1 Timotheo 1

1 An Paulo jaote Kristo Yesu kaluwore gi Chik Nyasaye ma Jawarwa, kod Kristo Yesu, ma en genowa,

Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ, according to [the] command of God our Saviour, and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 Andikoni in Timotheo wuoda mar adier kuom yie: Ngʼwono gi kech kod kwe moa kuom Nyasaye Wuoro gi Kristo Yesu Ruodhwa obed kodu.

to Timotheus, [my] true child in faith: grace, mercy, peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 Kaka ne anyisi mondo itim kane an e wuodha madhiyo Makedonia, adwaro mondo imed bedo Efeso nikech jomoko ni kuno mapuonjo ji puonj mag miriambo manyaka ikwergi mondo giwe timo kamano.

Even as I begged thee to remain in Ephesus, [when I was] going to Macedonia, that thou mightest enjoin some not to teach other doctrines,

4 Bende giwe keto chunygi e sigendini manono gi sigendini mag nonro mag anywola ma ok rum. Gik ma kamagi medo mana mbaka makelo miero kar gero tich Nyasaye, ma gerore kuom yie.

nor to turn their minds to fables and interminable genealogies, which bring questionings rather than [further] God's dispensation, which [is] in faith.

5 To wach maduongʼ mar Chikni en hera mawuok e chuny maler kendo maonge bura kod yie mar adier.

But the end of what is enjoined is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;

6 Jomoko osebaro oweyo magi mi gidonjo e mbekni mag oyuma maonge tiendgi.

which [things] some having missed, have turned aside to vain discourse,

7 Gigombo mondo gibed jopuonj Chik to gikia tiend gik ma giwacho kata gik ma giwuoyo kuomgi.

desiring to be law-teachers, not understanding either what they say or concerning what they [so] strenuously affirm.

8 Wangʼeyo ni chik ber mana ka ngʼato konyore kode e yo mowinjore.

Now we know that the law [is] good if any one uses it lawfully,

9 Wangʼeyo bende ni chik ok oket ni joma kare, to okete ni joketh chik gi jonjore; gi joma okia Nyasaye, kod joricho, gi joma timbegi ochido, kod joma odagi lemo; bende ni joma nego wuonegi kata minegi. Bende chikno oket ni jonek

knowing this, that law has not its application to a righteous person, but to [the] lawless and insubordinate, to [the] impious and sinful, to [the] unholy and profane, to smiters of fathers and smiters of mothers; to murderers,

10 gi jochode, kod chwo ma terore gi chwo wetegi gi joma timo ohand wasumbini gi jo-miriambo, kod joma kwongʼore kariambo chutho mondo gigweny adiera. Adier chik oket ne gimoro amora makedo gi puonj mar adier.

fornicators, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, perjurers; and if any other thing is opposed to sound teaching,

11 Puonjno owinjore kod Injili man-gi duongʼ mar Nyasaye mogwedhi, mane oket e lweta.

according to the glad tidings of the glory of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

12 Agoyo erokamano ni Kristo Yesu Ruodhwa mosemiya teko nikech ne okwana kaka ja-adiera mi oyiera e tichne.

[And] I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me power, that he has counted me faithful, appointing to ministry him

13 Kata obedo ni chon ne awuoyo marach kuom Nyasaye kendo ne asando joma oyie ka akwiny, to nokecha nikech natimo gigo kuom kia kendo kuom bedo maonge yie.

who before was a blasphemer and persecutor, and an insolent overbearing [man]: but mercy was shewn me because I did it ignorantly, in unbelief.

14 Ngʼwono mar Ruodhwa ne ool kuoma mogundho, kaachiel gi yie kod hera mayudore kuom Kristo Yesu.

But the grace of our Lord surpassingly over-abounded with faith and love, which [is] in Christ Jesus.

15 Wach mar adier mowinjore ji oyiego chuth en ni Kristo Yesu nobiro e piny mondo owar joricho, to an e jaricho marachie moloyo joricho duto.

Faithful [is] the word, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am [the] first.

16 To kuom mano Yesu Kristo nokecha an mane an jaricho ewi joricho duto, mondo onyis ngʼwonone maduongʼ maonge giko kuoma. Nodwaro mondo abed ranyisi, ne joma biro yie kuome mondo oyud ngima mochwere. (aiōnios g166)

But for this reason mercy was shewn me, that in me, [the] first, Jesus Christ might display the whole long-suffering, for a delineation of those about to believe on him to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)

17 Opak Ruodhwa mochwere! En Ruoth ma ok tho, kendo ma ok ne. En e Nyasaye kende. Duongʼ kod pak odogne nyaka chiengʼ. Amin. (aiōn g165)

Now to the King of the ages, [the] incorruptible, invisible, only God, honour and glory to the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

18 Timotheo wuoda, amiyi Chikni kaluwore gi weche mane okor kuomi chon. Ti kod chikni mondo iked lweny maber,

This charge, [my] child Timotheus, I commit to thee, according to the prophecies as to thee preceding, in order that thou mightest war by them the good warfare,

19 kisiko e yie motegno ka chunyi ok ngʼadni bura kaka jaketho. Jomoko osedagi winjo bura ma chunygi ngʼadonegi kuom gik maricho ma gitimo, omiyo koro yiegi osenimo.

maintaining faith and a good conscience; which [last] some, having put away, have made shipwreck as to faith;

20 Moko kuom jogo gin Humenayo gi Aleksanda, ma aseketo e lwet Satan mondo opuonjre ni kik giyany Nyasaye.

of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan, that they may be taught by discipline not to blaspheme.
