nogwedhe kod mwandu mangʼeny.
Moreover, he provided for himself cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance in great abundance.
30 Hezekia ema ne ogengʼo thidhna matin mar Gihon kobaro pige mondo oluw bath Dala Maduongʼ mar Daudi yo podho chiengʼ. Tije duto mane lwete omulo nodhi maber.
This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.
31 To kane oorne joote gi jotend Babulon mondo openje kuom ranyisi mar hono mane otimore e piny, Nyasaye noweye mondo oteme mondo eka ongʼe gima ne nitiere e chunye.
But, in [the business of] the embassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was [done] in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all [that was] in his heart.
32 Weche mamoko duto mag ndalo loch Hezekia kod timbene mabeyo ondiki e fweny mar janabi Isaya wuod Amoz e kitap ruodhi mag Juda kod Israel.
Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they [are] written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, [and] in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
33 Hezekia notho moyweyo kaka kwerene kendo noyike e got kama liete nyikwa Daudi ne nitiere. Jo-Juda duto kod joma ne nitie Jerusalem nomiye duongʼ kane otho kendo Manase wuode nobedo ruoth kare.
And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chief of the sepulchers of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
