1 Solomon wuod Daudi nogurore motegno e pinye nikech Jehova Nyasaye Nyasache ne ni kode kendo ne okete obedo ngʼama duongʼ miwuoro.
And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom. And Jehovah his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
2 Eka Solomon nowuoyo gi jo-Israel duto, magin jotend migepe mag jolweny alufu achiel kod jotend jolweny mag mia achiel, gi jongʼad bura, to gi jotelo duto man Israel, kaka jotend dhoudi.
And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every ruler in all Israel, the heads of the fathers.
3 Kendo Solomon gi chokruok duto nodhi kar lemo motingʼore malo e Gibeon nikech Hemb Romo mar Nyasaye mane Musa jatich Jehova Nyasaye noloso e thim ne ni kanyo.
So Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon. For the tent of meeting of God was there, which Moses the servant of Jehovah had made in the wilderness.
4 Noyudo ka Daudi nosekelo Sandug Nyasaye koa Kiriath Jearim nyaka kama noselosone, nikech nosegurone hema Jerusalem.
But the ark of God David had brought up from Kiriath-jearim to the place that David had prepared for it. For he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
5 To kendo mar misango mar mula mane Bezalel wuod Uri ma wuod Hur noloso ne ni Gibeon e nyim hekalu mar Jehova Nyasaye, omiyo Solomon kod oganda duto nolamo Nyasaye kanyo.
Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of Jehovah. And Solomon and the assembly sought to it.
6 Solomon noidho malo kar kendo mar misango mar mula e nyim Jehova Nyasaye ei Hemb Romo, mochiwo misengini miwangʼo pep alufu achiel.
And Solomon went up there to the brazen altar before Jehovah, which was at the tent of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
7 Gotieno nogo Nyasaye nofwenyore ne Solomon mowachone niya, “Kwa gimoro amora midwaro mondo amiyi.”
In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8 Solomon nodwoko Nyasaye niya, “isenyiso ngʼwono maduongʼ ni Daudi wuora kendo iketa abedo ruoth kare.
And Solomon said to God, Thou have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his stead.
9 Koro, Jehova Nyasaye, mad imi singruok mane imiyo wuora Daudi ochopi, nikech iseketa ruoth kuom oganda mangʼeny ka buru manie piny.
Now, O Jehovah God, let thy promise to David my father be established. For thou have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10 Miya rieko kod ngʼeyo mondo atel ne ogandani nimar en ngʼa manyalo telo ni oganda maduongʼ machalo kama?”
Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people. For who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
11 Nyasaye nodwoko Solomon niya, “Nikech ma e gima chunyi dwaro kendo ne ok ikwaya mwandu kata duongʼ kata pak, kata tho mar wasiki, kata kwayo mondo idag amingʼa, to isekwayo rieko kod ngʼeyo kaka dirit ogandana ma aseketi ibedo e ruoth,
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those who hate thee, neither yet have asked long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou may judge my people over whom I have made thee king,
12 omiyo anamiyi rieko kod ngʼeyo. Kendo abiro miyi mwandu kod duongʼ kod pak maonge ruoth kata achiel kuom mago moteloni kata mabiro bangʼi nobedgo.”
wisdom and knowledge are granted to thee. And I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before thee, neither shall any after thee have the like.
13 Bangʼe Solomon nodok Jerusalem koa kamotingʼore gi malo man Gibeon, e nyim Hemb Romo. Kendo notiyo tich ruoth Israel.
So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting, to Jerusalem, and he reigned over Israel.
14 Solomon nongʼiewo geche mag lweny kod farese; ne en gi geche lweny alufu achiel mia angʼwen kod farese alufu apar gariyo mane oketo e mier madongo mag geche lweny to moko bende noketo Jerusalem kama nodake.
And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. And he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
15 Ruoth nomiyo fedha gi dhahabu obedo manwangʼo yot ka kidi akida Jerusalem kendo yiend sida ne ngʼeny mana ka yiend ngʼowu ma otwi e got.
And the king made silver and gold to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars he made to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
16 Solomon nokelo farese koa Misri kod e piny miluongo ni Kue, johala mag ruoth nongʼiewogi e piny Kue.
And the horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt. The king's merchants received them in herds, each herd at a price.
17 Negingʼiewo gach lweny koa Misri e nengo mar kilo abiriyo mar fedha kendo faras achiel e nengo maromo kilo ariyo. Bende ne giusogi ni ruodhi duto mag jo-Hiti gi jo-Aram.
And they went after and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. And so they brought them out by their means for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Syria.
