1 Jo-Thesalonika 3

1 Emomiyo ka chunywa ne chandore kaonge kwe ne waparo ni ber mondo wadongʼ kendwa Athene.

Therefore no longer containing, we delighted to be left alone at Athens;

2 Ne waoro Timotheo, ma en owadwa kendo jatich Nyasaye kaachiel kodwa e tij lando Injili mar Kristo, mondo ojiw chunyu ubed motegno kuom yie maru,

and we sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God in the gospel of Christ, in order to establish you, and exhort you concerning your faith;

3 kendo mondo kik sand mwayudo mi chunyu aa. Ungʼeyo maber ni kaka jo-Kristo nyaka wayud sand.

that no one should be shaken in these tribulations. For you know that for this we are appointed.

4 Chutho, kane wan kodu to ne wasiko ka wanyisou ni nyaka sandwa, kendo e gima osetimorenwa, mana kaka ungʼeyo.

For indeed, when we were with you, we foretold you that we are about to suffer tribulation; as indeed took place, and you know it.

5 Mano emomiyo kane koro ok anyal medo bedo mos, ne aoro jaote mondo angʼe kaka yieu chalo. Ne aluor ni dipo ka jatem osedonjore kodu mi omiyo tich mane watiyo matek e dieru obedo kayiem.

Therefore I indeed, no longer containing, sent that I might know your faith, lest perhaps the tempter tempted you, and our labor may be in vain.

6 Koro Timotheo osedwogo koa iru, kendo osekelonwa weche mabeyo kuom yieu kod herau. Osenyisowa kaka usiko uparowa gi paro mabeyo kendo ni un bende ugombo nenowa mana kaka wan bende wagombo nenou.

But Timothy, having already come to us from you, and proclaimed to us the good news of your faith and your divine love, and that you always have a good mention of us, longing to see us, as we do to see you;

7 Kuom mano, jowetewa, yie ma un-go osejiwowa e chandruok duto kaachiel gi masiche ma waneno.

therefore we were comforted, brethren, over you in all our distress and tribulation on account of your faith;

8 To chunywa koro odwogo nikech uchungʼ motegno kuom Ruoth.

because we now live, if you stand in the Lord.

9 Ere kaka dwago ne Nyasaye erokamano nikech un ma dirom gi mor duto ma umiyo wamorgo e nyim Nyasaye?

For what thanks are we able to render unto God in your behalf, for all the joy with which we rejoice on account of you before our God;

10 Odiechiengʼ gotieno walamo Nyasaye gi chunywa duto mondo olosnwa thuolo mar nenou kendo wangʼ gi wangʼ, mondo wabi wapongʼnu kuonde morem e yie maru.

night and day praying incessantly that we may see your face, and perfect the deficiencies of your faith?

11 Mad Nyasachwa kendo Wuonwa owuon, kod Ruodhwa Yesu, losnwa yo ma wanyalo birogo iru.

But God himself, even our Father, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you:

12 Ruoth mondo omi herau omedre kendo olandre e kindu ngʼato gi ngʼato, kaachiel kod ji duto, mana kaka hera mwaherougo bende olandore.

and the Lord fill you and cause you to superabound in divine love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also do towards you;

13 Ruoth mondo omi chunyu obed motegno mondo ubed joma onge ketho kendo jomaler e nyim Nyasaye Wuonwa, chiengʼ ma Ruoth Yesu biroe kaachiel gi joge maler duto.

in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness in the presence of God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints: amen.
